The boycott is an ideological and organizational weapon. The tactic of boycott of 
bourgeois elections is linked to concrete political and ideological struggle is not just 
advertising or complaint, or a choice that is made when the party can not win elections. 
That year, 2014, the boycott of bourgeois elections should express public discontent. 
However, it should be more. Should be part of the preparation of a struggle of the 
exploited and oppressed against the system. ---- Graffiti on the streets of Rio de Janeiro

Year of mega-events, the World Cup, deepening authoritarianism. Year in which the dispute 
within the bourgeois political system between "right and left" means less and less. 
Therefore, a boycott campaign to help develop the experience and independent class 
organization is key.

The UNIPA understands that the organization and direct struggle of workers and workers at 
national and international levels, is the only alternative to the dictatorship of the 
bourgeois class which pretends representative democracy under capitalism. So just as we 
should boycott the bourgeois elections, we must deepen the struggle and the national 
organization and internationally. The historic weapon of the workers is the GENERAL STRIKE 
. We therefore propose the work of propaganda and agitation of the general strike as a 
method of struggle combined with the boycott of bourgeois elections.

Not voting, election boycott, is important. But it is just the negation of the system, the 
refusal. The exploited and the oppressed must also have a positive action, fight for 
economic and political rights. The general strike is the watchword of construction. We do 
not only disclosure of the "Do not Vote!", But the "Fight" shall mean the adherence to a 
method (general strike) and a list of demands. This agenda must be brought to the 
peripheral neighborhoods, factories, fields to create a large protest movement.

Today the main task is to call the campaign of general strike against the World Cup and 
mega events. A protest strike to express the demands of the workers. So the campaign 
COMMITTEES "DO NOT VOTE, FIGHT!" Should be either convene the election boycott as the 
general strike.

The electoral abstention, that increases every bourgeois election is purposely classified 
by the reformists and the right as 'alienated' and unimportant. How not want to give up 
their strategies to reconcile classes, prefer to close their eyes to the reality that 
workers and employees no longer trust in the electoral farce.

But, not only to make them see the truth, but also to succeed in transforming a diffuse 
anger in concrete struggle, we need to organize a boycott from the tactical unit and 
strategic unity, suggesting an alternative to the statist model of organization and of 
bourgeois electoral representation.

Therefore we urge anarchists and revolutionaries of Brazil to build local committees NOT 
VOTE, DO campaign! linked to national political propaganda and agitation, democratically 
decided and implemented under the principle of collective responsibility. This campaign 
aims to make positive and negative tasks listed above.
