Saturday, February 27, the opposing-es at Notre Dames des Landes Airport Project, from
across the country, there will manifest or the work never start! The mobilization is
announced again massive. ---- Alternative Libertaire, a signatory of the call for
mobilization, with the manifest 44. Front anticapitalist . Appointment is given at 10 am
in front of the McDonalds of Vigneux-de-Bretagne, ZI 4 Nations. ---- A list of different
buses and transport to get to the demonstration on 27 was published on the website a few
days ago, it is still relevant. ---- Please also viewed the website of the ZAD , with all
practical information on the course of the day (demo, backhoe bike, Picnic, constructions
...) but also the festive evening!
Call to hold a procession anticapitalist February 27 to ZAD
The event on 27 February against the airport project of Notre-Dame-des-Landes promises a
new show of force. Despite the fierce repression, expulsions court decisions and
statements going into the war pro-airports of all kinds, we are nombreu-x-his victory to
feel closer than ever. The mobilization continues to grow, the study invalidating the
project multiply, the setbacks suffered by the pro-presidential and airports also
approaching. The wind shifted and feels even in the media.
But why such obstinacy of power to defend this project backlog? By pride? By political whim?
Their efforts are not in vain. If the project is still standing, is that it represents
real economic interests! But nothing to do with our interests us, those from
workers-r-se-s and the local population. It's quite another interest behind this airport
project is the economic interests of a few powerful.
The only beneficiaries of this project, it is the shareholders, bankers and executives
Vinci. Since this is the multinational concrete that won the contract in the form of a
Public Private Partnership, tailored to his advantage. Vinci is supposed to build the
airport and administered for 55 years with guaranteed profit margin if required by local
authorities!
The referendum trap
The proposal for a referendum, consultation or rather, could be an opportunity for
"citizenists" and other politicians to make a new media face on the back of the fight. It
is also a way of excluding the most radical component and political struggle. Bury the
leadership of the peasants of PAL, supported by zadistes, which emerged from the backhoe
bike (11/29/15) and the demonstration of Cheviré bridge (01/09/16). While in our struggle
we hold in check the power and one of the most powerful multinational, all the
parliamentary and media device will be required to settle the question for us!
The NDDL Airport project does not meet the needs of the people but the wishes of profits
of the capitalists.
The capitalists are always looking to redeploy capital to ensure the reproduction of
these. Whatever the social and ecological damage. There are some time yet, the Club des
Trente (which includes large employers such as Breton Pinault, Duff, Bolloré, Rouiller
...) reaffirmed the need to build the airport! You surprise me!
The politician-es of right and left are merely serve the interests of the capitalists,
evidenced by gifts to the banks or the latest laws of the PS who serve the employers at
the expense of employees. But this time, popular resistance is stronger!
This is because there is therefore a capitalist project, we call for the establishment of
an anti-capitalist procession in the demonstration on 27 February. A dynamic procession,
festive and popular!
Appointment is given on February 27 at 10am in front of the McDonalds of
Vigneux-de-Bretagne, ZI 4 Nations in Nantes.
DC No airport Notre-Dame-des-Landes
Two trials, a referendum announcement
Tuesday, February 23, 3 PAL 44 farmers went on trial with fairly serious charges (assault
of police with gun (tractor) by destination. They are accused of forcing a barrage of
police, on the return of a locking action. the deliberations will take place on March 7th.
the prosecutor respectively demands for chacuns comrades, 6 months of probation and six
months of license suspension, 5 months of suspended sentence and five months of license
suspension and for the last 4 month suspended sentence and 4-month license suspension.
Lavocate gendarmes request a total of 5 000 almonds, impound fees and guarding tractors,
held on January 11, could be added.
The next day it was the turn of the snail operation of vehicle drivers January 11 on the
ring Nantes. The charged-es, including comrades and sympathizers are AL, draining everyone
of € 200 suspended fines and 6 points from the driving license. The prosecutor had
meanwhile claimed 1,000 euros in fines! The fear of a heavy financial condemnation is
avoided but no release confirms the current criminalization of protest, even for simple
operation snail ....
The event this Saturday will be the more important it also follows the announcement of the
"referendum" on the project proposed by Holland. If this proposal reflects the stagnation
of the total power against the mobilization and inability to restore the ratio e strength
in his favor, it nevertheless constitutes a trap for the fight. The power seeks
undoubtedly to divide the opposition and exclude the most radical fringe of the fight.
Since backhoe bike towards Cop21, the demonstration of Cheviré bridge (01/09/16) and the
actions of blockages that followed, the leadership of the struggle is in the hands of
peasants and PAL zadistes who support them. Propose the referendum (or rather
"consultation" ...) is a good way to put the fight in the hands of "citizenists" and other
parties so-called environmentalists. It is for politicians the perfect opportunity to be a
new media face on the back of the movement. Even beyond the result, which will be no less
crucial to the fight, a referendum would be a way to resolve the issue, not the balance of
power of mobilization, but the institutional and media device. A good way to avoid a clear
victory in the fight, which would have a symbolic and political significance other!

MEDEF ideas engender B'El Khomri-es -- The FN and the right have dreamed, the PS did! ----
The Minister of Labour exploitation will soon defend the ideas of MEDEF in Parliament,
just weeks after the same Parliament, on the initiative of the so-called socialist party
has begun the registration process for the state emergency and deprivation of nationality
in the Constitution under the benevolent encouragement of the FN and the right. The party
continues the methodical breaking of the labor code, which began in 2013 with the ANI law,
then in 2015 with the Macron law: these laws already favored "labor flexibility," repeated
like a mantra by previous rulers and sought to horns and shouts by Gattaz (son of his
father already "boss of bosses" in the 1980s) on all media France. The provisions of the
new project are directly inspired by the MEDEF projects. Judge for yourself!
Work more ... earning less!
The legal workweek will remain 35 hours. But the maximum, which was previously 44 pm for
twelve consecutive weeks, could rise to 46h for sixteen consecutive weeks. In case of
"exceptional circumstances", it could even be up to 60 hours and may not exceed twelve
hours per day. The project also proposes to increase the legal duration of the working day
apprentices at 10, if the boss wants. It will simply notify the medicine. Hello damage on
health and living conditions!
In addition, overtime pay would necessarily increased by 25% (from the 36th) but it could
be at a lower rate (up to a 10% floor) if agreed with the majority unions in the company.
If no agreement with them, the company management could do without getting directly the
agreement of a majority of the employees, organizing a referendum. With everything that
implies pressure and blackmail on these employees to tip the balance on its side, with the
help of HRD and local media.
Head down, shut up, or take the door!
The "maintenance agreements in employment" imposed in 2013 provided that a business
meeting "economic difficulties" could reduce the working hours of an employee - and his
salary in due proportion - or rather the increase - without increase his salary - or
adjust their working time, all on a maximum of five years, provided that an agreement to
this effect was signed by the main trade unions in the company. With the new law, it would
be possible even if the company meets with no difficulty and no time limit. In short, the
good will of the boss! Because, again, management could do without the agreement of the
majority unions in organizing and winning a referendum in the company. And the employee
who refused could be fired for "just cause."
Lay off is when I want, how I want!
Economic conditions permitting termination would be expanded and reduced. Situations
already planned to "technological change" is now in addition to those "reor-ganization
necessary to safeguard the company" or "economic hardship" as "a drop in orders or sales
of several quarters consecutive, compared to the same period of the previous year;
operating losses for several months; significant deterioration in cash, or evidence to
prove these difficulties. " And you can count on the makeup of the accounts to display as
"such elements" whenever the company management deems appropriate.
To lean final settlement!
The icing on the cake offered to patrons, redundancy payments would be capped three months
salary if you have less than two years of service, six months between two and four years,
nine months between five and nine, twelve months to ten in nineteen fifteen months beyond.
That incentive to lay off more often seniors!
And a measure of additional exception!
By prioritizing the company agreement on the branch agreement, giving the possibility to
bypass the unions by atomizing the travailleurEs the referendum organization, the bill
aims to strengthen corporate power. And dictatorial spirit that inspires reflected the
intention already claimed by Valls of the adoption by the special procedure of Article
49-3. Ineffective against unemployment, it is well in line with the establishment of the
state of emergency by a government that governs more than relying on emergency laws and
states.
Suffice to say that it requires a massive and resolute reaction from everyone, victims or
potential victims of this reform on the workplace and on the street.

The families who were being housed in an emergency accommodation facility on 54-55
Mountjoy street and were to be evicted today have been fighting back. Yesterday afternoon
they occupied the DCC offices, demanding that officals talk to them collectively. And this
morning they occupied the buidling they are being evicted from, hanging banners from the
upper floor as a solidarity protest took place below. ---- Yesterday they occupied the
offices of DCC demanding stable accommodation and that DCC negotiate with them
collectively rather than individually. Council officals talked to families but they said
they would only talk if families came in seperately to talk. So families are talking with
officials seperatly but bringing a witness in with them. Then after all have talked all
the families collectively discussed what they will do.
They collectively decided to not accept any of the offers from the council just yet. They
decided to leave DCC to go and talk about it all back in the place they are staying to
talk privately about away from the council. Each family was offered different things, and
all were fairly vague offers.
This morning a protest had been called outside the buildings they were being evicted from.
Shortly after the protest began they occupied the building and hung a banner from the top
floor.

Five years ago we all scratched bits of paper, and a new government was formed. Today, in
2016, with we are five years down the road, and here we are scratching more paper, and
another new government will be formed. It may be different from the last one or it might
be the same, but ultimately the policies will appear to be remarkably similar. To serve
the economy above all others appears to be the top priority for all governments. ---- The
last government broke the country, they took on the banking debt which cost us €67
billion. They new government came in and continued with the policies of austerity to pay
for the debts that we [all of us] got landed with. So we’ve had about a quarter of a
million people leave, in fact the figures for people getting out of here dropped for the
first time in seven years last year, but was still a healthy 35,000 people. Youth
unemployment here is around 30%. The number of children living at the risk of consistent
poverty has doubled in this time. Budgets under this government have only succeeded in
widening the gap between rich and poor.
In Ireland in 2015 the gross income inequality is the highest in the EU, meaning this
republic is a good place for rich people to get richer. In 2013 we had 29 social houses
built in Dublin, at the same time we have 37,000 households that cannot keep up with their
mortgage repayments. We have about 60 houses being repossessed weekly, by the same banks
that we bailed out. This leads to growing numbers of people being made homeless. We have
new taxes, [water, household,] which appear to only go towards servicing debts, as there
is little evidence of investment in public services, as we witness workers like the nurses
asking for additional resources in services. Let’s us not forget the protection that the
vulnerable were afforded with cuts to welfare, the creation of widespread exploitation,
jobbridge/interns, and allowing zero hour contracts to continue.
On issues which directly impact lives, like repeal the 8th amendment, the ending of direct
provision, or acknowledgement of the ethnic status of Travellers have all been ignored.
The marriage equality referendum last year was a fleeting glimpse into people deciding an
issue, which is what democracy is about and we said yes. But it came about due to years of
campaigning and it was not a gift granted by this government.
The other matter which has been a massive achievement has been the long fight against the
water tax. That is a battle which has been fought on the streets, and was a massive show
of strength where communities came together to draw a line, and say ENOUGH to austerity.
These issues, and the fact that Repealing the 8th amendment is on the agenda is all
because people have acted and worked collectively to make this happen in spite of
government, not through government.
In the last two governments, stretching over the last decade, all of the political parties,
• Fine Gael
• Fíanna Fail
• Labour
• Green Party
Sinn Fein is in government right now in Northern Ireland. The policy of the whomever is in
power, and I use that term very loosely, appears to be like their predecessors. It is a
policy of maintaining the status quo. Keep paying your taxes, keep privatising services,
keep paying back the debts, and carry on caring for the precious economy. But maintaining
the status quo is an active policy of war on all the people who suffer under the present
system.
The nature of this circus means that we get bogged down in local and national issues. Enda
Kenny declared that Ireland, in our ‘recovery’ from the crisis that climate change was not
a priority. In January storms and flood damage which left swathes of the midlands
devastated and under water hit. In the small mind of the leader, these issues are not
correlated. The inability of the present system to deal with macro problems like climate
change is illustrative of the need for change. Today’s election is like changing the
colours of the deck chairs on the ship, but leaves us still on a vessel that is sinking.
Scratch the paper anyway you want, I know I did. Unfortunately democracy has been denuded
and stripped down to this act once every five years. But do not let that be your only
political act for the next five. We have collectively arrived to a time where the stakes
are too high for us, for the planet, for our future. The change will come from the streets
and not from counting paper.

On the 18th of February, 13 families who were being housed in an emergency accommodation
facility on 54-55 Mountjoy street were handed an eviction notice, ending their tenancy in
just 8 days time. ---- The stated reason for the eviction was an increase in the
property’s rent, which DCC claim they will be unable to supply. As the residents are in
emergency accommodation, they do not receive protection under the tenants’ rights law.
---- The media constantly refer to families ‘losing their homes’ as if they had dropped
out of their back pockets on the way back from the shops. Homes are not lost, they are
taken and the reason they are taken is so that those who already have a huge amount of
wealth can have more. Dublin is full of vacant properties that could be used as homes but
are kept vacant by their owners.
At least 6 of the families residing in the facility have young children, many of whom are
attending local schools in the area. These children are now facing a traumatic removal
from a safe and stable environment, continued precarious living arrangements and a
disruption to their education.
According to recent figures from Focus Ireland, 134 families became homeless in Dublin in
January alone. The last 12 months have seen a 148% increase in families becoming homeless
The date given was the 26th of February, which coincides with the upcoming general election.
Thus far, negotiations with DCC have failed to result in suitable arrangements being
provided for all 13 families. In response to this, the families’ are organising a protest
against the treatment, which they have received, due to take place on Friday 26th February
at 11am outside the facility on Mountjoy Street.
They have issued the following demands:
“1) We are allowed to stay in 54-55 Mountjoy or are properly and securely housed with full
tenants rights in alternative accommodation, suitable for children.
2) That DCC and management go into talks with us collectively as a campaign.
3) All people are granted adequate and protected housing rights, tenancy protection and
the safety of a home.”
A rally in support of the 13 families will take place tomorrow at 11:00 at 54-55 Mountjoy
Street
