After more than eleven-week strike at the site of PSA Aulnay (Seine-Saint-Denis), strikers 
stand firm against the direction and continue actions towards other companies.
The strike by the CGT and southern plant, joined by the CFDT, is certainly a minority but 
could hold over time and has 400 to 500 strikers every day. In addition, the general 
meeting is daily source of dynamism and democracy and has on several occasions that the 
decisions and choices of the strike committee are not those of a few individuals or 
political parties, but the employee-es. If the CGT was able to launch several innovative 
tools in terms of communication and media frenzy, it failed to launch a national movement 
on PSA (because it has not actually tried). Finally, a hard strike and led up by the 
internal democracy and punches but with real difficulties to extend the strike actions.

For its part, the management tries to play rotting. Faced with this, the concrete 
solidarity organizing and solidarity fund has maintained a significant share of wages of 
strikers. Hundreds of collections took place in France but also in other countries.

Recourse to law

Several procedures have been initiated in court. For the record, the CGT Faurecia obtained 
after a lawsuit in the summer of 2012 a victory in the court for the suspension of the 
restructuring plan in their business. South PSA was inspired by this precedent, but 
audiences were referred to early April. If the CGT PSA Aulnay, for unexplained reasons, 
refused to join the action of the South, the CGT Metallurgy has also taken legal action, 
but through a different procedure. If the CGT / South trade union unity in Aulnay now 
allows to maintain the strike, it appears some differences, which can be expressed here 
and there without questioning today mobilization unit that is built into the struggle. 
When it comes to break the strike, PSA has imagination: redundancy procedures against 
several strikers, accusations of violence and arbitrary daily pressures via militia cadres 
from all over France, lockout for several days, lower rates of Aulnay for increase in 
Poissy (Yvelines), pseudo-perspective training and support shown by several unions of the 
company (SIA, FO, CGC, CFTC).
