"Peer-to-equal", two days of lectures, debates, exhibitions, demonstrations and performances in Angers. The goal: create a dynamic and popular public debate, to promote struggles on feminist issues, and sexist antihomophobes. ---- Spurred AL 49, a group of fourteen associations, trade unions and political organizations was formed in Angers in 2011, to organize feminist meetings. This is to promote economic struggles, creating the link between militant activists and their organizations, working some axes control... After two editions in 2011 and 2012, "Peer-to-equal" was held on 22 25 and 26 October in Angers. And as in previous years, the results are very positive in terms of participation, with a diverse audience, a high proportion of young people, and a wide feminization. As for content, this year devoted to inequalities in the workplace, it proved exciting and highly topical (see AL September). Inventory of inequalities The first evening was centered around the film directed by Corinne M?lis and Christophe Cordier, aptly titled On Equal to equal. Some women workers, trade unionists and immigrant experience triple discrimination. As part of postcolonial migration history, they have shaken stereotypes of immigrant women, leaving female roles expected. It is interesting to see that face their isolation, insecurity and exploitation, these women chose the union to change their lives and work. But this film also recalls that within the central labor issues sexism remain valid and must continue to be a work everyday, just as racism within the employers or personal supervisors. The great debate of the second night helped draw an overall picture of inequality between men and women in the workplace. Among the many topics discussed, we may retain the demonstration that inequality irreducible part can not be explained by sex, which fully justifies making feminism a front specific struggle, articulated the class struggle without being reduced, and that women are not the only beneficiaries: feminism changes the entire life! Material and ideological domination The third day was held several roundtables. Whether it is about the sexualization of businesses, the unequal share of domestic work or suffered violence at work, particularly by homosexual women, these debates have helped deconstruct many stereotypes (eg the alleged naturalness of business roles or "male" and "female"). This ideological domination has been linked to many physical dominance of patriarchy, and thus the need for a radical change in society. Festive and spectacular dimension these days has to address sexism on lighter through skits sexist street fashion, or a popular play (Weave and fresh water, the Co. Moutre). Finally, note that several hundred people visited the stands of different organizations, as well as exposure to the Angevin feminism in the twentieth century, created by members of the group[1].
