Brazil, Anarchist Popular Union (UNIPA): Other Octobers will come! Deepen direct action in the struggle for public education (pt)

The combative protest 07 October marks a new phase of popular struggle. The protest in
support of teachers was a response to the intransigence of the State and Local Government
against the claims of the class. It was also a response to the police crackdown on 01
October. The act and its relation to the dynamics of the category on strike expresses the
development of the popular uprising of June. The action no longer takes on a corporate and
classist because unifies various sectors. ---- But reformist attempt to disqualify the
acts and attempted outlet chamber and attacks against banks and Military Club. Reactivate
the fallacy that the acts of resistance "away" the masses. But what happened? The attempt
of taking the House and the clashes were a response to police brutality from 01 October.
No analysis of the act alone. To say that the police attacked first or reacted, as we have
said, is to misrepresent the analysis.

The great thing is that trying to do an act "performative" when many have not even had
healed the wounds of the aggression of the previous week was the tactic of the reformists.
The sector combative and revolutionary actions carried out and against this guidance. If
there driving errors and shortcomings in action is another debate. But deduce that the
action of resistance is generated demobilization and illegitimacy is to reproduce the
discourse of reaction. The fact is that nothing in this dynamic differs from the popular
uprising of June as the uprising took place against the reformist orientation and governing.

The fact is that on 07 October was another historic day. Not only was the fusion of street
action groups Black Blocs with the strike action, as there was a great act of solidarity
in S?o Paulo. There are limits on the tactics of the Black Bloc? Yes, but its limits are
not in the order that their implementation requires a denial or contradiction with the
participation of the masses, but their level of organizational forms and ideological
development are not yet fully developed. But this does not eliminate the legitimacy of an
action that goes far beyond the Black Bloc. The decision of the House was just the answer,
part of the dynamics of action-reaction. In addition, Black Blocs are only part of a much
larger sector. Acceptance of mass resistance and direct action does not stop growing
between students and workers.

Popular uprising in June were produced from the student struggles and youth, new forms of
struggle and organization. Now these forms of struggle are combining with the union
struggles and make echoes within the categories of educators strike a breakthrough
subjective. Teachers learned by experience the necessity of mass self-defense and are also
confronting the union bureaucracy.

So who defends the popular uprising of June must defend the actions of October. The month
of October is possibly opening a new period of offensive and must nationalize the struggle
for public education, with more demonstrations of solidarity. The task now is to double
the state and local government. And for that you need to step up direct action in the
streets, the forms of action and union with the self-defense tactics and direct action of
the masses. Only in this way are consistent with the defense of the popular uprising in
June and allow other Octobers revolutionaries posed.
