France, Alternative Libertair #222 - Universities Unionists hunted (fr)

In May 2012, the University of Paris I notified four of his students that they would be 
brought before a disciplinary board. The direction of the college continues its anti-union 
line and authoritarian. ---- Among the students in question, three of them were accused of 
having beaten Antoine Diers, President of MET [ 1 ] and Lambeth councilor, elections to 
the central councils. The fourth was supposed to have attacked the center's president and 
the head of security who each filed a complaint. No militant MET was challenged while 
several were named in the report of referral to the university. It was even said that they 
were outside the university. It must be said that several ministers [ 2 ] including higher 
education had spread in the press to denounce these events, however unspeakable they said.

In sum, the version distributed by the MET and taken over by the government was good, 
including some unions Paris I, he had to convince. The reality is quite different: twenty 
activists came to Tolbiac MET with the intention to do battle, then they have not set foot 
in the year. Anthony Diers took a hit after hit himself an activist South Student - which 
is not really "beating by individuals equipped with iron bars," which has been described. 
The fourth student, he was prosecuted for violence, actually committed by vigilantes who 
attacked a meeting he organized, seriously injuring a student. These private security 
guards went to throw chairs at students. No action was given, again, by the university. 
Not surprising that the guards of Paris VIII feel entitled to attack students for free. 
Paris I did not protect his students but does not lose an opportunity to try to get rid of 
troublemakers, understand trade unionists. In fact, four students have been common all 
union activists. Student at South for the first three and the fourth UNEF. Difficult to 
believe in coincidence. Three of them are even elected to the university. The survey, 
conducted wholly dependent, full of vices and procedures confirms the targeting those 
deemed too restless.

Get rid of troublemakers

South were released after five months of procedure. The third was excluded one year
