We are witnessing the growing success of anti-Semitic discourse. This success reflects an
underlying trend in the French society. ---- In recent years, the projections of the old
anti-Semitic comic Dieudonn? are increasingly heard. While many of those photographed
making dumplings seem to come from the usual clientele of the extreme right (including the
forces of repression), we can also see trade unionists, neighborhood youth, etc.. Sign
that anti-Semitism is assumed, many make this salvation in places that have nothing to do
with Zionism, and everything to do with Jewish history (Memorial deportation, Anne Frank
House, where a school hit Mohammed Merah ...). The resumption of anti-Semitic slogans (
"Jew, France is not yours" , etc..) in the demo "Day of Wrath" is also a sign of this
progress.
The old demon of anti-Semitism
Dieudonn? did not invent anti-Semitism. But this is the first time in decades that it
appears so popular. In the nineteenth century, antisemitism has been a constant political
discourse, even among socialist thinkers. It allowed to merge traditional Judeophobia and
anti-capitalism undigested between national labor and Jewish capital, while giving the
petty bourgeoisie an emissary to his fear of impoverishment goat. Antisemitism therefore
allowed to join the religion, workers and the bourgeoisie in search of an enemy fantasized
while strengthening a national pseudo-community.
Since the lines have moved. The Dreyfus Affair has released a first-Semitism of the
Progressive camp. The defeat of Nazism made inaudible any overtly anti-Semitic speech,
which reminded both the Holocaust and Collaboration. Finally, the creation of Israel in
1948 has changed the vision of the Jews. These are then related to the kibbutz,
colonization, or the Franco-Israeli alliance, while the classic assassins prophet image
loses its importance (although it still has great resonance among the most reactionary
fringe of clergy Muslim or Catholic).
The influence of the Palestinian conflict
Meanwhile, more and more French and French began to take sides in the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict, sometimes on community lines. Thus, Jewish institutions, such as CRIF
(Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France), have adopted a line of
unqualified support for Israeli policy [ 1 ]. At the same time, both sides have made
attempts to internationalize the conflict, including playing on the community dynamics. To
compensate for the imbalance of forces on the Palestinian side, to push more and more Jews
to emigrate to Israel to win the "demographic war" Israeli side. Finally, some political
groups have sought to use the conflict to politicize the French immigrant.
These community identifications were manipulated to create confusion between anti-Semitism
and anti-Zionism [ 2 ]. It is much easier that the difference was not always clear on the
ground (for example, Hamas is both the strength of the most active resistance to the
occupation and a vector part of a project fascist and anti-Semitic society) [ 3 ] and the
French extreme left, very involved in supporting the Palestinian cause, sometimes ignores
the fight against antisemitism.
And today?
This concern is especially the growing popularity that may experience this type of
discourse. She says because in a crisis, part of the population seeking officials. Racism
then aim is to weld the national community around the fight against a scapegoat.
Anti-Semitism is a variant to retrieve an anti-capitalist theme appearing dominant target
(and thus the impasse on both the non-Jewish bourgeoisie as the Jewish proletariat). The
increase in racist speech is consistent with the historical situation. This is why the
government is trying to fight against anti-Semitism while continuing attacks against Roma
and Muslims. It is more disagreement here on the choice of the target as a real racism
(which would require putting forward a credible alternative social).
What would cause the anti-Semitic discourse is reflected in our social camp is that it
perverts progressive notions words fascist orders. We must be especially clear on these
points. Capitalism is a globally integrated allowing exploitation of one class by another
through private ownership of means of production economic system. Antisemitic and
complotistes see it as domination mysterious groups that control the world in the shade
(Illuminati, "Jewish lobby", etc..). At the international level we support those fighting
against oppression in Palestine and elsewhere. Soral and others prefer to support all the
supposed enemies of the New World Order (Putin Assad through Hamas) and supporting
murderers and mini-imperialism. We fight against racism, the end inequalities based on
origin, religion, or nationality. Racist prefer fantasizing about reconciliation in the
shadow of the tricolor against an enemy fantasized (by Jews, Muslims elsewhere).
To fight against anti-Semitism, we must also examine the concepts of national minorities,
communalism, etc.., And the questions they pose from the perspective of self-organization
[ 4 ]. If the libertarian movement has traditionally been rather hostile to communalism,
the development of racism could force us to think back to all this, on behalf of the
necessary self-organization are racialized.

[ 1 ] This support is based on the idea that Israel would be likely the second homeland of
all Jews, and therefore the defense of the interests of Jews from France would pass
through the defense of Israeli interests.
[ 2 ] For as antisemitic by Zionist groups, the latter counting thereby discredit any
criticism of Israeli policy.
[ 3 ] 3. This confusion is present, for example in the text "Why Dieudonn? is a creep",
which ends by Yassin a Zionist fighter.
[ 4 ] 4. What a particular text as the recent "Against anti-Semitism, for self-defense."
