Brazil, Uni?o Popular Anarquista (UNIPA) - 5 TOWARDS THE CONGRESS! (pt)

"The struggle for global classes and Brazil: building an alternative of class and 
internationalist masses" ---- The Anarchist People's Union (UNIPA) will hold its fifth 
congress in the first quarter of 2014. The Congress which marks the 10th anniversary of 
the organization and political work, takes place in a framework of international and 
national upsurge of the class struggle. This cycle begins in Europe in the mid-2000s, with 
popular rebellion in the suburbs of France, then in Greece in 2008-2009 and the sequence 
in North Africa, Brazil and Asia. In Brazil, all trends point towards the entrance in an 
upward movement of class struggle. ---- In this new scenario anarchism was again placed at 
the center of discussions, due to the direct action of the masses that explodes amid 
uprising. Communism and nationalism / republicanism in its different aspects show its 
contradictions. While reformist force, communism and republicanism / nationalism oscillate 
between treason or systemic property, acting as forces to contain the popular rebellion 
internationally.

Thus, the formula of the various Marxist and nationalist currents have been the defense of 
populist governments and the convening of Constituent Assemblies. The centrality of action 
is directed to building mass movements that serve to support Parties in their mass 
struggle for the state.

Moreover, minority currents of Marxism and revisionism anarchist can not break with the 
logic of the complaint and exaltation of forms of class struggle. Do not have an 
alternative organization, program and strategic able to play the whole working class, nor 
to modify the global correlation of forces in society.

The revolutionary anarchism is a weak force and various organizations and anarchist 
movements in fact embody the anarcho-communist revisionism and become paralyzed or are 
brought to the camp of reaction. Nevertheless, the effort of anarchist groups 
(insurrectionists, anarcho-syndicalists) despite theoretical limitations shows that 
anarchism again has an important expression of pasta. And that is exactly why it is 
possible the international reorganization of anarchism and revolutionary syndicalism, the 
adoption of a correct political line of action is necessary for such a task.

So the V Congress of UNIPA will develop and face the fundamental problem of the current 
situation: the need to build and propose an organizational alternative to the struggling 
masses, locally and internationally. This alternative is a mass organization of 
revolutionary syndicalist type, which can compete for millions of workers and integrate 
them into resistance to capitalism activities and raise your level of consciousness and 
organization.

Today the main task of revolutionary anarchism is to build an alternative that can rival 
the masses in daily life, at work, with the Republican Communist and nationalist / project 
that attempts to renew the legitimacy of parties and bureaucratized unions and channel the 
energies of the masses not to strengthening its own organization, but for building a party 
or party coalition that has a strategic design to conquer the State within the framework 
of capitalism.

The task of the V Congress is to specify and detail the mass line and a construction plan 
for the medium-term historical period. And call upon the sincere help in the construction 
of this alternative UNIPA and mass organization, as part of national and international 
revolutionaries revolutionary task. Today all those who recognize themselves as anarchists 
have a double task: to build the revolutionary organization (platformist type) and the 
mass organization of revolutionary syndicalist type.
