In May 2011, the management of the plant Viomijanik? Metaleftik? (Mining), a subsidiary of 
Johnson Filkeram-company production of tiles and building materials, plant leaves without 
pay for several months of unpaid wages workers. In response, the factory workers stopped 
work from September 2011 . Assembly workers held on January 25, 2013 decided, almost 
unanimously, that the plant will be self-managed by workers, without bosses or other 
parasites or mediators. The self-managed factory to open in mid-February 2013. ---- Below

Without pay since May 2011 and without work, their factory had been abandoned by their

it work for themselves. By October 2011, they claim, by an official declaration, the

they developed themselves was first struck in the total indifference of the State and the 
various union bureaucracies. However, he received an enthusiastic welcome from the popular 
movement that created the Solidarity Initiative Open in Thessaloniki and other initiatives 
in many cities, and strives for 6 months to go Viomijanik? Metaleftik? message to the 
whole society.

Viomijanik? Metaleftik? is now! Workers will not wait longer than the failed state shows 
his interest in practical and theoretical support (even 1000 euros extraordinary economic 
support promised by the Ministry of Labour did not arrive until the workers, the Minister

Metaleftik? (Mining) should restart, like any other plant that closed, gone bankrupt or 
dismissing but is managed by its workers, not bosses old and new. The fight has no reason

to all factories and businesses closed, because it is only through a network of 
self-managed factories and occupied Viomijanik? Metaleftik? that will survive and become 
the pioneer of a different organization production and economy, without exploitation, 
without inequalities and without hierarchies. Factories are closing one after the other, 
there are two million unemployed, and the vast majority of society is condemned to poverty 
and misery by a tripartite government, the troika formed by the PASOK (Socialist) ND (New 
Democracy, the conservative party) and DIMAR (the Democratic Left Party), as in previous 
governments. Require that plants pass into the hands of the workers is a logical response 
to the disaster that we live every day, and this is the only possible response to 
unemployment. That is why the struggle Viomijanik? Metaleftik? is also ours. We urge all 
unemployed and all workers, all those who suffer the crisis, to put alongside workers 
Viomijanik? Metaleftik? support and now they begin to demonstrate in practice that workers 
do not need patterns. We urge you to join a caravan of struggle and solidarity will happen 
in Thessaloniki for three days of fighting. We urge you to take part in the struggle and 
to organize the battle wherever you are, via assemblies operating in direct democracy, no 
bureaucrat, to remove all those who destroy our lives by a general strike for political! 
And all plants and all production will be in the hands of workers and we can organize the 
economy and the society we want: a society without bosses! Viomijanik? Metaleftik? is now!
