of abusive price of fares of public transport, in solidarity with the struggle that began 
in S?o Paulo and against the mega FIFA (FIFA Confederations Cup and World Cup), Belo 
Horizonte are having as one of cities protagonists. Between 13 and 17 June 2013, was the

thousand people took to the streets in two major events - on Saturday and Monday -

categorically and facing the violent police repression, forming giant spaces occupied by 
crowds of people who do not discuss anything beyond the current state of things in the 
city and in the country.

Amid the great popular uprising that hangs over the country, some fixed points in direct 
contact with the mobilizations should in our view, be thoroughly discussed by tod @ s us. 
We believe that there are major efforts by popular movements, organizations and leftist
political forces that make up the people, our massive mobilizations run the risk of being 
bewildered, braking and co-opted by elements external to the popular struggle that are 
infiltrating your breast.

VIOLENCE: STATE + x FIFA PEOPLE

On the other hand, the use of national symbols and reproduction should be repudiated. A
hymn and a national flag are symbols that represent over 500 years of drama and 
exploitation of people, perpetrated by the elites. The motto that carries the national 
flag, "Order and Progress", is very clear when you think about a need for elites to 
maintain "order" to the people so that there is your "PROGRESS". It is this same sense of 
nationalism and patriot who was used to deceive our people during numerous contexts of 
social conflict, from Vargas and the military dictatorships until the present day. Our 
people has several slogans, flags and symbols of resistance and struggle that are much 
more compatible with the timing of the symbols that represent a history of manipulation
and exploitation. Flags containing hate content "socialist", "communist", "anarchist" or 
"revolutionary", however, sing the banner of "Order and Progress". Thus, silent and 
dangerous, right tries to advance the spread of his speech and forgetfulness of our 
banners of struggle.

There are other issues that are discussed and presented in the very bosom of the

Of course every new day of mobilization, in the current situation, some panoramas change, 
solving some misconceptions and presenting other politicians. It is in this sense that the 
militancy of COMPA movement seeks to operate in Belo Horizonte, whether in meetings, 
assemblies, in the demonstrations, social movements, or in any gaps that exist or are 
emerging mobilization rebel ties.
