What drives a person to adopt a vegetarian diet? Aesthetic concern? Health? Discerning 
palate? ---- Obviously every vegetarian carries his individual reason, but what few 
realize is that vegetarianism goes far beyond a food issue. ---- We will talk of 
vegetarianism under a libertarian vision to share the reasons why we adopt this choice. 
---- Being a libertarian is, in principle, to defend the freedom of each individual. We 
are not limited to supporting only the freedom of the human being, since everyone who 
walks on land is provided with feelings. We stand for animal liberation and an end to 
their exploitation by man, since animals are not able to defend themselves without our 
support. Vegetarianism is a way of impacting the industries responsible for such 
exploitation, besides being a healthy and varied diet.


But that's not all. The simple fact is by not eating meat
itself a care for the environment, since the industry
meat accounts for a large portion of the pollution of rivers and
atmosphere, pouring tons of waste and toxic agents
that contribute to the deterioration inclusive layer
ozone.

Furthermore, cattle requires more resources than
cultivation of vegetables, wasting water and cereals.

80% of the soybeans produced in the world is used as livestock feed
for the meat industry, and these plants could be
used to feed starving people, more than half of the water
