Saturday, October 19 in Paris was held a rally in the framework of the "European Day against expensive housing, speculation and the right to housing." It was also to denounce the housing policy of the government and to demand the relocation of 300 families. ---- While the rally was filed in the prefecture and those gathered began to leave because of the threatening attitude of the police, they were violently attacked by riot police present. The police went on a rampage and a dozen people were injured, including the spokesman of the association Right to Housing (DAL), Jean-Baptiste Eyraud, which the police have reserved special treatment for him breaking both coasts. ---- Ten people have filed complaints against the police violence which caused interruptions working time ranging from two days to a week in seven activists. Here's how that government treats those who are fighting for the right to housing in this country: it sends its police, largely conquered the far-right ideas, beat up activists. This housing policy of this government and incapable off. Settled into their comfortable bourgeois in their corporate cocoons, and they are certainly not able to grasp the urgency experienced by millions of people across the country on the issue of housing. Duflot the law has been passed is only a crumb sent to solve a famine. The key measure of the law, which supposedly is to regulate rents, does not in reality to frame these higher rents. But they have increased by more than 35% in 10 years and represent an average (including social housing) spends 27% of household incomes. In the private sector is 40% of income! For ten years, the number of expulsions has doubled as the number of homeless, as rents and real estate soared, the insecurity, income poverty and unemployment extend the charges, the energy, transport, health care, and food commodities increase! Yet there are solutions and some are listed in the law! Thus, the laws enforceable right to housing (Dalo) and Solidarity and Urban Renewal (SRU) are not applied by governments anxious above all to preserve the right of speculators while millions of homes are vacant! Libertarian Alternative condemns the repression suffered by activists for the right to housing Saturday, October 19 and expressed his solidarity with them. Libertarian alternative claims requisition empty homes, the expropriation of the speculators and the ban on the purchase of housing if it is not to live. Libertarian Alternative, October 29, 2013
