Dear friends,
to support the group "Lampedusa in Hamburg", we have written an appeal to 
the Government of Hamburg, which we want to distribute all over Europe and
also to some African activists. We would like to have signatures of people
from different countries and, if possible, at least of some who are a little 
bit famous (like politicians, scientists, artists, church people, trade 
unionists...) and/or members of important organisations. Because the 
situation is very urgent - the refugees are threatened with deportation back 
to Italy or even Africa - we would like to have signatures until next 
Tuesday and we need the following data:

name, profession/function, maybe organisation, city/country

We will not put the text online before we send it to the Mayor of Hamburg.
So we write to mailing lists and to people we know and ask you to answer to 
me:

It would be wonderful if you can also forward this appeal to people you know 
and of whom you think their signature could be important to put pressure on 
the Hamburg Government!

Zu später Stunde hier ein transnationaler Appell für Lampedusa
in Hamburg, der als Offener Brief möglichst bald an Bürgermeister Olaf
Scholz und den Hamburger Senat geschickt werden soll. Dafür sammeln wir in
Deutschland, aber auch in anderen Ländern Unterschriften von "Promis" aus
Politik, Wissenschaft, Kultur, Kirche und Gewerkschaften und fänden gut,
wenn Ihr diesen Appell sowohl unterschreiben als auch
mitsammeln würdet. Wenn irgend möglich, hätten wir Unterschriften gern
bis nächsten Dienstag, und es sollten von Einzelpersonen folgende Infos
benannt werden:

Name, Beruf/Funktion, evtl. Organisation, Stadt/Land

Wir machen keine online-Aktion, sondern einige Leute aus unserem Lampedusa
in Hamburg-UnterstützerInnenkreis schreiben an Personen und Gruppen, die sie
kennen und von denen wir Unterstützung erhoffen.
Wie bitten Euch dringend, uns dabei zu helfen und nicht nur zu
unterschreiben, sondern evtl. auch weitere UnterzeichnerInnen zu suchen.
