Global mobilization against EI / Daesh - For Koban? - For humanity! -- Day of 
Mobilization: 1 November 2014 ---- The organization EI [Islamist or Daesh State] has 
launched a major military offensive on several fronts against the Kurdish region Koban? in 
northern Syria (Western Kurdistan or Rojava). This is the third attack against EI Koban? 
since March 2014. As their first two offensive failed, they attack this time with much 
more strength and resources, and want to take over the city. ---- In January this year, 
Rojava Kurds have set up a local government system in the form of three autonomous 
cantons. Koban? is one of the three cantons. The Turkish border is north and all other 
sides are surrounded by EI controlled territories.

The EI approached the city limits Koban? using heavy weapons from US manufacturing. 
Hundreds of thousands of civilians are threatened by the worst genocide in modern history. 
The population of Koban? tries to resist with arms against the barbaric terrorist attacks 
of IE, with the sole support of People's Defence Units (YPG) and women (YPJ), but without 
international assistance.

The so-called international coalition against the IE did not provide effective assistance 
to the Kurdish resistance although witness the ongoing genocide against Koban?. They have 
not fulfilled the obligations they have in international law.
Several members of the coalition countries, particularly Turkey, are part of the military 
and financial support for terrorists in Iraq EI and Syria.

If the world wants democracy in the Middle East, it must support the Kurdish resistance 
Koban?. Democratic autonomy of Rojava holds the promise of a free future for all people of 
Syria. In this regard, the "Rojava model" - secular, democratic and non-sectarian - is a 
model that puts into practice the unity and diversity.
