Dear friends,
What an amazing weekend. On Friday, the Supreme Court of the United States decided on a case that will make marriage truly equal nationwide.
Nearly 60 years after the fight for equality began in earnest, people across the country are celebrating. Full marriage equality in one of the world’s most powerful democracies sends an incredible message: everyone must be treated with equality, dignity and respect.
But the fight is far from over. In 75 countries, being gay is still a crime. In 10, it can cost you your life. Around the world, being gay, lesbian, bi or trans can still leave you vulnerable to persecution and violence. So as we celebrate this incredible victory, let’s also look to the future.
After this important victory, what do you think is going to happen next?
b) I'm worried that our movement won't keep up the momentum for other urgent issues.
Can you take our two-question survey? It will only take two minutes!
