(en) France, Alternative Libertaire AL - SNCF: Fold or revolt (fr, pt)

Despite massive government propaganda and misinformation organized by the media, 
railworkers and intermittent-es are still struggling to resist "reforms" and attacks 
briskly by a Socialist Party completely sold to the capitalist system. Workers of the post 
office or hospitals do not bend either at the deterioration of their working conditions 
and "restructuring" in the chain. ---- Since June 10, the railroad strike-es are p our 
demand the withdrawal of the draft Rail Act and the actual opening of discussions on the 
future of the rail sector. Whatever say the government and the direction of the station, 
whose speech is copiously relayed by the national media, there is a strike selfish 
extremists but a movement to stop the destruction scheduled public rail service.

We hear a lot of canceled trains, the user-'re angry or anxious schoolboy-nes-es but 
ultimately very few of the causes of the strike , causes ras-le-bol expressed by 
railworkers undergoing since 1997 the disastrous consequences of the division of the SNCF.

What you pay today and we may pay more in the future, it is indeed the separation of the 
railway into two separate companies: SNCF itself one hand, responsible for "selling train 
"and R?seau Ferr? de France (RFF), in charge of railways. Ultimately, the goal is to allow 
other companies to use the network in competition with SNCF.

Both accounting chicanery and strengthening of rail privatization (whose disastrous 
effects in Britain is known), this division, incomprehensible to the user-es and the 
railroad are accentuates the transformation of the SNCF in a capitalist enterprise . like 
any other, bringing profitability before everything else the consequences are numerous : 
closures of branches, increased tariffs, elimination of trains and stops, not to mention 
the degradation of working conditions ...

A government department bosses

Law that the government wants to make is a step towards privatization and liquidation of 
public service rail. Disguised as "reunification" of the SNCF, the Act provides actually 
break the company into three different institutions (SNCF SNCF Network Mobility SNCF). 
Patterns have never been so well served by Holland and future shareholders are already 
rubbing their hands imagining juicy profits that may generate the privatized rail 
transport ... at least for the lines they keep! The same logic is at work for agreement on 
unemployment insurance: what employers want, the Socialist Party ... and applies the right 
applauded.

To bail out the government has indeed found nothing better than to sink into the still 
precarious always benefits your beneficiaries, including intermittent-es of the show, 
without raising a penny contributions companies. But there again, the resistance is to go 
to prevent the approval of the Un?dic agreement , the case of social rights: street 
actions, occupations, demonstrations, ... the intermittent-es know put their talents to 
the struggle.

What is needed now succeed, it is the meeting of the struggles and the union of rebel-es 
against this unjust and criminal system. It is multiplying and unifying against 
popular-powers that manage to shake the citadels of capital.
