Update 2: Lampedusa Protest‏

About 200 mainly eritreen protesters stayed over Night in Front of the church and are determined to continue their struggle to get transferred without fingerprints.
A few Background informations: about 700 refugees and migrants are in the overcrowded, usually closed camp. On last thursday about 500 boatpeople arrived in one Night. All boats come from libya, mainly with East- and subsaharian africans. But yesterday also a boat with Syrians arrived.... And Just the next group of boatpeople came to the port with the coast guard boat...

some more supporters are on the island because of the filmfestival on migration, which started friday with impressive events and good political statements by the progressive maior, local activists and former refugees... And still the public atmosphere seems to be influenced by the visit of the pope two weeks ago...
