(en) Portugal: Setubal Libertarian Conference 5, 6, 7 APRIL 2013 (pt)

The social and political moment we are experiencing, in the Portuguese region and Europe, 
offers us austerity and crisis as overwhelming monsters that which is impossible to escape 
and are impossible to overcome. In fact, just look around and there it is austerity being 
shaken as a solution to both problems, the politicians in power, or as a weapon and 
indignation, left waiting for a hunting votes at the expense of the misery of others. The 
successive rotations in the power chair to last and are there currently in Portugal, we 
are possibly on the verge of yet another change of government. ---- What we do know, from 
years and years of the same story, is that regardless of who sits in the seat of power, 
exploitation, based on fundamental gear this society, is more explicit, more cumbersome 
and more violent.

But we still carry a new world in our hearts and, it seems, the general trend is that more 
protests taking place in the streets and many of them organize themselves spontaneously 
and horizontal.

Therefore, the presence of libertarian ideas and perspectives is of utmost importance in a 
changing world, while contributions to the struggle and violence of this alternative 
system. It is now more urgent than discuss, think and reflect with the stated aim of 
acting, ie, fight and confront exploitation and domination that the economic, social and 
political exercises over all. Similarly, the refusal of the authority as the basis of the 
relationship between human beings among themselves and with the nature of the autonomy and 
direct action as methods and thought, are the ideas that we want to develop and propose.

On days 5, 6 and 7 April 2013, will take place in the Set?bal Libertarian Conference.

Whilst forum for debate and discussion it proposes to deepen issues and reflect on the 
reality that we are experiencing in the Portuguese region. While space for reflection on 
the recent past, or not, can give us answers to problems and questions that allow us to 
face the future. While living space and exchange of experiences she seeks approaching 
people, collectives, groups and projects. While simply conference propose to bring 
together different perspectives and varied libertarian that regardless of the differences, 
they share a rejection of authority as an idea and method.

Thus, the CLS is open and is addressed to all who are in need of a reviewing practice, a 
libertarian ideology and experience. Calls likewise, to participate and meet the diverse 
conversations, discussions and presentations that take place in spaces of Setubal during 
the days that will take place CLS2013.
