Canada, Emma Goldman Collective* - Press release - Radio-trash: No tolerance for intolerance! (fr)

The Libertarian Communist Union wishes to denounce verbally fear- mongering and hate 
speech radio-bins, as well as its continued SLAPP. We still see the dangerous excesses and 
violent threats of fans of these radios to people associated to boycott them. We call 
social social activists to fight on several fronts right populist demagoguery that 
storefront in several radio stations in the province. ---- Opposite to the phenomenon of 
radio trash militants are currently undergoing a SLAPP hundreds of thousands of dollars 
for exposing advertising, major financiers of these stations. In the name of freedom of 
expression, some promoted facilitators are allowed to conduct smear campaigns threatening 
and harassing people, making public information and personal privacy. Freedom also has 
good back when it comes to fuel prejudice against social groups among the most oppressed 
of our society and justify safe reflexes.

Recently, as a result of the dissemination of personal information, some activists 
prosecuted were targeted by acts of vandalism (including billiard balls in the windows) 
and a forced entry attempt at home. In a relentless campaign of some radio hosts garbage 
in Saguenay, several months ago, members of the Collectif Emma Goldman had been entitled 
to similar treatment. A few days ago, a member has to have again visited by vandals who 
pasted stickers distributed by Radio X on his home. Today, as before, we are not stupid 
and silly about the real perpetrators of these acts - we do not forget, we will not forgive!

At the time of austerity and cuts to social programs deplete less-affluent are the 
workers, the capitalist system and its white-collar criminals are diversion to their 
enrichment "crisis" in populism . It must be remembered: the exacerbation of frustrations 
and scapegoating by this current, essentially reactionary, has historically been the nest 
of fascist and neo-fascist groups. Relying in particular on xenophobia, Islamophobia and a 
nationalist neo-conservatism, populist right-wing parties are now closer to the power in 
some European countries and racist and homophobic killings have marred the last few weeks. 
Do not let the social climate more to rot, it is time to take action!

Speeches hollow of a well-meaning and electioneering left alone will not curb this social 
evil. It is imperative not to abandon themselves victims continued SLAPP and threats. This 
is a call to all the forces of social, libertarian and revolutionary left: an attack 
against a militant or activist is an attack against all. Finally, we also take advantage
