The week that followed the announcement of the increase in bus fares in Porto Alegre was 
marked by a popular reaction is unprecedented times. After years of protests against the 
abusive increases that were just small demonstrations of outrage with little or no 
repercussions still of great importance, thankfully things began to take a new shape since 
the beginning of this year. Far from being virtual demonstrations, this reaction is the 
result of hard work of countless comrades, where we have contributed our modest 
contribution. ---- Upon resumption of the constitution Block Fight for Public Transport, 
organizational space that spurred the fights over the last year, but by numerous factors 
that dissolved amid various disputes, the movement achieved a maturity odd to accumulate 
forces in a space organizational plural.

The need for a larger unit, with the establishment, collection and enforcement of 
agreements ensured the permanence Block, streamlining actions and leveraging an important 
unit that developed with road workers in struggle against the bosses and the corrupt 
bureaucracy of their union.

We had important moments along the road workers. Shoulder to shoulder with some garages

organization, the Autonomous Front (FA). Organizing mates / the non-partisan and from /

NO to the increase concentrated in front of the city hall and demanded the reduction of

tried to force some "bombs" are flung ink, reaching the municipal secretary for policy 
coordination and governance, Caesar Busatto. Busatto is the same as when the head of the 
home civil government Yeda (PSDB), was accused of heading the looting of funds from the

Even with the strong repression of the shock, the movement took another resounding show of

police to properly claim the release of detained fellow. It is important to emphasize 
that, as class solidarity that we have developed with / the workers / the road / as,

It's time to reinforce the spirit of occupying the streets below, exerting direct action, 
not intimidating with the repressive action of the brigade and much less with the smear

opinion with the excitement of these means that more than ever, play the role of the

The fight against the increase, therefore, enters its decisive moment. It is important to 
strengthen the organizational spaces Block Fight for Public Transport to coordinate future 
actions, think about the use of different strategies, intensify the groundwork and be 
prepared / the time to respond to the smear campaign and repressive already unleashed 
against our struggle. Probably will try to weaken us with the legalization movement. We 
must be very well organized around the block to turn this game around in our favor. The 
moment is favorable to our struggle and therefore try to criminalize us.

We must respond with struggle and organization, ensuring the block while a broad and 
democratic space, with respect to the most distinguished forces, without rigging and 
forging unity in the struggles. This is how we turn the tables,
defeating the reactionary bloc in the press (which operates as an agent of ideological
