(en) Federa??o Anarquista Ga?cha-FAG - OUR POSITION on the ELECTIONS of the DCE of the UFRGS (pt)

Safeguard the DCE while organizational space. ---- Over the last month the student 
movement of UFRGS comes passing by its traditional electoral process to the Central 
Directory of students, the DCE, this process that goes into his last days with the start 
of the election today, going up the day 21. Given the lack of militancy in the frames of 
UFRGS and greater involvement in a number of other activities, such as the sequence of the 
organisative bodies and block activities of struggles and the work of our Congress, 
initiated in the first few weeks of this month, unfortunately we can't follow up with due 
attention to the present case. Given the HomeStretch and dispute which stirs up right now 
we choose to express our opinion and send our support critical to the 1 Plate, consisting 
of part of the militancy of the block of fights.

We affirm this critical support by understanding that there are a series of bureaucratic 
problems that have developed over the last two managements of DCE and that little has 
worked specifically with a view to overcoming them. Problems such as the lack of a 
methodical work of the basis of the courses at the expense of overestimation of unrest 
around slogans and the centralization of important decisions around chains in the 
composition of the Board majority. Such centralization led to regrettable actions such as 
printing of a sticker against homophobia with a photo of a known militant in a clear 
personalist maneuver aimed at creating a favourable environment to a candidacy. Subtract 
the possibility to accumulate in important matches, such as the fight against homophobia, 
something which in our opinion must be built by d @ s students and not from an individual, 
of a supposed "great leader".

However, despite the problems mentioned, we believe that what is at stake is the defense 
of DCE while an instance of organizational discussions and political dispute within the 
student movement of UFRGS. Despite the clear and profound disagreements around the design 
and method of struggle and organization that we have with the major chains that today 
build the 1 Plate, we believe that it is today the only capable of maintaining, minimally, 
the DCE of the UFRGS as an important organization space, reflection and policy dispute to 
the student movement.

We affirm that "contradiction" to understand that today the central dispute by DCE is 
against two major enemies who were facing along the fights started at the beginning of the 
year in our city. The plates that today, from a game marketeer in luxurious campaign 
materials (knows funded by who), bearing the demagogic calls "the DCE with your face" and 
"our party is the student" are the same people who were actively conspiring against 
fighting driven by the bloc, is sitting with the Mayor for a misleading Fortunati 
negotiation around the demands of a movement which never took part, or even criminalizing 
our militancy repeatedly, showing us how "gangsters in gang Fights block" in its virtual 
spaces.

Such an attitude does not impress us, considering that such groups are today in front of 
the bankrupt unites and UEE, converted in large rave parties, where the debate and policy 
formulation already arrive ready the offices of Ministers and give rise to large parties 
despolitizadas. On the one hand, we have the Liberal Student Freedom Movement, parody the 
MEL, who was ahead of DCE for 3 years ago, converting the entity to the sad role of 
"Office boy" from the rectory and its mercantile projects. Many of these "highly qualified 
leaders" appear publicly in the Millenium Institute spaces, the so-called "liberal 
coterie" which aims to develop the "market economy" as breakthrough of "freedom" and which 
has among its main organizers the grupo Abril (Publisher of Veja magazine), RBS and 
arqui-reacion?rias figures as Arnaldo Jabor and Reinaldo Azevedo.

In spite of the many vices present today inside the DCE, we had this entity contributing 
clearly with the Organization of Fights, bringing his contribution in this important and 
historic mass movement that developed in our city and so influenced other cities across 
the country. That's why, by stopping a space of dialogue and organization of the student 
movement and not allow this to become a big feste depoliticised, with ridiculous "big 
screens to watch the World Cup games", which we express our critical support to the Mate 1.

Finally, we stress that we believe sincerely in the presence of compa?eros s who today, 
within the 1 Plate, share much of the critical balance that we do here and mobilized to 
overcome them, that factor also weighs in our decision by the supporting plate. We hope to 
be together of these companions in the fights that approach as well as promote an 
important buzz around themes linked to education, rethink and endorsing the student 
movement under bureaucratic not bases and hegemonistas, where the groundwork is above the 
phraseology of slogans repeated to exhaustion.
