We reproduce below a statement of local Unions CGT West mining area of the Pas de Calais

resist and reverse the party that uses social deprivation, inequality, unemployment, to 
spread its ideals of racism, discrimination, xenophobia, chauvinistic nationalism that 
lead de facto individualism and isolationism.
Yet the president, the first minister, the party leaders who succeed in power for too many 
years, although disowned by this election, do not intend to change this policy of 
austerity imposed by Europe, or impose stringent laws to prevent layoffs.
This means that they accept, on behalf of free and undistorted competition and the 
reduction of debt created by gifts to hundreds of billions given to capitalists, the 
deterioration of social and democratic conditions, and the rise of poverty and 
unemployment which are the fertile soil of the FN and radical right-wing.
We live in a serious democratic and social crisis into a crisis of civilization, this 
requires a radical change in economic, industrial and social ... the situation can not go
