(en) Chile, Given the repression of June 13 (ca,pt)

With growing government repression against social movements, the beating received by our 
colleague Pedro Aguilera, president of the Student Center Manuel Barros Borgo?o Lyceum, 
and the unprecedented invasion of Special Forces Headquarters taken at the University of 
Chile, Santiago FEL section states: ---- ?How many more? ---- Comrades fighting for free 
education and general structural change in the education system, we are now faced with a 
phenomenon that can not continue going up the side of our attention. Current Repression 
living any mobilization, moreover, the student, when faced with the forces of the 
Carabineros no accident and we know, responds to a need to maintain the current state of a 
system which recursively generates inequality.

As part of this repression is a secondary partner of our organization today knocked him to 
death by a group of police and then left on the street during the protest called by the 
CONFECH. This action, if it is repeated and constantly denounced by mobilized actors, has 
not found greater response than testimonial videos, and worse, it carries more than three 
years that vicious cycle of abuse.

As Libertarian Students Front understand we call repression as a tool that has the current 
system to invalidate any process of change, whether from the media, reducing the current 
dispute to a caricature of senseless violence, as from violence same as taught today 
Chilean police in clashes that are generated with the student movement. This sometimes 
causes repression riots, protests and sometimes silences tip bullets, tear gas and 
lumazos, the silences medially characterizing the actions of police as protectors of 
society to vandals, we know we are not.

Must be balanced against this tool, baring its authoritarian and despotic that is capable 
of leaving bodies of comrades massacred stop pain after a traumatic experience. This 
systematic repression must be fought today with a social organization such that adding 
achieve increasingly colleagues in this dispute, build a force able to generate the change 
in education and to protect and defend the dignity and physical integrity of those 
undertake this dispute.
