We disclose here a murder occurred in the Zumbi dos Palmares settlement in Campos. 
Disclose two public notes about the murder of Carmen Pereira Gilcilene Paes and his 
daughter. The first note signed by various movements of the field and the second by the 
Youth Ministry Fluminense. ---- PUBLIC NOTE ---- Dear comrades, friends and friends: ---- 
Another murdered woman! We received the sad and shocking news that Gilcilene Paes Carmen 
Pereira, 44, was beaten and murdered in the Settlement Zumbi dos Palmares, in Campos - RJ, 
and her 10 year old daughter kidnapped and still missing on the 15th day May 2014. ---- 
This is the fourth murder in the Zombie in just over a year. In January 2013, Guedes 
Cicero dos Santos, 49, coordinator of the MST, was found dead in fields. In February of 
that year, Pine Regina dos Santos, 56, was murdered in the region. In February this year, 
Carlos Eduardo Francisco Cabral, 41, was found dead in the reedbed. All the victims were 
seated in the Zumbi dos Palmares.

The Settlement Zumbi dos Palmares was the first settlement in the MST region because of 
the expropriation of the farm St John, with approximately 8,500 acres 17 years ago. About 
510 families are settled on the spot. Zombie Gilcilane lived in since the beginning of the 
settlement. She lived and produced in the family plot.

Since our organizations - Movement of Landless Rural Workers - MST, CPT - CPT and Via 
Campesina Brazil, declare ourselves outraged and disgusted by this news that hit one more 
Rural Working Women, violence has been frequent in the region, especially this Settlement. 
We hope that the police and judicial authorities do not measure efforts to find, prosecute 
and punish the killers and responsible for such barbarity.

So too, as once again claim the action researcher and protector of the Brazilian state 
with the families who live in areas of settlements in the area because we can not allow 
the territories of male and female workers are spaces of action of banditry.

NOTE OF CONDEMNATION

Fields of Goytacazes, May 20, 2014

The staff of the Ministry of Rural Youth - PJR Fluminense comes across this note blaming 
the Brazilian federal state in its different representations with respect to the safety 
and maintenance of the full life of citizens, peasants, children and youth in vulnerable 
territories campesinos from the absence of public policies that promote and guarantee 
human dignity and respect for diversity.

A younger, Landless was brutally murdered in northern Rio de Janeiro, city of Goytacazes 
in Rio region characterized by more than 20 settlements, large inventories of land, land 
concentration, rural schools closed and abandoned in January. Isabella was the daughter of 
the rural working class setting, a beautiful young woman who dreamed of a land free of the 
evils of humanity that bind people and how to objectify things, obstacles to be overcome 
before the big project of accumulation and concentration of land in the era of 
neo-developmentism.

The young Isabela was the result of a project of peasant life, struggles, achievements, 
persistence in the classic agrarian reform, which only distributed and regularized the 
land, but not guaranteed rights. However, Isabela dreamed of a school that valued his 
life, to study their history of struggle of the people of the countryside, a world of 
opportunities won by the peasant youth from their struggles through statutes, regulatory 
frameworks, among other achievements.

In time, we announced our pastoral commitment to the cry of the young people of the land 
that Isabela will be remembered by PJR as a sunflower in his strength and never calaremos 
and dream of light that animates the youth.
