The murder of Pavlos Fyssas, Greek fascist activist, recalled the violence of the methods of neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn. It caused an antifascist start in Greece, which owes its massive character to its link with the ongoing strikes and the labor movement. --- Pavlos Fyssas, rapper 34 years under the name of P. Killah, and known for his anti-fascist commitment, was murdered with a knife during a raid of a local militia of the neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, September 16, in the working class suburb of Keratsini, west of Athens. This crime was first presented in the media as a mere "brawl" that would degenerate, which is reminiscent of the media coverage in France for the murder of Clement Meric, refer to the "extreme" back to back. ---- Militias ---- This crime is part of a long series of aggressions Golden Dawn (several of its eighteen members are also prosecuted for violence) against militants or activists of the Greek radical left and especially racist attacks, including numerous killings of migrants and migrants often go unpunished. So far, the violence enjoyed a manifest passivity of the Greek police, largely plagued by the fascists, and the unpopular government of Antonis Samaras, leader of the conservative New Democracy party. Designed to create a climate of social terror, the violence reminiscent methods squadristi the Italian Fascist movement and the Nazi party Sturmabteilung, better known as the Storm Troopers (SA) [ 1 ]. In the Greek daily To Ethnos [ 2 ], a former Golden Dawn member reveals battalions organized assault with complicity in the police. The organization is therefore clearly armed wing primarily targeting immigrant es and opponents and far left [political opponents 3 ]. In response, concrete actions of solidarity and active vigilance have proliferated in the popular neighborhoods for several months, mainly at the initiative of anarchists and anti-fascist movements. Fascism and class struggle This crime occurs in a context of massive strikes against the case of the public, a new stage of "The Shock Doctrine" applied to Greece. The evening of September 18 strikes, there are thousands of strikers who then converged in the antifascist protests across the country in tribute to Pavlos Fyssas. The latter have mostly led to clashes violently repressed with the police. Sign of awareness of union forces on September 17, twenty Greek unions have called for popular mobilization against Golden Dawn, making the link with the anti-capitalist struggle. This new crime has caused not only a shock wave of fascism in Greece, but also rallies throughout Europe. This shows that the magnitude of the anti-fascist start in Greece, is the need to organize a fascist mass movement, articulating fascism and class struggle. Gabriel L. (Paris AL East) [ 1 ] provides an illuminating mentioned by Daniel Guerin in the brown plague, Spartacus Editions, 1996 [ 2 ] A former member of the Golden Dawn testifies on www.courrierinternational.com [ 3 ] The Black Book of Golden Dawn, Dimitris Psarras, Greek journalist, is currently being translated to Syllepse editions.
