The 5th annual march for Choice takes place September 24 and once more we are bringing
together an anarchist bloc for the march, which is organised by the Abortion RIghts
Campaign. ---- It's going to be an important march as the governement are desperately
trying to delay calling a referendum to Repeal the 8th Referendum and a huge turnout will
help to force them to abandon their delaying tactics. And with Repeal even being raised by
Rose of Traless contestants (to RTE's horror) there is a real mood of urgency for change
that must be expressed on the streets. We can't wait when 12 people a day are forced to
travel to access abortion and more use pills at home under the theoretical threat of a 14
year jail term. ---- We will be meeting up at the march start point at 1.30 at Parnell SQ,
just look out for the Red & Black flags. If you are on Facebook join our Anarchists on
the 2016 March for Choice event and help us build by asking your friends.

This is not irony but for everyday working conditions entypodianomis companies in Ioannina
but also throughout Greece. - The bosses of these companies as in any workplace trying to
make as much profit is made from our work. - This succeed by employees as the most
inexpensive and productive as possible. - The wages in the jobs they moved between 2 and 3
per hour while distributors walkable from 6 to 8 hours under high temperatures without
being provided the basics like water and breaks. ---- On external distributions, the hours
needed for traveling are not considered work, thus timetables to reach the 10-hour and
12-hour. Mostly workers in these companies are uninsured while you are insured, the
contracts will be one day so as not entitled neither permits nor gifts. Also very common
is secured half hours of work, while the other is black. If an employee asks his boss when
it works, the answer to which will get is "I'll tell you." Thereby succeed rotate workers
in each distribution in order to have a disposable workforce that does not have time to claim.
The favorite phrase of bosses of small and large are "become more productive."
"Productive" means to walk endlessly below 50 degrees, loaded with a bunch of brochures
and do not complain when you're tired. The other will control each time by a supervisor or
a big brother, so do not get you in mind and weary lounging on Kana 5 minute. After all
this it is no wonder if someone entypodianomeas suffered sunstroke, heat stroke or fainting.
Obviously bosses have found governments and the state they want, which provide the
appropriate loophole in the law so they seem to adhere to. For towering wall against the
brutality of the bosses and the working condition imposed on us, the workers should create
nuclei of resistance and challenge in every workplace. The working conditions and labor
laws will not be changed either by themselves or by right-wing or left-wing governments,
but only with the struggles of the oppressed.
We claim:
* INSURANCE FOR ALL WORKERS WITH CONTRACTS Indefinite
* THE HOURS OF MATAFORON BE CONSIDERED WORKING
* Obligatory that breaks AND FREE WATER SUPPLY AND JUICE
* Stamps Handle AS arduous and unhealthy
* STOP WORKING WHEN THE TEMPERATURES EXCEEDING 35 DEGREES

For full report with working links and pictures, check original at
http://avtonom.org/node/32772 ---- Between 1st and 10th of July, international days of
solidarity for political prisoners of Putin's police state took place in 21 cities of 10
different countries. Although state pressure is growing, new delirious «anti-terrorist»
laws are passed instead of improving life of citizens, activists of Moscow Anarchist Black
Cross, Autonomous Action and other anarchist and anti-fascist initiatives organized a wide
international campaign to defend our comrades imprisoned in Putin's gallows. ---- Israel:
A picket at the Russian embassy ---- International campaign of solidarity for Russian
anarchists and antifascists started from Israel. 1st of July 2016 in Tel Aviv anarchists
from "Unity"-movement organized a solidarity action.
Anarchists picketed Russian embassy in Tel Aviv in solidarity with
imprisoned anarchists and anti-fascists.
"Friends, remember, one day every prison has fallen and every empire has
collapsed. For those in freedom, we remind: Do not give up! Do! Keep up
the fire! Take the fire from those who have lost their freedom, and
carry it further, to victory of the social revolution!"
Finland: a solidarity picket for Russian political prisoners
After Tel-Aviv, Helsinki joined the solidarity campaign. A picket was
organized at the center of the city Friday 1st of July. Next to the main
railway station around ten anarchists banners "Freedom to Crimean
prisoners" (Vapaus Krimin vangeille) and "Freedom for all political
prisoners". Few hundred leaflets which explained point of the action
were spread.
Spain: A banner drop next to a squat
In Friday 1st of June 2016, next to occupied and self-governed social
center "Kasika", a big banner was hanged in order to bring attention to
situation of anarchists and anti-fascists arrested in Russia.
Next to banner, leaflets with information about Russian
non-authoritarian left-wing political prisoners was spread. More than
thousand leaflets were distributed, passers-by were interested about the
situation in Russia.
Czech republic: Picket at the Russian embassy
7th of July anarchists and people who are not indifferent to repressions
in Russia, met in front of the Russian embassy. Already two hours in
prior to action, embassy was fenced with 25 police officers, and
eventually number of police only grew. With cameras, caps,
plain-clothes, boots, gloomy faces — a big selection.
Few dozen people came to shout at the embassy, and a solidarity message
from Russian anarchists was read:
"We keep organizing in difficult conditions, under heavy and constant
police repressions and unprecedented tightening of the legislation. Any
kind of activities are becoming more and more difficult, but we are
committed to continue our cause, our struggle for a social revolution
and libertarian communism! Long live international solidarity! Death to
the state! Freedom is born where the government dies!"
Police began immediately to behave aggressively, checking documents from
those who carried a banner or who were in the front. Russian embassy was
shaken with shouts such as "Our weapon is solidarity", "A desire for
freedom is stronger than any prison!". After meeting, there was an event
in Stromovka park, where people could enjoy vegan barbecue and support
local and Russian anarchist movements with donations and a distro.
Sweden: In Malmö activists made a banner drop, and in Borlänge festival
artists hanged big portraits of Alexey Gaskarov and Alexey Sutuga
In Malmö, two banners were dropped from the opposite side of the main
railway station, with texts Destroy police state and Free Putin's
prisoners. In a festival in Borlänge, several modern artista made works
in which Alexey Gaskarov and Alexey Sutuga were pictured, participators
of the festival were also informed about political repressions against
antifascists and anarchists in Putin's Russia
France: Banners in Lyon
As a response to solidarity call by ABC-Moscow, a group of anarchists
dropped big banners in various places of Lyon. These actions show that
anarchists of Lyon support anarchist and antifascist comrades which are
behind bars in Russia.
"Our comrades in Russia are in a difficult situation. State repressions
often fall on anti-fascists and anarchists, more often that on moderate
human rights activists. Many of our comrades are located in prisoners
and camps of special discipline. Some of are about to be sentenced on
basis of protests which they did not even participated.
When we hanged banners in Lyon, we wanted to say that we support you,
and we think about you and we want you to be released as soon as
posible. To inform a maximum amount of people about problem of political
prisoners in Russia, we hanged big banners at the stadion 'Stade des
Lumières'"
Belarus: A banner at highway M-1
Anarchists from the city of Baranovichi dropped a banner with text
«Freedom to anarchist and anti-fascist political prisoners» in highway
M-1 from Brest to Moscow. This banner was dedicated to international
days of action for Russian imprisoned anarchists and antifascists, and
also to support arrested comrades from Brest, Ivantsevich and Minsk of
Belarus. It was also dedicated to other activists from different
countries which are currently imprisoned.
By repressing anti-fascists and non-authoritarian left activists,
Belarus and Russia show that they are real dictatorships. Fearing
peoples anger, they are ready to imprison, maim and even murder innocent
people, whose only crime is to hope for a change. But besides all the
attempts of the repressive machine, cause and struggle for a free
society is alive.
Ukraine: banners and graffiti in Kiev, Lutsk, Lvov, Chernigov, Kharkiv
and Dnepropetrovsk
5th of July activists of "Black Dawn" hanged a banner, dedicated to day
of solidarity with political prisoners, in Dnepropetrovsk. 7th of July
in Kharkiv, a banner dedicated to Kolchenko, Sutuga, Romanov, Buchenkov,
Gaskarov and other repressed activists was hanged in opposite side of
the Russian consulate.
9th of July 2016 in Kiev, as a part of the international campaign,
activists hanged banner «freedom to political prisoners» next to the
embassy of Russian in Ukraine. In Lutsk and Chernigov graffiti was
painted in solidarity with imprisoned antifascists and anarchists in
Russia and Belarus: Alexander Kolchenko, Alexey Sutuga, Dmitry
Buchenkov, Ilya Romanov, Alexey Gaskarov and Dmitry Polienko.
In Lvov, activists threw paint to ATM machine and spoiled front window
of the Sberbank.
Moscow: a benefit concert, graffiti and lecture on surviving police
6th of July there was a concert to support political prisoners, poets
Pavel Nikulin, Lyuba Pravda, Nikita Yerin, Boris Bulgakov and Artem
Kamardin performed. Black Kassidy and Agura Sisters played music, and
those willing could write letters of support to political prisoners at a
special table in the event.
7th of July in club "Plan B" of Moscow, with support of OVD-Info,
Alexandr Litoy, Polina Nemirovskaya, Sergey Sharov-Delon and others
lectured how to deal with police.
Also, between 1st and 10th of July graffiti with and without stencils
was made in support of the political prisoners, in territory of various
Moscow institutions of higher education, in which lots of students and
teaching stuff are passing by.
Nizhni Novgorod: Pickets and benefit concert in support of Dmitry
Buchenkov and other political prisoners
In Nizhni Novgorod there were several events. During each of the first 6
days of July, there were pickets in main pedestrian zone of the city,
Bolshoy Pokrovskoy street. 2nd of July there was a benefit concert to
support imprisoned Russian anarchists. A special information stall was
made to spread information about imprisoned anarchist Dmitry Buchenkov.
Activists from "Autonomous resistance", socialists from RSD and
activists of Political Red Cross of Nizhni Novgorod took part to
solidarity actions.
Saint Petersburg: Pickets of left-wing feminists, concerts, movie
screenings and ABC Meetings
8th of July, in a framework of solidarity with political prisoners,
there were one-person pickets in several places of the city. One of
these places was memorial for the victims of political repressions at
Voskresenskiy embankment, next to infamous Kresty prison. Action was
organized by left-wing feminists. "Making a reference to Soviet
dissident movement, activists wanted to underline, that no matter the
collapse of the discredited USSSR regime, repressions have not ceased.
This is proven by the fact how actual are the lines of the authors of
the past epoch". Besides the pickets, there was a concert, several
meetings and movie screenings organized by Anarchist Black Cross, where
donations for prisoners were collected and solidarity letters were sent.
Crimea: A picket in Simferopol next to FSB and prosecutor's office
2nd of July there was a picket in Simferopol next to FSB administration
and prosecutors office of Crimea. Although an announcement of the
pickets was sent in prior to office of the head of Crimean republic and
Crimean council of ministers. Authorities did not allow the protest.
Eventually in the police was waiting for the picketers.
When anti-fascists began to raise placates, police approached and
claimed that they do not anything about permission to picket. Activists
went on anyway, and raised placates next to offices of FSB in Russian
and Crimea.
After 20 minutes of discussions with the police, it was decided to
change location and to go to the second place which was announced,
prosecutors office of Crimea.
On his way home from the picket, Alexey Shestakovich who organized the
action was arrested, together with Ivan Molotov. Shestakovich was
charged with misdemeanor charges of violating order of public meetings.
2nd of August Shestakovich was slapped with the maximum sentence of a
fine fo 20 000 rubles, that is around 270 euros. According to
Shestakovich, in Sevastopol pressure from protest group has managed to
gain civil liberties, but in Simferopol court system is a kangaroo
court, there is no any separation of powers whatsoever and protest
activities are very difficult.
and watch video
Ivanovo: solidarity pickets
1st of July, Ivanov section of the Left Block organised a picket of
solidarity to political prisoners. Not many gathered to local Hyde park,
but passers by paid attention to placates.
Main task was to send a message of importance of support of political
prisoners to people who passed by in cars and public transport and also
to show how unjust the current regime is. Freedom to political prisoners!
Chelyabinsk: a flying picket in park
In Chelyabinsk, a solidarity action was organised for our comrades,
imprisoned by regime and accused with trumped-up charges. Action took
place in Culture park, where many people are hanging around during weekend.
This is a difficult time for all of us, when the regime attempts to
maintain face of legality, fabricating most absurd criminal charges
against everyone who disagrees. It is more important than ever to
understand, that those who became victims of the system are not
forgotten, and their cause is alive. Solidarity is stronger than any prison!
Kaliningrad: Activist prepared and hanged a number of banners to busiest
streets of the city.
Pictures
Derry, Ireland: Bannerdrop in Free Derry Corner
Anarchists in Derry took part in a series of solidarity actions in a
show of international support and solidarity with anarchists and
antifascists imprisoned in Russia.
In Derry's Bogside area at Free Derry Corner, local anarchists took part
in a banner drop as part of this intenational call to support of our
Russian anarchist and anti-fascist comrades in a gesture of
international solidarity and to add our voice to call for their
immediate release.
Long live anarchy!
Ainrialachas abú!
During days international days of solidarity, plenty of people from most
different countries and cities supported our campaign and our comrades
in prison. All of this makes our will to struggle even stronger, and
gives power to our political prisoners to further fight for their rights
and freedom.
We would like to appeal all anarchists and antifascists. As this is a
difficult time, it is more important than ever to help our friends and
comrades behind bars. We know, that they are being constantly
humiliated, but they do not give up. We should never abandon our
prisoners, instead of it we should give three or ten times more support.
We also have to understand, that our solidarity should not be limited to
framework of separate days or campaigns, our support should be constant.
If you want to support political prisoner, you may organize various
events, concerts, fundraising, and you may support Anarchist Black Cross
in its struggle, make donation to fund of the ABC. Prisoners will
receive all of your support.
Long live international solidarity! Freedom to all political prisoners!
Financial support is needed for our comrades in prisons. ABC Moscow is
raising funds for solidarity. If you have any questions or propositions,
please write to abc-msk@riseup.net. This is also they paypal account of
the group.

IWGB Couriers And Logistics Branch to UberEats: Reinstate Imran
Please help by signing this petition to support Imran - and share it with your friends!
UBER-EATS: Stop victimising your workers - reinstate Imran Siddiqui now!
LONDON: Uber-Eats is a household name but the exploitative, sweatshop underbelly of the
app-based service is now coming to light. Uber-Eats is ruthless, cut-throat, and
victimises its workers for speaking out about maltreatment.
Following the recent cuts to promotional offers that attracted many couriers to work for
UBER-EATS, drivers are now seeing drastic reductions in their wages, with many averaging
below the national minimum wage even before the costs and expenses incurred on the job.
Uber-Eats has blamed the workers themselves for their low-earnings, shirking the idea that
rock-bottom rates has anything to do with it. Uber-Eats exploits a legal loophole by
employing their couriers as independent contractors so they can dodge minimum wage
requirements as well as divest their workers of a string employment protections including
protection from unfair dismissal.
Uber-Eats couriers went on all-out strike against poverty-wages on Friday 28 August 2016
and are promising no end to protest actions until Uber-Eats agrees to pay the London
Living Wage for the hours they are available for work.
Rather than seeking to resolve the issue, Uber-Eats decided to ‘deactivate' a.k.a. sack
Imran Siddiqui, a lead activist in the Living Wage campaign, without any notification or
cause. Imran invested in his motorbike, clothing, mobile data plan and insurance to be
able to work for Uber-Eats, only to be dismissed for exercising his right to protest.
This stroke of retaliatory victimisation has backfired and the public is getting behind
Imran to demand Uber-Eats formally apologise and immediately reinstate him.
Following that, we are calling for Uber-Eats clean up the mess they have made and pay the
London Living Wage to their couriers.
UBER-EATS: REINSTATE IMRAN SIDDIQUI IMMEDIATELY AND PAY THE LONDON LIVING WAGE NOW!

We're at a protest in Dublin called by Rojava Calling to show solidarity with the
progressive forces in Rojava against Turkish state & ISIS. ---- Recently Turkish tanks
crossed the Syrian border to supposedly attack ISIS. For the last couple of years Turkish
troops and ISIS militants have been exchanging hand waves across the border as month by
month hundreds of ISIS recruits have been allowed to cross it. ---- What changed? Over the
last weeks the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) fought street to street though the town of
Manbij, just south of Jarablus. Eventually they forced ISIS out and started to advance
towards Jarablus, these advances in effect closing the ISIS supply route across the
border. Turkey really didn’t want the SDF which includes the Kurdish YPG and YPJ to
capture Jarablus, hence this last minute invasion.
The battle against ISIS for Manbij went on for weeks as SDF forces had to fight house by
house, taking casualties from IEDs and snipers all the way. The ‘battle’ for Jarablus
began 10 hours ago and has already been declared over. The ‘combatants’ appear to be more
worried about snapping a good selfie - while standing out in the open - then staying out
of the sight lines of hidden snipers or fearing IEDs or mortars.
Meanwhile U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden just happens to be visiting Ankara, the capital of
Turkey, today. Biden said at a press conference that the SDF ”must move back across the
Euphrates River." and that if they do not ”they cannot — will not — under any circumstance
get American support."
The US has been providing limited military support to what is now the SDF for about 18
months, basically because there were no other ground forces in Syria that were capable of
engaging and defeating ISIS. There is nothing particularly shocking that they are now
betraying them, the vision of an egalitarian, democratic society that places women’s
liberation and environmentalism as central goals is hardly the program of US imperialism.
A state-less society organised through community assemblies and workers co-ops is rather a
long way from the US vision for the middle east. The question now is how deep and bloody
will this betrayal be.
The one aspect that is a little breathtaking is the shortsightedness of US imperialism in
apparently treating this handover of Jarablus from ISIS to Turkey as indicating a genuine
transformation of the policies of the Turkish state.
We are reminded of the story of the scorpion that convinces a frog to carry it across a
river only to sting the frog, and doom them both midway across because such betrayals are
inevitable to its nature. There is an older version of that tale in which its a turtle
rather than a frog that is doing the carrying. That one is from the region, its Persian,
and in it the scorpion fails to sting the turtle through its shell and the turtle then
drowns the scorpion.

Sarah Katz and Pierre Stambul, activists of the Solidarity French movement with the
Palestinian people, return of eighteen days in Gaza. They give us their views on the
situation of the enclave and the complexity of the Gazan society. ---- Are there any other
place in the world that lives this situation? The answer is no. In Gaza, for 10 years, 2
million people are subject to a ruthless blockade. More than half of the population is
young. They and are often highly educated-es (the territory six universities and 100,000
students). Through social networks, they and they know the outside world. Except, no
output is possible in this tiny territory (40 km out of 10). For cons, the population has
experienced three particularly deadly destruction in six years. In all these bombings, the
occupant is hard against the civilian population, but it has methodically destroyed the
productive apparatus: factories and workshops powder, electrical and central processing of
rendered unusable water, agricultural land and greenhouses smashed by tanks , territory
adjacent to the "security barrier" uninhabitable with sustainable population exodus.
The cliché of the people terrorized or terrorist
In the context of an explicit policy of the Israeli occupation to separate sealed Gaza to
the West Bank earlier policy to the Hamas takeover of Gaza, it has been classified by the
"international community" (Israel, Europe , United States, Egypt ...) as a "terrorist
organization". In 18 days of presence in Gaza, we did never felt es unsafe or because of
Hamas, nor because of mysterious Salafists nobody talks in Gaza (if they ever existed in
an organized way).
The population is collectively punished under the pretext of punishing a party. The latter
came to power after elections, admittedly old, but free. It is massively criticized fairly
or hated in Gaza, and those who say worse things against him have no restraint to express
it openly. This rejection is like one who speaks against the Palestinian Authority in the
West Bank. Palestine has no state but it has two rival governments whose priority is more
to keep their power rather than to unify the Palestinian people against the occupier. The
Palestinian Authority has repeatedly shown that it is more concerned about the fall of
Hamas rather than the end of the blockade. And Hamas has built around its government a
patronage operation and a parallel society whose essential purpose is to preserve power,
or to make Gaza the embryo of a future Islamic state. We heard in each camp the worst
accusations against each other: Fatah accused to levy exorbitant taxes on fuel needed for
the power plant (from which only six to eight hours of electricity a day) and do not pay
some officials. And Hamas accused to take advantage of traffic and various taxes, the
underground economy, tunnels still active and a clientelistic recruitment of "security
forces".
The public and other political parties live very poorly this division and have no fear of
expressing it. People also show overwhelming anger against the outside world that
participates in the blockade and did nothing to prevent three wars with killings and
massive destruction. The "international community" has uncritically accepted that murdered
with impunity thousands of civil-es under false pretenses. It accepts that a blockade is
extended to information.
In 18 days, we collected a very significant amount of evidence that the international
media should have collected if they were there. We can only repeat that Gaza is not a
world of terrorists. This is a normal company in a completely abnormal situation (the
blockade). It is a politically very diverse, very supportive, very friendly, socially
stratified (with its rich and very poor), whose resilience and resilience is attacked
every day.
The stereotype of the heroic resistance
Of course, despite all the criticism and divisions, almost all of the population has
supported or participated in the armed resistance during the Israeli invasion of 2014. The
photos of those who fell in battle are ubiquitous. The remarks against the occupier (and
younger are distinguished more Jewish and Israeli) point cruelty and total disregard for
the lives and dignity of Palestinians and Palestinian. But it would be totally stupid
generalizations with phrases like "the Palestinians believe that ...". On all matters
(armed resistance or nonviolent, state / two-states living or not with the Jews, hope in
the international community, interpretation of the Koran ...), opinions are very different
and are expressed without dissimulation. Overall, we feel a population weary, tired, not
far from a break which is not done through family solidarity, civil society which
overcomes the lack of a large number of public services and hope that one day it will get
better.
A party like the Islamic Jihad (respected for his honesty) still advocates armed
resistance until the liberation of Palestine. But what we mostly hear is very different.
There is harsh criticism against the rocket launchers or against the release of Hamas who
expressed support for the attack in Tel Aviv. Some who have a long history of strong,
fighter, exile and / or prisoner we say: "The world is bad. If we are offered, even a rump
state, we will be forced to accept. "People who have shared their experience of the Nakba
(the ethnic cleansing of 1948 with the crimes of the future army of Israel and cruelties)
or that of their parents, also said that the best time of their existence was period in
which they could work in Israel, earning money, and move freely. For younger children, the
desire to leave at all costs, temporarily or permanently, is very strong. Gazans are found
among migrants and migrants who attempt the great crossing.
The role of civil society
Without civil society, Gaza would have collapsed. The company survives on countless small
associations that give people a purpose and a reason to live. Here are some examples.
Compulsory education does not concern the young. While all are created kindergartens or
most successful projects for children of all ages. In the town of Deir al-Balah, central
Nawa employs 32 animators to take care of 500 children. All activities are available:
playgrounds, library, art ... For the financing, Nawa is an exception: most centers only
work with volunteerism.
In hospitals, patients as caregivers, live permanently stress. So the only employee at
Shifa Hospital psychologist has called on Facebook. It had 1000 responses, she selected 26
people per contest. They graduate and are es (in psychology), unemployment, and pay for
work (transportation, uniforms ...). They provide a public service mission: psychological
help. Why do they do it? In solidarity, to gain experience and to be able to APPLY is
employed, when there will be one. Because 90% of graduates are unable to find work at the
end of their studies. They are found in the help to the poor (there are very poor areas
and even Bedouin shantytowns in the Gaza Strip) or who have no generator when there is no
electricity.
In this civil society, there are also traditional society. The mukhtars, kinds of
justices, are the claims of rural redevelopment on land, water shortage and
reconstruction. Visible everywhere, this advance intermittently since the occupant crashes
ever arrival of materials (cement, rebar ...), leaving much of the bombed in makeshift
shelters (tents, Algeco).
And then there are big associations that manage to receive international aid. Let us
mention two, related to the time of their creation to the Palestinian left (PFLP) are PCHR
(Palestinian Centre for Human Rights) and UAWC (Union of Agricultural Workers Committees).
The first methodically identifies all human rights violations committed by the occupying
forces, but also by the two rival governments.
UAWC impulse development based on the rapid reconstruction of what was destroyed,
environmentally sustainable innovative cultures, independent productions and development
of small cooperatives.
Political parties and religion
We met almost all political parties. Everywhere we presented es (French solidarity
movement, BDS, UJFP ...) the reception was very friendly. Many expressed some surprise
(Jewish? Atheist?) To remind finally before the occupation, everyone lived together.
The Palestinian left is broken and although she managed to unite, it would remain a
minority. The PFLP has particularly suffered repression: murder or life imprisonment for
his last two leaders. It has in its ranks of women who participated in the armed struggle
and are highly respected today. It remains faithful to the historical position of the PLO:
a single state in Palestine where Muslims, Christians, Jews and non-believers have the
same rights. He condemned Oslo early on, but his opponents accuse him of having taken
advantage: its thousands of exiles were able to return to Palestine and the PFLP MPs.
Despite the prestige he enjoys, his influence declined.
We met with the directions of several left parties members of the PLO, pro Oslo and the
two-state solution. These are the PPP (Communist Party), IFAD (Palestinian Democratic
Union) and the Popular Front of struggle. All are extremely critical against the Hamas
government.
Islamic Jihad is a party to share, a supporter of the armed struggle. He explained that
international law as Islamic law legitimize the struggle until the liberation of Palestine.
Fatah is not illegal in Gaza, but its activities are monitored. Since the big event of
2012 on the occasion of his birthday, he no longer has the right to organize parades. We
got to see two of its officers and leaders. One, sincere, developed the idea of a
historical legitimacy. But she did not answer when we raised the issue of corruption,
which largely explains the electoral defeat of Fatah in 2006. The other is embodied in our
eyes the perfect prototype of the bureaucrat and waffling.
With a little time, we probably would have met the Speaker of Parliament. We were received
within the Parliament by two members of Hamas. friendly as they have largely developed
their theses: the complicity of the Palestinian Authority and Egypt with the occupier, the
fact that Fatah embodies a form of capitulation. It was there, in 2014, an attempt at
national unity government. This is probably one reason for the Israeli attack. It seems
that strong of his role in the armed resistance, Hamas has increased its demands and the
government was expelled from Gaza. When asked about the death penalty, both Hamas MPs
swore that she was no longer applied. The next day, three convicted criminals were executed.
Everyone is practicing Muslim in Gaza except Marxists and Christians. This Islam that we
see and hear everywhere (we were still in Gaza at the beginning of Ramadan) is also very
diverse, and Islam are minimal policy takes place. We have heard many times a point of
view which is significantly: "We have always lived with Christians and Jews, is in the
Koran. "" The problem is not the Jews, it is the occupation ... "" I prefer that Mecca was
destroyed stone by stone rather you kill a man. "Our partners and interlocutors have
developed a universalist viewpoint of Islam and we easily found between Muslims and
atheists, not only the current passed, but together we had the same indignation and the
same rage of justice.

By persecuting the Muslim minority in the most absurd way possible, French politicians
stir up racism and deepen the fractures in society. In short, they do exactly the game of
the Islamic State, which recruits amid hatred and resentment. ---- A scandal caused by the
FN around a "day burkini" in a private water park near Marseille; a beach brawl attributed
(falsely) to Burkini history; several municipalities following the lead of the
municipality of Cannes, which, on 28 July 2016, has banned access to beaches "any person
not properly dressed, respectful of morality and secularism" ; Police who ridicule
forcing a woman to undress on the beach in the name of "public order" ... ---- Was sad at
first overshadowed by the Nice attack , then tarnished by the pathetic controversy which
broke out around the "burkini ', a bathing suit covering the body of Muslim women who so
wish, in accordance with their interpretation of Islam, "protect their modesty."
The bear comes under the strict individual freedom! Banned by several municipalities -
perfectly illegal Furthermore, following the judgment of the State Council from 26 August
- says a lot about the Islamophobic fury that gangrene French society.
Nice, August 23, 2016.
DC Best Picture
It should also be emphasized that the feminist grounds, threadbare, is even more
emphasized by the censors. It is now "anti-terrorism" prevailing when the administrative
judges justify the anti-Burkini stopped explaining that this outfit "can indeed be
interpreted as not being a simple sign of religiosity [...] in the context of emergency
and recent Islamist attacks. "
Mixing everything, in spite of common sense, in defiance of reality.
For politicians of the PS , of LR or FN - and even in the ranks of the Communist Party -
the challenge is simple: limit the public debate to issues of "identity" to ignore the
real problems that plague society. For what, every day, rots the lives of the working
classes, it is not the length of skirts to school, or the substitution of food in canteens
nor Burkini on beaches but rather exploitation, insecurity, unemployment, racial and
gender discrimination ...
Alternative Libertaire refutes the conflation of Islam and terrorism, and denies these
shameful attempts invisibiliser a minority and excluded from the public space. With our
colleagues, our families, at work or at school, do not leave the field open to racism.

Another international volunteer fighting in the ranks of the People's Protection Units
(YPG) has died in the military operation to liberate Manbij. ---- Jordan MacTaggart,
nom-de-guerre Ciwan Firat, from Colorado USA, was killed during a mission to save
civilians on 3 August 2016, said a statement from the YPG. ---- "Our comrade was a modest
and genial person, who was always at the frontline of the fight against terrorists. Martyr
Jordan raised the flag of freedom and fraternity of peoples. His struggle and resistance
has enriched the Rojava revolution and carved his name into the history of our peoples."
---- The YPG sent their condolences to MacTaggart's family and promised "to realise the
fallen fighter's dreams". ---- MacTaggart's family also released a statement saying: ----
"Our son made a clear minded, well researched decision to travel to Syria and join forces
with the YPG-A Kurdish militia made up of male and female civilians. All volunteers
organized and determined to fight the evil that is ISIS.
Jordan admired the Kurds from afar and grew to love them as a people and eventually his
comrades in arms. Their cause became his. Without regret or remorse he was in Syria to do
his best to help them. He was welcomed and loved in return. He spoke so highly of them and
his fellow foreign fighters from all over the globe.
We love him unconditionally. We support him completely and our sincerest wish is that no
one turns a blind eye to this ongoing Kurdish revolution. We support this cause and the
selfless men and women in the YPG/YPJ."
The operation to liberate the strategically important city Manbij, which connects the
Turkey border and IS' capital Raqqa, is in its 70th day today. At least 90% of the city is
reported to have been liberated with clashes continuing in neighbourhoods where IS
militants are using civilians as human shields.

In 1903 Lizzie Magie patented the 'Landlords Game'-originally intended as an
anti-capitalist critique of monopolistic corporate greed. "It is a practical demonstration
of the present system of land-grabbing with all its usual outcomes and consequences,"
Magie wrote in a political magazine. "It might well have been called the 'Game of Life',
as it contains all the elements of success and failure in the real world, and the object
is the same as the human race in general seem[s] to have, ie, the accumulation of wealth."
---- The game was popular among left-wing progressives and at university campuses, until
some thirty years later when Charles Darrow and his wife played it a dinner party. At the
time the game wasn't often bought in a box; rather, it was copied and shared between
friends, known as 'the monopoly game'. Darrow was taken with the game and asked his host
to make him a set, along with a copy of the more advanced rules. In 1935, he copied and
sold the game, now known as Monopoly, to Parker Brothers along with the myth of its creation.

The object is to become the wealthiest player through buying, renting and selling of a
single commodity-property. The game of Monopoly is one of accumulation and power that
enables each player the chance to compete. Magie invented the game to reveal the current
economic system and the greed of those monopolising it; though it was over a hundred years
ago and many alterations have been made, parallels between playing a game of Monopoly and
life under capitalism still exist today.
When you begin a game of Monopoly players are given equal odds for success: you each
receive $1500, the board is open, and everyone has the potential to expand an empire. You
go around the board like this for a while, buying properties, building houses and hotels,
and just having a good ol' time accumulating wealth. Until all of a sudden the game gets
really serious. You land on Park Lane, it has a red hotel perched upon it and you realise
you're fucked. You count out your paper money, mortgage half your properties and pay the
astronomical fee for landing on this spot, but you know it's all over. There's a sickening
feeling of anger in your gut as you paste a smile on your face and say, "It's just a
game!" But everyone knows what happens next. The leading player gets wealthier and
wealthier, accumulating properties as the others are forced to retire-all the while
remembering why they hate Monopoly.
The tendency towards monopoly is deeply rooted in the nature of the capitalist economic
system, and unlike the game of Monopoly we don't all start on an equal footing. Capitalism
is characterised by gross inequalities in power, wealth and access to resources, and in
our society these inequalities are only getting worse. The game of monopoly is well afoot
in the Australian housing market, and those of us who weren't born lucky enough to inherit
the metaphorical $1500 are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain secure access to
housing.
In 1982, the ABS Survey of Income and Housing revealed that 168,000 or 10% of home buyers
spent more than 30% of their gross household income on housing costs. Nearly 30 years
later in 2011 these numbers had soared to 640,000, equivalent to 21% of all home buyers.
The trend in housing cost burdens reflect rising real house prices; property market booms
escalate real house prices to higher levels than they peaked in the previous boom. But
with each peak in house prices, household incomes fall continuously behind. According to
the same ABS data source, households in 1990 on average valued their homes at four times
their average household income, by 2011 this multiple had climbed to nearly six times
average household income.
The problem is not one of a shortage of housing, but an inefficient and unequal
distribution of the stock housing. There are an estimated 84,000 vacant residential
properties in Melbourne, the majority owned by property investors and speculators. At the
same time, the public housing waiting list has blown out to ten years as 34,000 people
wait for a place to live. This is both obscene, and the logical consequence of an economic
system in which housing is not a human right, but rather a commodity to be bought, sold
and speculated on for private profit.
The Australian government has done everything it can to support the rampant cycle of
property speculation which is driving housing inaffordability across Australia. The
combination of "negative gearing" and a concessionary rates of capital gains tax on
residential real estate have amounted to a massive transfer of capital to those wealthiest
enough to engage in property speculation. Negative gearing means that individuals with
high incomes can lower their income tax liabilities by borrowing to buy investment
properties. When these speculators cash out, they avoid tax again, thanks to the Capital
Gains Tax concessions. The result is that $11.7 billion dollars a year that might have
been collected in tax revenue is instead funneled into the pockets of the wealthiest, and
this occurs in a process that drives up property prices and rents, and progressively locks
large sections of the working class out of the housing market.
Unfortunately for us, capitalism is an adaptable system, capable of evolving and
transforming over time. Since Magie invented the 'Landlords Game' in 1903 we have seen a
major merger movement for industry, greater concentration of capital, advanced selling
power through advertising, and a mass expansion for the market through globalization and
imperialism. Just like the outcome of the game, the monopolisation of capital results in
the most powerful minorities dividing all the profits whilst the greater part of humanity
suffers from ever increasing poverty. The standard of living for the wealthy is based on
the extreme oppression of the working class.
So whilst there are clear parallels between a game of Monopoly and the conditions of life
in a capitalist society, it is also clear that the conditions of our lives are unequal and
the outcomes far worse for most. You don't start on 'GO' at the same time as everyone
else, you're certainly not given the same amount of wealth to begin with, all of the
properties, utilities and businesses are already owned, and it seems like your dice only
roll ones and twos. It's also really hard to find free parking. The truth is most of us go
around the board year in and year out trying to pass 'GO' for our measly wage, hoping we
can scrape together enough money to pay our rent and survive. If you can't pay your rent
you don't get to stop playing, you have to keep rolling your shitty dice, trying to make
it back to 'GO' or dying in the process. Meanwhile the minority who monopolise the board
don't ever really begin the game, certain players just pass their piece on, accompanied by
their every-growing pile of notes, properties, and little red hotels.
