72h left to protect us!

Hello,
In 72 hours, Brazil's Supreme Court will decide if discrimination against LGBT+ people should be considered a crime, like racism and religious intolerance.
With a new president that says he "would rather have a dead son than a gay one", this decision is more urgent than ever.
More than 260,000 people have signed the petition and we have 72 hours to get to 300,000. Will you help get the word out?
Thank you for standing with us and our fellow LGBT+ Brazilians,
Leandro
All Out Director in Brazil
P.S. In case you missed it, a few weeks ago my colleague Ana and I went to the Supreme Court in Brasília for a meeting where we delivered thousands of signatures. Here's a picture:
Ana and Leandro, All Out staff in Brazil, stand in front of Brazil's Supreme Court. The sign says 212,217 people say no to discrimination against LGBT+ people, in Portuguese.

-------------------
Hello ,
Last weekend, Brazil elected Jair Bolsonaro, one of the country's biggest homophobes, as our next President.
During the election, Bolsonaro's supporters started to feel empowered by the hate and division promoted by his campaign. Violence against LGBT+ people and other minorities escalated across the country.
Two women were murdered and one beaten, just for being trans. A man was murdered in his apartment for being gay. Many others were verbally and physically attacked by Bolsonaro supporters.
But before Bolsonaro takes office in January, we have a major opportunity to make it much harder for this hate to harm LGBT+ Brazilians.
In less than 2 weeks, Brazil's Supreme Court will decide if discrimination against LGBT+ people should be a crime in the country. Right now, we have no legal protection against hate crimes. That's why we're mobilising people in and outside of Brazil to pressure the Supreme Court to do the right thing.
Our partners will take our signatures to the Court on the day of the vote.
A chance to protect LGBT+ lives in Brazil. SIGN
The Supreme Court will determine if Congress must approve a law to protect LGBT+ Brazilians from discrimination. They will also decide if sexual orientation and gender identity should be included in the existing law that prohibits discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, and religion.
The Supreme Court will play a decisive role in protecting LGBT+ Brazilians from the violence and hate we know awaits us once Bolsonaro takes office, but we need your help to ask them to do the right thing.
Obrigada for all your support,
Ana
