(en) France, CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF reoccupation, November17, 2012, on the Defending Zone A, Notre Dame des Landes, Frontdeportations (fr)

Manifestation of reoccupation! ---- To rebuild - against the airport! ---- Forks, beams,
planks, nails and tools in hand ... ---- Appointment on November 17 in the morning. ----
Information yet to be defined: instead of appointment, directions for you visit the camp
yesterday. Please check the website ZAD: https://zad.nadir.org ---- The fight against the
airport project of Notre Dame des Landes has stopped taking magnitude in recent years.
Among other initiatives, a movement occupation spread on the frames and farmland
threatened. A year ago, faced with increasing threats to different houses, huts and
vegetable gardens, ZAD habitant.es of solidarity and collective called for a demonstration
reoccupation in deportation cases. ---- When Caesar floundering ... ----

Since Tuesday, October 16, feared the offensive began. The 1,800 hectares of
ZAD were invaded by 1,200 police. They attacked gradually to
occupied houses and shacks they destroyed and washed away thoroughly piece
in part out of the area, leaving nothing that could serve to occupant.es
The occupant.es and all those who joined them on the spot resisted,
barricaded, reoccupied. Together, we have done everything to stop the machines
destruction and police block the movements ... We're still here!

Our determination was strengthened by a great wave of solidarity with the four
corners of the hexagon and beyond: daily demonstrations in Nantes and
various cities, supplies and support equipment, actions representations
PS, da Vinci and others, manufacturers of the airport and mills of our lives.

While most homes have already been evicted hard, and some
huts, many other habitant.es remain dispers?.es in the woods,
fields in the trees. New buildings are already underway. In addition to the
occupant.es, habitant.es of "legal" and are always paysan.ne.s menac?.es of
clear duty of ZAD in the months to come. Suffice to say that this attempt
expulsion XXL is here to stay. Large malignant Prefecture have
their military officially titled "Caesar." A we show them
the resistance to the airport is actually "irreducible" and they
will finally defeated and ridiculous.

It does not let anything and is always there!

Beyond the call to join the area and to pursue actions in solidarity
the coming weeks, we confirm today that a large demonstration
reoccupation will take place Saturday, November 17, 2012, starting from one of the villages
near the ZAD.

After this first round of expulsions, we aspire to a time of mobilization
broad constructive and offensive shared by the various components of the
struggle: occupant.es, agriculteur.rice.s, habitant.es corner and elsewhere,
associations and solidarity groups .... The objective will be to rebuild together
open space organization on threatened lands. We want to make this place a
crossroads for opposant.es a starting point for new habitats,
antenna to organize resistance to future work, those in the airport
Bar that road first stage of the project scheduled to begin in January. They
may well militarize the area, they will not deter us from our resettlement.

# # Ayrault, Vinci and others - the message is clear - Clear the land!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND PRACTICES

- This call for reoccupation was launched by the Network and Reclaim The Fields
occupant.es the ZAD who had occupied wasteland with more than one
thousand people in May 2012 in order to implement the vegetable farm "Le Sabot".
Today we invite all groups who wish to relay this
initiative and to join the organization on November 17.

- Beyond a demonstration, it is above all a collective action
gain in power with a long and active presence of the greatest number.
Plan to be there for the weekend and if possible to start
occupation, continue the construction, defense, and the emergence of
ideas for the future.

- Bring tools and materials diverse and varied, overalls, sound,
wacky creations, portable radios, pies and share
unfailing determination.

- It will be possible to arrive the day before. Space camp will be announced in
days before the event.

- Given the energy required to resist evictions by then and exhaustion
Therefore for occupant-es, the success of this event depends
crucially on the involvement of community and solidarity are all self-
elsewhere. We call that will organize public meetings, relay
information and co-voiturages in each village for November 17.

- Photocopiable posters and leaflets are available on site or format
paper nantes (B17) or the ZAD (Cow laughs). Any financial support is
welcome (by check payable to "Living without an airport," The Primaudi?re NDDL 44130;

WHY WE FIGHT? The resistance at the airport and his world.

At Notre-Dame des Landes, policy makers and concreters working on a new airport
to hone their dreams voracious metropolis and economic expansion. This is
Now they want to destroy 40 years under concrete 2000 hectares of land
and agricultural habitats north of Nantes, ZAD, Deferred Development Zone
A Defending Zone became.

But since the beginnings of this project are organized resistance. This struggle is
at the intersection of issues that unite and think of strategies. In
Through it, we are fighting a drip feed, industrial society
and global warming, economic development policies and
control of the territory, cities and standardization of forms of life,
privatization of the common myth of growth and the illusion of participation
Democratic ...

Today as yesterday, the opposition-are far from giving up, continuing the
fighting demonstrations, legal action, links with other struggles, strikes
hunger, dissemination of newspapers, toll free, as opposed to drilling, sabotage,
disturbance of impact studies and archaeological excavations Biotope,
occupations of offices and sites, etc ...

To the chagrin of the state and Vinci bought and destroyed to clear the ZAD, the
life and activity are densified and diversified over three years. Of
many abandoned houses have been rehabilitated and occupied the
huts were built on the ground and in the trees, collectives occupy
land for market gardening. Meeting spaces, bakery,
Library home were open to all. More than a hundred
people were constantly ZAD, supported by many of the other
area and elsewhere who met there and there organized. Presence on the
field allow fast reactions to the process undertaken by Vinci
for the work. It is this wealth of creative and rebellious they are now seeking to
eradicate able to start work.

We recall the past victories against plans megalomaniac, the
nuclear military. As the book in Plogoff or Larzac, we know that this
airport can still be stopped. We look at the other side of the Alps where
opposition to the construction of the high-speed line Lyon-Turin mobilizes
a valley, where tens of thousands of people prevent work.
Here as any attempt to land their concrete costly.

Today in Lausanne, there is a strong demand for home students.
This is logical given the quantitative importance of the teachings

during this recovery underway, there would still be five hundred students
homeless when they / they are in need or living in Lausanne

http://www.gettingthevoiceout.org/il-ne-faut-pas-me-faire-peur-je-ne-signerai-pas-de-toute-facon/

Tu es en Belgique depuis quand?

1999, 13 ans.

[Migreurop] Crisis in Belgium ?

lhttp://www.hln.be/hln/nl/957/Binnenland/article/detail/1530988/2012/11/09/Twee-vluchten-met-asielzoekers-geschrapt-wegens-te-duur.dhtml

In Belgium, lack of money, two flights for "illegal" migrants to their country were canceled, next week.

Public Action Against the Tar Sands draws large police presence --To view photos from the
action, click http://vancouver.mediacoop.ca/story/anarchists-block-shell-station/14219 On
a sunny Saturday afternoon in East Vancouver, some thirty protesters gathered at a city
park and then proceeded to blockade a Shell station located at Clark Drive and 12th
Avenue. Organized by BC Blackout, an anarchist project opposing industrial expansion &
resource exploitation in the province, the rally targeted Shell for their participation in
the Alberta Tar Sands and other environmental atrocities around the world. ---- The
blockade lasted for approximately 1 hour, during which scores of leaflets were handed out
to pedestrians and drivers, who were also exposed to banners reading "Blockade Pipelines"
and "Get the (S)Hell Out of the Tar Sands - No Pipelines, No Tankers," (both referring to
planned pipelines including Enbridge's Northern Gateway, the Pacific Trails Pipeline, and
Kinder Morgan's TransMountain pipeline). Numerous motorists honked in approval as they
drove by.

The same Shell station was blockaded on October 23 by Rising Tides Vancouver-Coast Salish
Territories. Unlike that picket, which saw no police presence at all, today's direct
action saw as many cops deployed as there were protesters (approximately 30). This
included motorcycle cops, bike cops, as well as members of the Public Safety Unit in "soft
hats" (as opposed to helmets and shields). The PSU were transported in two Sprinter vans.

Before the rally begun at China Creek Park on Broadway near Clark, commanders of the PSU
approached the protester's gathering to "lay down the ground rules" for the protest. A
Staff-Sergeant informed the anarchists that this time "there won't be any fires in the
street" (probably referring to the previous May Day rally on Commercial Drive).

Although police prevented a total shutdown of the station, the blockade succeeded in
drastically reducing business for the Shell station. Some protesters asserted that the
large police presence, and their surrounding of the Shell station, probably helped deter
some motorists from using it. There were no arrests made and the protest dispersed without
incident (at the time of posting).

Do not pay for their crisis! An International call

Wednesday, November 14, 2012, inter strikes will take place in Greece, Portugal, Spain,
Italy, Cyprus, Malta. Sector strikes will be held in Belgium, France, ... Events are
planned in all these countries, but also in Slovenia, Czech Republic ... We're not a
European strike, or even a day of demonstrations across Europe. But the initiative is
important because it marks a new step in building a relationship of forces at European
level to oppose the austerity policies that employers and governments inflict on
employee-es only to guarantee profits a small minority. ---- The "crisis" is not a
phenomenon extranatural. It is simply the current capitalist system. ---- European
institutions, the European treaties do not protect us, rather, they were created to
support those who exploit us. Unemployment, insecurity, poverty, flexibility, racism is
the future that we offer those who govern.

Instead, we want to build a different future, based on the needs of all possible with a
different redistribution of wealth that we produce in the world.

Strikes and demonstrations will take place on November 14 is a step. The alternative
unions and basic work organizing a European strike for a long time we have organized

European Court of Human Rights rulings against Greece for detention conditions 2012

Published on November 8, 2012

The European Court of Human Rights ruled against Greece in the case of the 29-year-old Chinese Luping Lin, for ill-treatment during detention in Elliniko prison near by Athens in 2010. The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Greece to pay the Chinese citizen 5,000 euros in compensation after wrongly arresting him in Athens and mistreating him during detention. The 29-year-old had entered the country legally in 2006 and obtained a residence permit but was arrested and deported four years later.
kathimerini (in greek)
In the case of Bygylashvili v. Greece of 25. September 2012 Greece was also condemned by the ECHR for detention conditions in Petrou Ralli Aliens Police Directorate. The applicant, Gannet Bygylashvili, a Georgian national, had taken a case against Greece claiming a violation of Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman and degrading treatment). The Court decided that the detention conditions, after her arrest for irregular entry into the country, in the premises of the Attica sub-directorate with responsibility for foreigners, were inhumane due to the fact of over-crowding, lice infestation and poor quality drinking water.

In the case of Ahmade v. Griechenland of 25. September 2012 Greece was condemned for the detention conditions in two small police stations in Athens. The judgement by the European Court of Human Rights, int the case of Ahmade v. Greece, found that the asylum seeker was wrongfully detained in a police station.
The applicant, Mr Seydmajed Ahmade, is an Afghan national who lives in Athens. He was arrested on several occasions for unlawfully entering Greek territory, and released in August 2008 on condition that he left the country within three months.
In August 2009, Mr Ahmade was arrested for involvement in a fight between foreigners and Greeks. An expulsion order was issued against him and he was placed in detention on the ground that he posed a threat to public order and was likely to abscond.
He was held for 83 days, first in the Aghios Panteleïmon police station, then in the Pagrati police station. Following the dismissal of his asylum application, he was given 60 days to leave the country; he appealed unsuccessfully against that decision.

Niets is echter minder waar, schrijft Tibor Machan op The Daily Bell.

What Your Stuff Says About You’.

(en) Britain, anarchist Collective Action: Terrain for an encounter: social anarchism and communisation

The following was published as an introduction and a primer for an anarchist reading of
the following text - 'What is Communisation? - Leon de Mattis - as a result it assumes a
certain understanding of concepts within communisation theory (outlined in that text) as
well as being a rather cursory presentation of the controversies therein. Nonetheless we
reproduce it by itself as a useful starting point for further investigation and debate
into the relationship between these revolutionary theories. ---- Communisation as a
conception of the process of revolutionary transformation is intrinsically tied to the
history of utopian thought. As a result it is possible to trace many communising
sentiments as far back as the pre-modern, agrarian ideals of the Diggers, the writings of
Thomas More, Babeuf, Robert Owen and many other early utopian socialists.

However as a current of modern communism, and therefore those ideas born from the
experience of the First International (anarchism and Marxism included), communisation is
more specifically understood as a product of the so-called French ?Ultra-Left? of the
1970s. Communisation, in this sense, developed as a criticism of the orthodox Marxist
theory of socialist transition and the role of a ?socialist? state, arguing instead that
communism was not a ?stage? to be reached after the revolution but the essential content
of the revolution itself. This, understandably, was informed by the actual experience of
?socialist? states ? which were authoritarian, imperialist and bureaucratic - but also a
concentration on Marx?s theory of the commodification of labour and the operation of the
law of value as essential to understanding the persistence of capitalist organisational
forms during even revolutionary upheavals and the key chain which the proletariat must
break. Key writers within this tradition include Theorie Communiste (TC) and Gilles Dauv?.

While TC and Dauv? are continuing influences on contemporary communisation theory,
collectives such as SIC present a far more eclectic understanding of the various
theoretical influences that lead to the solidification of a ?communisation current?. This
has even warranted the inclusion of non-Marxist revolutionary traditions. Noys, for
example, describes communisation as a ?mixing-up of insurrectionist anarchism, the
communist ultra-left, post-autonomists, anti-political currents? among others.

The inclusion of anarchism within this list should not come as a great surprise to any
individual with a firm understanding of social anarchism. While differences still remain
in terms of principle and general theoretical framework between anarchism and even
libertarian traditions of Marxism, the essential content of communisation - the rejection
of transition and reformism (often referred to as ?programmatism?), attacking the law of
value and communisation as revolutionary process ? represent very common ground indeed. In
fact these are many of the key principles that anarchists have historically held in
opposition to Marxists in terms of the debates during and following the collapse of the
International. Bakunin (1870), for example, was quick to criticise the supposedly
progressive role that Marxists alleged early social democracy was playing on the workers?
movement, stating clearly that any who believed a ?political revolution? (i.e. the
formation of a ?socialist? state) could proceed a social revolution were no more than
advocates of ?bourgeois socialism?.

Advocates of anarchist communism in particular had in the experience of its formation to
consider exactly these issues in terms of the alternatives to the economic theories
principally associated with anarchism ? collectivism and co-operativism. Both of these,
which argued for the continuation of some form of market mediation in a post-revolutionary
society, made it necessary to consider the exact nature and content of the revolutionary
process. It was Kropotkin (1892) who argued in opposition to the wages and accounting
systems advocated by the collectivists of the dangers of the continuance of any of the
existing systems of consumption or production, or partial conquests of the existing system
and the need for a process of universal revolutionary expropriation ?
Quote:
?on the day we strike at private property, under any one of its forms, territorial or
industrial, we shall be obliged to attack them all. The very success of the Revolution
will demand it?
. Communism (or communisation) had to be both a universal and immediate process
transforming all aspects of humanity?s societal intersubjectivity and its relationship
with its environment. To argue otherwise was to open the door for reaction and
counter-revolutionary measures. To put it simply, as Cafiero (1880) did, ?anarchy and
communism are the two essential terms of the revolution? 1.

It would be unfair, however, to simply characterise communisation as a more general
re-affirmation of social anarchist principles (which would open up the question of what
stake we do in fact have in this debate). For one thing, as Noy points out, the central
claims of communisation are also ?sites of dispute? and in this sense it is better to talk
of conceptions of communisation than an individual theory. This is particularly the case
in respect to the distance between the voluntaristic ?drop-out? (referred to as
?desertion?) politics of Tiqqun (to be discussed further below) and the highly
structuralist ideas of Theorie Communiste (with the British collective Endnotes somewhere
in between). Picking apart these ?disputes? give a much clearer idea of what is valuable
in the communisation project for us, as social anarchists, as the essential questions that
arise are of common concern ? how does the immediacy (communism as a response to global
capitalism) and immanence (communism as a relationship emerging from within capitalism)
contained in our visions of political change translate into the theory and practice of
revolutionaries?

Mixed into this debate is also an equally important question in terms of where these ideas
have come from. While classical anarchists could state in a propagandistic sense that
anarchist communism was both a desirable and possible alternative to capitalism it is also
necessary to situate how and where a movement embodying these ideas can arise through the
actions of the popular classes. Anarchists gave their varying answers to this in reference
to the conditions of nineteenth and early twentieth century capitalism, and the
problematics evidenced in these are illustrative, e.g. the question of mass participation
vs. minority action, the use of political violence etc., but this also has to be an
ongoing process. Immediacy and immanence has to translate from a more concrete analysis of
capitalism and class as it exists now. As specifists we argue that this is a critical
component of the political work of the specific anarchist organisation.

In respect to this, as the article outlines, communisation presents a compelling analysis
of the changed nature of both capitalism and the proletariat in a globalised, post-Fordist
world. This analysis often takes on a more or less historically determinant role dependant
on which particular writer is presenting it; irrespective of this they are still essential
readings for contemporary anti-capitalists. This is especially so in respect to the
situation of a profound crisis for revolutionary ideas (particularly in the dislocation of
working class identity and the collapse of material bases for ?workers power?) that
communisation has as its core, as well as its call to create new modes of thinking about
contemporary struggles, things that both strongly resonate with our experience in
Collective Action.

Areas for debate ? organisationalism, the subjective moment and historical determinism

Finally then, we introduce a number of areas for debate in which we see the potential for
critical exchange within the context of the ideas that communisation puts forward.

While it must be stated clearly that we have multiple, strong criticisms of the ?drop-out?
politics advocated by Tiqqun, seeing them as flawed, partial and fundamentally removed
from the experience and activities of the wider class, credit must be given to (a perhaps
inconsistent) vision of communisation as translated into praxis. As Noy (2011) notes,
there is a risk with alternate visions that what is essentially being outlined is the
necessary content and scale of revolutionary transformation in respect to the current
context with little account of the possible or concrete actions leading to this. As he
explains,

Quote:
"there is a risk that communisation becomes a valorization of only fleeting moments of
revolt, of small chinks in which the light of revolution penetrates capitalist darkness;
or that it become the promise of a total revolution that will achieve its aim in process,
without any substantial account of how that might take place. This is not to call for a
return to the ?party? form, or to rehash debates concerning Leninism (debates that might
well be important), but rather to suggest that the difficulty in specifying agents of
change can also flow into the difficulties in specifying the contents of change.
Certainly, communisation was right to critique the formalism of the left, what TC calls
its ?programmatism?, that could only ever argue that once we had the correct form
(Leninist party, workers? councils, etc.) communism would unfold. What is as yet unclear
is what forms of struggle will make ?the poetry of the future?.? (Noy, 2011: 14-15 )
In response to this Endnotes only re-affirms that communisation ?does not take the form of
a practical prescription?, but rather what is at stake is ?what the revolution is?. This
is a criticism that may expose the limitations of a praxis which aims to create
?communisation now?, but still leaves open the question of subjectivity and the potential
tasks (if any) of revolutionaries.

Our response is to ask more critically: what are the conditions that make communisation a
credible and sensible action for proletarians? What processes and interventions play a
part in the translation of the tendencies towards communism that exist in many social
movements (however minor) and their translation into practice? In response we look to our
own tradition of organisationalist anarchism and the role of revolutionary minorities as
catalysts within wider struggle. We see this as distinct from the formalist
characteristics that TC ascribes to the traditional Left and anarcho-syndicalist movement.
The problem with these conceptions was not necessarily that they put forward the idea of
leadership as a component force within revolutionary struggle; rather it was that this
took on a substitutionist role in displacing the proletariat as agent of revolutionary change.

Rather, we see the role of a ?party for proletarian self-abolition? emerging within the
context of the autonomous movements of the class wherever they might appear, seeking to
solidify that autonomy and propagating the practices of revolutionary expropriation and
communisation as the only sensible response to the onslaught of global capitalism. Most
importantly this is a movement that has to emerge within the context of the composition of
the class itself and not something inserted by the ideas or organisation of revolutionary
minorities. Although this is equally not to downplay the important role that both emergent
and existing revolutionary minorities can play in that process of recomposition.

The content of our programme, the anarchist programme, does not seek to replicate the
programmatism identified by TC -the reproduction of capitalist identities ? principally
that of workers ? and integration into spheres of capitalist mediation. The anarchist
programme is in line with the desire to see the formation of a new movement out of the
crisis in programmatism by emphasising the content ? social autonomy ? over the means. To
return to the work of Marx, any practical activity of class conscious workers has to
insert itself (if it intends to be socially relevant) within the process of a class acting
in itself to a class acting for itself. However, we identify social autonomy as a medium
of that struggle ? concretised as class counter-power ? not as a stated goal of the
revolutionary process. Our role is to identify how that content relates to the existing
struggles of the class, a process which aims to realise a true, consolidated program as
realised within and through the ongoing experience of the class.

Whether we will indeed see such a ?new movement? is completely open to question. We are,
of course, while being at the same time hard-headed about the problems that face us,
reluctant to entirely accept the negative prognosis of some within the communisation
tradition. Capitalism may be a highly adaptive social system, but it is also, as present
events make particularly clear, one consumed with crisis. In this context it is the
content of communisation ? of the call for the direct and immediate resolution of the
injustice, humiliation and poverty daily inflicted on proletarians ? that is perhaps most
pertinent.

proletarian figures? This is not quibbling over terms but
well attempt to apprehend or the ways in which class antagonism
incarnates today. Achieving this would allow us to better
understand what is at stake in the current struggles.

---------------------------------------------------
Who are the OLS

Libertarian and Social offensive was born in the year 2003 will participate in the
construction of a real offensive that put an end to capitalism, patriarchy and contributes
to the development of other future reports without domination or exploitation. We advocate
for a society based on solidarity, social equality and freedom. Several principles
underlie OLS:

Independence Act in a manner free from any institutional logic tied to the state or capital.

Federalism and individual groups that make up the es-OLS are autonomous, they combine
freely while respecting the foundations and values ??of the OLS.

Assembl?isme Practice or encourage horizontal forms of organization and decision-making
relied on direct democracy.

Anti-authoritarianism Combat all forms of domination whether social, gender, 'race' ... We
also reject the logic of conquest of power that the implementation of cons-institutional
powers to fight against the hierarchical practices.

Out Through our intervention policies and practices, we want to ask at the end of today's
society. We want to promote the existence of alternative social relations and helping to
develop space and time emancipated and subversive. We therefore take part in the emergence
of creative utopia.

Mutual support and promote research contribution of solidarity between subversion
projects, according to the principles of freedom of association and experimentation, to
act in accordance with the partners ... We want to work for a world where well-being and
happiness are among the first concerns.

The OLS is as an element in the constellation libertarian, making its contribution to the
revolutionary movement. The organization is not an end in itself and should not take
precedence over the struggle and reflection.

We refuse to engage in terms of our own interests organizational "pass" a fight to another
as modes. Even if we appear from time to time as "OLS" - through Offensive newspaper we
publish at some political events - to confront, defend or share our values, our ideas, our
practices, we do not the logical representation. In a society based on appearances, the
revolutionary movement must not succumb to the lure of spectacle.

We fight especially against everything that makes us human beings alienated and / or
oppressors : social exploitation, economic insecurity, patriarchy, heterosexism,
technological tyranny, racism, massification. Faced with the logic of confinement and
stupidity, we offer other forms of emancipatory associations where the return engagement
between theory and practice are ongoing and we can build stable relationships, not
alienating, esteem and cooperation.

We want to build a truly democratic society, if we define democracy as a form of
organization of power to know and control our conditions. It is important to think of new
social organizations that allow sharing of debates and decisions. This amounts to breaking
the power of autonomy. It should not be outside of the company, but in his breast must be
socialized.

If the parentage of OLS is part of the long history of anarchism, we refer also to other
associations and movements. We are trying our level contribute to the renewal of the
critical libertarian, participate in the creation and dissemination of alternative
anti-authoritarian and liberating.

(en) France, Alternative Libertair: - Outlook on anarcha-feminism in St Imier Meetings (fr)

The emancipation of women was a reflection element of the anarchist movement in
construction met for the first international antiauthoritarian 1872. Hundred and forty
years later, while just concluded meetings of Saint-Imier, the women have been able to get
a place in the struggles and within organizations? ---- The program of meetings anarchists
Saint-Imier which took place from August 8 to 12, leaving the impression that feminism was
at the heart of the concerns of the organizers: a workshop of self-defense-only, a
conference, but more importantly, provided in the large auditorium, reported in the large
wholesale red box tables anarcha-feminist every day! But the reality was different and as
Saint-Imier in the struggle, women were significantly underrepresented in an environment
where men are almost always the front of the stage. No preparation had been made for the
tables and it was for participants to cope with the vague title. Early interventions
p?tirent lack of context. But women have decided to make the following non-mix, and
concrete proposals have gradually emerged.

Sexist practices die hard

The discussions focused on problems within meetings. Practices as macho die hard and do
not stop at the door of our movements: hubbub, cut speech, invisibility in the debates,
intimidation or simple ignorance, the words of women are struggling to be heard.

The women decided to organize to act collectively. The letter G, formed with the hand
gender, should report situations of male domination, and provocative text, read at the
meeting closing the report. Prospects have been launched for the current anarcha-feminist
create an international network through a mailing list, write a charter and organize
international meetings in the next two years. The current anarcha-feminist, was formalized
in 1992 at international meetings that took place alongside those anarchist federations.
It aims to feminize practices anarchists and anarchist wear reflections within feminism,
including family, social benefits, etc.. [ 1 ] On these points, the meetings of
Saint-Imier has been a boon for its development. It is regrettable, however, that there
has not been at the meetings, back in the mix and the debate has focused on internal
problems without addressing the merits, the issue of external claims or strategy feminist
struggles. Despite the desire for unity of women anarchists, these debates could highlight
real differences. Finally, these roundtables, even unprepared will only give sequels to
games that are not finished joint statement organizations.

France, Alternative Libertair: "Shock competitiveness" - when the employers are writing the government program (fr)

With the measures announced Tuesday, November 6 by Jean-Marc Ayrault under the name
"National Pact for growth, competitiveness and employment", the collusion between the
government and the capitalist puppet appears clearer than ever. These are workers, women
workers, retirees, young people will pay the piper. No wonder that the UMP and the MEDEF
welcome this loud and clear: "The corset encloses the company will be released," a
boastful Laurence Parisot, president of MEDEF. ---- And there are actually for the
capitalists to rejoice as they will benefit from tax breaks of $ 20 billion per year!
These gifts will be offset by a decline in public spending (less welfare, less public
services) and price increases through the increase of VAT: the VAT rate increased from
19.6% is 20%, the intermediate rate of 7% to 10%. However, VAT is the most unfair tax
because it affects the same way the poorest and the richest.

These measurements are made, if you listen to the government to restore the sacrosanct
"competitiveness" and to "ensure" continuity of employment for the greater interest of the
workers and the workers themselves. This policy is in line with that of previous
governments, which are in no case have prevented layoffs, outsourcing and social misery.
In reality, it is simply to restore the profits of capitalists blunted by the crisis at
the expense of those who produce wealth: the workers.

So what will be implemented by the government allegedly left is nothing but a vast
movement of redistribution of wealth in favor of those who already have the most: the
capitalists. Faced with this type of criminal policy which is already considerable damage
in other countries (Greece, Spain), which overwrites the wealthy people, we can only rely
on ourselves: everywhere in businesses, neighborhoods , places of study, let us unite to
build the strength and solidarity. Stand the prospect of change and self-managed
capitalist society.

(en) Ireland, Belfast, Organise!, The Leveller* #12 - Page 6

Empty Purse - Empty Protest? - Welfare Reform Protest at Stormont ---- Hours after Cameron
announced his latest attack on young people there were protests at Stormont against the
introduction of the Welfare Reform Bill. ---- While members of the PCS Union took
industrial action NIC-ICTU and the Welfare Reform Group held a protest at the steps of
Stormont. Members of Organise! were present alongside trade unionists from NIPSA, GMB,
UNISON, Unite, PCS, the Belfast and District Trade Union Council, ICTU Youth and women?s
groups such as the Women?s Resource and Development Agency and Footprints Women?s Group.
---- Cameron?s latest announcement threatens to rob under 25 years olds of housing
benefit. ---- It is an attack that has further angered many working class people and which
will increase homelessness - with fatal consequences.

Unfortunately the protest was little more
than a photo opportunity for NIC-ICTU and
some opportunistic MLAs who implement cuts
with one hand while getting away with
holding union banners in the other.
Patricia McKeown had the politicians
quaking in their boots no doubt when she
argued we had voted for them to represent
us not to implement cuts. And if they don?t
watch out we may vote for someone else,
anyone, just not them!

The faith our union bureaucrats continue to
place in our politicians is staggering and
betrays a deep misunderstanding of the
nature of ?representative? democracy. ?Our?
MLAs are not there to defend anyone?s class
interests apart from those of the rich.

NIC-ICTU are busy trying to convince the
Assembly they can have a ?useful? role in
partnership with our rulers. The only role
that will be tolerated (one they are actually
very capable of) is one of lapdog.

We need to move beyond empty protests
and photo calls. As long as there is no real
resistance capitalism will continue its all out
class war against workers, claimants and
the sick.

One friendly member of the CPI welcomed
us to the protest with a greeting of ?hello
losers?. Funny? Not when we are all going
to continue to be losers while we follow
failed ?strategies? and failed unions that
make up ICTU.

-----------------------------------

Which Queen do you want?

Its been reduced to a choice between a
mythical ?celtic? warrior goddess or Lizzie
Windsor. Despite McGuinness? handshake
the Queens visit to Northern Ireland did not
go without protest. Unfortunately the
protests were not quite anti-monarchist and
did not have any hope of uniting working
class communities across the north in
opposition to an institution that is
reactionary, privileged and symbolic of
wealth and inequality.

Irish nationalists staged a visual protest on
the side of Black?s Mountain with the slogan
?Eriu is our Queen? and displaying a huge
tricolour. ?Outraged? by the sight of the
huge tricolour and the insult to their
?Britishness? a group of loyalists trekked up
the hill to remove it. Following a vicious
attack on a veteran republican that left him
hospitalised a hardy bunch of republicans
resolved to defend the huge flag and a
claim that some mythical warrior deity is
their true queen.

Hundreds of Irish nationalists gathered on
the mountain that evening. One nationalist
veteran said:

the call has gone out to republicans
across the city to restore the visual
protest on the mountain even if it
means clashing with loyalists from the
nearby Springmartin housing estate.

As anti-monarchists it is saddening that
protests against the Queens visit are simply
protests against the fact that she is the
?British? Queen. In the context of the wee
north this becomes an attack on a symbol of
Britishness that a sizeable amount of the
population see as an attack on them. That
this is ridiculous unfortunately makes it no
less true.

The lefty cheerleaders of Irish nationalism
are keen to point out the ?radical? nature of
Irish republicanism. There is nothing radical
in it - from Sinn Fein to the various
?dissident? groups there is no revolutionary
or class based opposition to monarchism.
This is a clash of nationalisms plain and
simple. All the more disheartening at a time
when working class people and communities
are on the receiving end of a all out class
war with benefits to the poor being cut
while the royals remain the biggest welfare.

--------------------------------------

Assembly to Rubberstamp - Westminster?s Attack on the Vulnerable

With the likes of the Daily Mail, mainstream
media and the Jeremy Kyle show?s ongoing
demonization of poor working class people
hardly a political feather was ruffled by
Cameron?s latest proposals. His latest plans
for benefits cuts see a further escalation in
attacks on the working class, particularly the
working poor and the young.

Payment in kind, a cap on housing benefits,
no benefits for the young until after they
have paid contributions and more
harassment for those signing on are among
the suggested ?reforms? of the welfare
system.

He also suggested that
workfare be rolled out even
further with claimants being
forced to work in return for
benefits after six months on
the dole. As for those on
sickness benefits his message
is ?heal thyself!?.

Single mothers with children
as young as three could be
made to prepare for work by
writing a CV in return for
income support.

His proposed reforms include
removing access to all housing
benefit for anyone aged
under 25! Such a move would
immediately increase
homelessness among the
young and is little less than a
death sentence for many
young people who would not
be able to endure life on the
streets.

Ministers have signalled that
they are looking for a further
?10bn in welfare cuts, and it
seems there are no better
people to pay for these cuts
than the poor.

The Leveller has already had
reports of single fathers
being made homeless as a
result of new ?under-occupancy? rules that
have seen housing benefit cut for
accommodation needed for children staying
with their fathers. The amount of housing
benefit payable has already been
reduced. Many are having to make the
difference in the rent charged and the
lower amounts paid out in housing benefit
up from their benefits.

Protests have already taken place - but we
need to move from protest to resistance.
Claimants need to build a union of our own.

----------------------------------------

Homophobia It Hasn?t gone Away You Know

Lord Ken Maginnis? is not alone in his
homophobic bigotry. Edwin Poots is still
denying homosexuals the right to donate
blood.

The problem goes deeper though. While
the 2011 Equality Survey found that
lesbian, gay or bisexual people were the
only group to see a decline in negative
attitudes towards them - down from 21%
in 2008 to 15% in 2011 - this has not seen an
increase in positive attitudes. People have
increasingly indicated ?neutral? opinions.

While the most worrying and negative
attitudes continue to be towards members
of the Travelling community people were
extremely negative towards transgender
people. 35% of respondents would mind
(a little or a lot) having a Traveller as a work
colleague, 54% would mind having a
Traveller as a neighbour while 55% would
mind having a Traveller as an in-law.

Transgender was included in the survey for
the first time and 35% of respondents
would mind (a little or a lot) having a
transgender person as a work colleague,
while 40% would mind having a
transgender person as a neighbour and
53% would mind having a transgender
person as an in-law.

In addition 21% expressed negative
attitudes to Eastern European migrant
workers.

Workers need to stand together in
solidarity, against the scape-goating of one
section or another of our class. Bigotry and
intolerance must be stamped out. We can
all join in and visibly make our opposition to
intolerance and prejudice known - a good
starting point will be to join the Belfast and
Derry Pride parades on the 4th August and
25th August respectively.

More Grants Axed

From next year the Department of
Education and Learning will stop paying
?1,810 on behalf of every student from
Northern Ireland who have chosen to study
in the Republic. Stormont seem to be intent
on punishing students for choosing to study
in the south and will replace these ?grants?,
which cover the annual college registration
fee, with loans.
