For some days, a few dozen refugees hosted in Hotel Rion Beach, in Rio area, away from
Patras. ---- Afternoon Sunday, October 23 were posted in the area of an announcement from
an initiative Rio residents committee called for the meeting to another hotel in the area
for the "issue emerged suddenly, unpredictably and with complete privacy in our region by
creating refugee hundred refugees Cover (?) ". ---- Directly antisygkentrosi was called at
the Rio suburban station this afternoon involving dozens antifascists, leftists and
anarchists. Then they held a protest of about 200 people. The course was moved to the
point of the meeting invited "residents committee" where he found that he never appeared
one, while the hotel itself was noon issued notice of cancellation of the debate in the
area, after the reactions caused.

Then the course was moved to the hotel staying the homogeneity of refugees to signify
support and solidarity.

We participated in the anti-fascist / anti-racist gathering breaking in practice the
climate of racism and cannibalism trying to create some fascists residents and the media
raised them. At the same time we sent a first warning to those who think that TV image of
Oreokastro be transferred identically in our neighborhoods. Fascism will get the answer of
the road!

As anarchists we stand consciously stand next to each repressed and oppressed of this
world and strive together for life and dignity. We aim to link the struggles of immigrants
/ refugees with the project of a total overthrow the state and capital. Together all the
exploited and oppressed of this world to resist the murderous plans of the state and the
bosses. For placing the social and class self-organization, the common struggles locals
and immigrants against poverty, misery, fear, racism and state and parastatal terrorism.
Promote the ongoing struggle for global social revolution, anarchy and libertarian communism.

"A beast n 'war and fleeing n' ampla of and is're both the girl zympraga death" - couplet
which was awarded at this year's mantinada competition organized in Cretan village on the
refugees - One head -the largest age- symmetrical and sober, he knows the past and has
lived the birth of his brother. The other young and sickly, disfigured by abuse and
reactionary. He does not know his age and despises fraternal advice. The two faces of the
beast, sharing the same body. - A body relatively healthy, with large displacement, not
because of the food-this was denied many times but because of history. ---- For almost
four decades -from birth neoterou- two heads dragging their bodies in a different
direction. When one wants to go left, the other directed to the right and pulls, and when
one turns to the south, the other stubborn and go running to the north. For years now,
their bodies shaken by conflicts and quarrels, his flesh torn apart by stretching and soul
of tans of alienation.

One head the newest, Crete represents the 'captains', born and bred a party koza nostra
poisoning years now the local government. Crete is ND and PASOK, which for decades
degenerate place, imposing the culture of Aga and avlokolaka. They are sold out former and
current bosses type Vardaki and boron shame history Labour Centres. Are Avgenakides, the
Kourakou, the Mitsotakis, the Kefalogiannidon, the MARKOGIANNAKI and the Karchimakides,
the government subsidized armies.

The faithful helpers of 'Europeanism' 'which showed the EU as a synonym of culture and
development, while all that ultimately reserves were indebtedness, destroying small
farmers, consumerism, corruption, pesticides, cancer, loss of local varieties, tinted
windows, aesthetic degradation of rural and mass tourism brings money to megaloxenodochous
the coast and leaving the mainland to ravage a nutshell: social, economic, cultural
underdevelopment and deepening of class inequalities.

This is Crete workers slaves, melting tourist sweatshops without insurance, with unpaid
overtime and starvation wages. Crete is the immigrant laborers who accept racism and
misery ellinaradon a portion that would leave their where olive trees be deserted if there
were Albanians, Bulgarians and Romanians to harvest their olives. Are themselves sexist,
pseftontaides strange that the Muslim headscarf, the hijab forgetting their grandmother.
Those who accuse Muslims that Spawning then forgetting again that the grandmother has 5-6
siblings.

Crete is the Spanaki of Kalatzakis and Armoutaki, calling them neo-Nazis in the municipal
Council or of Crete chountolamogion like SKOULI family Belvedere Peninsula, once they made
hotels with the help of the Junta and now hosting fasistosynaxeis Golden dawn.

Crete is the mafia of drug abuse and trafficking, abuses, abuse of animals, rape buried
under the carpet in order not to leave his name in the village of 'kritikaron' 'filled
pinch and cocaine Crete , night-clubs molests island reaping huge profits from a
narco-porn industry, which nobody touches (when orthodox '' moral '' conniving) the lucre
talking ˙ all that despite their criminal action against the people and the youth of Crete
on Sunday make their cross to the Virgin as if nothing was wrong. Crete is the Kazantzakis
Museum administration demeans the author's name, maintaining the museum with dirty money
of Marinakis.

Crete is those '' artists '', that instead of singing about the power of the people
against the injustice they sing about the power of beretas and horsepower of the
four-wheel drive themselves to the floor cursing EKAM and just downloaded hug them. Crete
is the open sore called a US military base in Souda, on the eve of which finalized the
Mitsotakis government hand Samaras. Is proskynimeni side of Crete, not the '' foreign ''
but the money or dazzled by the super-profits of the exploitation of workers, subordinated
to local mikroexousia, bosses and demagogues. Crete which is selling the Cavo Sidero in
British sharks and mountains in Copelouzos is selling off Crete Crete. Crete's employer
terrorism, pimp, night and complicity.

But memory does not go away so easily.

So next to oblivion and response, standing the other head the oldest. Crete is mutual,
simplicity, cultural creation. Crete knows its history, the full war, pain and refugees.
Crete to remember people to migrate in Piraeus, Naxos, Kythira and other islands
persecuted Aegean from the horrors of war and retaliation after the uprisings of the 19th
century, but also in Bodrum and Syria, therefore the compulsory uprooting thousands of
Cretans the 1923˙ remember the Greeks shouting 'tourkosporous' our-grandparents refugees
from M. Asia, who worked in stafidergostasia workers with starvation wages, just as
today's immigrants from the Middle East.

Crete is poor but merry people, who will do everything to filepsoun in a food dish. Crete
of the anti-monarchist, anti-dictatorial, anti-fascist struggle, who revolted against the
Metaxas with the movement of 29 July, the site recorded the largest percentage by King in
the 1974 referendum, the same place that continues to give lower rates in the Golden Dawn
. It is the island of the captain of ELAS and refugee Asia Minor., Captain 'Apron' 'from
Larani, Captain' 'Satan' 'Grigoraki from Krousonas of Vrentzos or' pancakes '' from Anogia
and other flagship forms of freedom and resistance.

Crete is the anti-American-imperialist uprising in July 1990 in Chania, the militant
movement against RSW, the protests against the drop of the chemical war in the
Mediterranean initiatives against the sellout of Cape Sidero. In this Crete, people do not
parade their guns here and there, but the guard house as their grandparents for the next
time the fascists will go on the road. This Crete is in harmony with nature, protecting
the environment and food heritage and respect animals. Is the world of workers,
unemployed, peasants experienced at first hand the operation and reacts is the world of
bold and honest people fighting for truth against injustice and disguise. Crete is
battling against dirt political and social stench. Crete is freedom and solidarity.

In the collision of these two worlds there is no neutrality. We must take place now, not
to be forced to take a position when it is too late. The xenophobic climate has created a
small provocateurs portion synomosiologon, fascists of the ASE, the Bulk and EPAM Island
(Tympaki, Rethymno) lately, is a small sample of the ongoing social ekfasismou that has
its roots in poverty, lack of information, the short memory and criminality local blue and
green principles.

Both Rethymnon few days ago, and on Tymbaki earlier this month, the fascists followed the
old tried, provocative gkempelikis inspiration practices. If the truth does not suit them,
they decided to invest in a lie and myth: Rethymnon spreading false rumors mortgaged
properties will be given to refugees, while in Tympaki saw forged documents, written
allegedly by Muslims of Crete claiming the fortunes of local and notices written by
synomosiologous of EPAM by lying on relocation jihadists in the region. Lie, and cowardly
provocation, these are historical legacies of nationalism and fascism.

Apart from the perpetrators, the question is what politically and morally responsible for
the incubation and development of these fascist enclaves. It remains only to look at the
postwar history of Crete: how namely the Euro-populism of ND and PASOK, engendered a
state-generation, which closed the eye to racism, sexism, the '' kapetaniliki 'and mafias
to build clientelism their manor, and how entire regions victims of the Common
Agricultural Policy (CAP) as Tymbaki, lived for decades in a subsidized bubble that burst
in the first decade of the 21st century and bequeathed residents with known Euro-Union
goods such as indebtedness, antiparagogikotita, '' dependent '' crops etc.

Xenophobia So there is a cultural feature of any region, is a product of the anti-popular
policy of the EU and the subculture of demagogues ND and PASOK. This raises the fascists
and mafiosi, they are deepening class inequalities, they sell out the land and degrade the
cultural communities.

We have stated our very existence on which side we belong. We know that our camp is loud
and crowded, but simultaneously disappointed and inactivated. We therefore call, all who
are part of the exploited, to lift his head and take action. Faced with the prospect of
arrival of immigrants on the island, we must stand united alongside our class brothers and
against fear, lies and fascism. To support people who have been uprooted by the flames of
war, as we uprooted countless times. To defend the history and order us to defend culture
and freedom of our country. We will win.

AND NOW AND ALWAYS LIKE THE 40s

It was during the Spanish Revolution of 1936 libertarian affect closest utopia that
generations of activists had worn every day. An exceptional self-management experience is
emerging. An almost unique example in the history of the international labor movement.
---- As soon as the military coup (Uprising) triggered by General Francisco Franco, 18
July 1936, the resistance is organized. It is primarily the result of unions and
revolutionary organizations. The government of the Frente Popular, elected in February
1936, remains impotent. Aragon, in the Levant, in a part of Castile and especially in
Catalonia, the "nationalist" armies are routed only by the mobilization of the working
class, predominantly organized within the CNT[1]. ---- Historian Agustin Guillamon in his
book Barricades in Barcelona (1936-1937), wrote: "Once the state monopoly of violence
destroyed, because the army had been defeated in the street and that the proletariat was
armed, began a revolutionary situation which imposed its violence, its power, its order:
the power of a working class army. "

A social and economic revolution then spreads, with more or less intensity, changing the
social structure of these regions as a model of egalitarian and anti-authoritarian
society, fundamentally opposed to the "barracks communism" established in the USSR Stalin
where the GPU, the purges and gulags were definitely killed every revolutionary ideal.

Popular self-management and workers' canteens

Remembering the advice of the Russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin, according to which "a
hungry revolutionary people will always thank you for any demagogic adventurer"
revolutionaries set to work in the early hours of the uprising for organize the
distribution of essential goods. In all districts, all cities and towns, are established
for the purpose of organizations called "supply committees." The first communal canteens
host hundreds of workers.

"Our work"
socialized automobile industry
In Barcelona, they are former palaces, previously occupied by the Catalan bourgeoisie and
foreign, which are transformed into huge soup kitchens. The big hotels are sometimes
requisitioned for other purposes, as noted by a member of the CGT-SR, sister organization
of the CNT witnessed this amazing fact:

"The NTC has dislodged the supporters of the great wealth that has long starved workers,
transforming these luxurious buildings in the houses of the people. All large hotel is
just a memory; it is in this box with spacious accommodations that big bourgeois tired of
doing nothing is offered only that luxury, with 100 pesetas per day. Today is the hotel
workers and free. "[2]

"At last we are free! "
Socialization of hairdressers and barbers
On 28 July 1936, the Catalan CNT estimates the complete general strike. The military coup
was dammed. The economic machine starts working again, but this time under the leadership
of the workers and the workers themselves. From July 23, the first factories
collectivization measures take place in Barcelona: water services, energy, lighting,
workshops of railways, the metal sector.

Subsequently, other companies are in turn collectivized, breweries, hair salons, film
workshops ... Taking the example of a tannery in the suburbs of Barcelona, a French
syndicalist wrote:

"The factory occupies 700 working men and women. Salaries were raised as in all
industries. The single wage does not exist yet, but next salarié.es meeting must discuss.
When a worker is injured or ill: it affects 75% of his salary; before he touched anything,
Spain with no social insurance.

"The lever of the Catalan economy"
1st Regional Congress of the construction unions, wood and decoration
The work week is 36 hours without loss of pay. This is how the tannery Mollet each
workshop appoints its delegates are among seventeen. These are seventeen men and women who
together form the factory committee to work organization. A factory council and the
director are appointed by the general meeting of the workers. Both bodies meet whenever
required there. Each of these committees is revocable. "[3]

The salary issue is central. First, there is attempt to remove the money and wage labor. A
French libertarian stops, in this regard, the example of the free town of Fraga in Aragon:

"After a stay of two days in Lleida, we leave. We must reach Fraga, large agricultural
town of 8,500 inhabitants. After a hearty visit to the resort, we gather at the
headquarters of the Fulani of the committee. The first information that we are given is
that the money does not circulate; Money is deleted; money, medium of exchange and
capitalist power, no longer applies. A family book replaces, on which are inscribed all
foodstuffs and other goods necessary for life. The booklet serves to control and does not
allow a resident more food than another, all are equal. The people's committee is elected
by the general assembly of the population. "[4]

"Revolution. Equitably share power. Denounce hoarders "
socialized food industries
If these cash Removal experiences are part of life in farming communities of Aragon, which
dominates the influence of the CNT, the central libertarian must deal in the industry with
the UGT, the socialist union. It then heads towards a compromise CNT-UGT and therefore the
practice of single or family wage spreads.

"Women of Aragon no longer weep winter"

In the countryside, the people fought against the caciques (local leaders), the feudal
landlords, tax officials, moneylenders, leaves the hands of the peasants of large tracts
of land they covered after centuries of spoliation. As the city is the urgency of the
situation that stimulated collectivization.

"Farmer, the revolution gives you the earth"
farming communities
The agrarian collectivism is also the consequence of decades of anarchist propaganda in
the countryside. Activists and homeless activists were touring from village to village,
providing books ( between campesinos of the Italian anarchist Errico Malatesta or The
Conquest of Bread Peter Kropotkin) and magazines of the CNT (as La Revista blanca )
processing agricultural issues.

From 1933 are also consistently highlighted examples of collectivization now rampant.
Although these collective common experiences are generally short, repression shooting down
quickly on the village people, they are works of propaganda. José Peirats in Spanish
Anarchists - 1936 Revolution and struggles always gives us the kind of testimony
collectivist peasants, published in the libertarian press of the time: "Here, there are
neither poor nor rich, or social problems or unemployed workers. Here, we share fairly and
production together, working, we live peaceful and happy. "

"On the front and rear CNT work for victory"
socialized textile industry
On 19 July 1936 the syndiqué.es CNT and UGT are developing rapidly "revolutionary
committees" to organize the first land seizures that are immediately shared. The invasion
of much of Andalusia by Franco's armies prevents massive collectivization in this region.
Other regions have large scale collectivisations phenomena. But it is especially in
Catalonia and Aragon in the collectivization of experiences will be the most numerous and
especially the most complete.

A French anarcho-syndicalist evokes the avant-garde of the collectivization:

"In the countryside around Barcelona and Catalonia, collectivization followed its normal
course at the same rate as factories, completely reorganizing work by grouping all small
properties in a wide radius.

In each department, a "culture committee" is made responsible for organizing the work, the
selection of seeds and seedlings; this committee, appointed general meeting of farmers
consists of delegates from areas. They divided into groups and each zone each group a
responsible comrade is responsible for assigning work. They are as well organized as in
industry.

[...]In Aragon, the achievements are greater than the influence of libertarian communism,
because in addition to the organization of joint work, the money disappeared as a means of
exchange to make way for book producer, giving the right to all that is necessary for
human life, according to the possibilities of the anarchist commune.

We we explain the mechanism of trade. It is organized in nature, between the villages
having removed the money. With the cities where money remains, the exchange takes place on
the basis of existing courses and the supply is effected by purchasing routed over the
villages that perform distribution to residents on presentation of the consumer book.

"Comrade, demonstrates your working ardently anti-fascism"
gas industries, hydraulic and electrical socialized
This system gives full satisfaction to interested parties. This is the first time we did
we say that women do not cry Aragon winter. Indeed, once the product of the harvest was
insufficient to pay the debts to the "caciques" and clergy. The Aragonese defend their
conquests to the death if need be, but they can not go back. For them the past is quite
dead "[5]

Exceeding the old social classes

Important given that collectivization of land: it lies in a voluntary act of
interested-es. The Spanish revolution in the country is, in this respect, not comparable
with the Russian Revolution and the bloody episode of "dekulakization" in the late 1920s
called peasants "individualistic", most small tenants , are choosing to live on the
margins of communities. Their choice is respected by the "collectivist" that keep them
with opportunities to exchange products. But as noted by the French activist mentioned
earlier, these small owners do not stay indifferent to the benefits of the collective
work: pooling of land but also of poultry, livestock, fertilizer, seed and harvest . And
it is not uncommon for "some early refractory had later joined the collective organization."

"Do not throw paper, graphic arts union Acquires"
socialized printing industry
Another reality lies in overcoming the old social classes. While many former bosses have
chosen to join the armed Franco, others accept the new social order. A French libertarian
gives the example of a farming community in the suburbs of Barcelona where a worker and
his former boss are now together in a common effort:

"The technical committee of agriculture is composed of five workers and four former
bosses. All bosses have agreed collectivization; there has been more reluctance among
workers who believed lose something. A story is told by a former boss who is part of the
Technical Committee with a fellow worker who had worked with him. In 1931, during a
strike, the two employees today were somewhat boxed. One was boss, another worker, and the
former boss who tells us that tells us that the fear of a new battle no longer exists,
operating its like not existing. "[6]

In the same article, the author emphasizes the role of anti-fascist columns in the
multiplication of these collectivist experiences: "Everywhere where are the militia of the
Durruti Column, the same life system is organized. "

Posters of freedom fighters
Spain 1936
Discover dozens of posters of the Spanish revolution on Affiches-combattants-liberte.org
Gradually, as the militiamen and militia, mainly the CNT and the POUM, free the villages
from the grip Franco, the same debate is taking place between supporters of
collectivization and supporters of land fragmentation. And as shown in the Ken Loach film
Land and Freedom, they and are invited es by the villagers to give their opinion on the
issue. These revolutionary activists es experienced no shortage of convincing audiences,
already tempted by the collectivist way, the interests of the pooling of land.

"Proud to finally work for themselves"

After his trip to Spain, Pierre Besnard, French syndicalist and secretary of the CGT-SR, said:

"I saw all men at work in the fields, women and children in the villages, the working men
and women going to work happy, proud to finally work for themselves. The joy was painted
on their seriousness and serious undoubtedly faces, but no trace of worry. They knew that
something had changed and they were going to a better future.[...]A great experience is
hatching. "[7]

The Spanish revolution, is, undoubtedly, one of the most accomplished examples in both its
economic and social realities in scope. Frank Mintz, historian and author of
Self-management and anarcho-syndicalism. Analysis and criticism of Spain (1931-1990),
estimated that 1.838 million people lived under the collectivist regime espagnol.es
revolutionaries.

Pierre Douillard-Lefevre, sociologist and historian, lost an eye following a launcher
firing "defense of bullets." In a small book published by Editions du Waterfront, Eye of
the Needle, it traces the history of the creation of the French police arsenal in detail
the composition, and highlights the growing militarization of the police. ---- In 1995,
the Director General of the National Police, Claude Gueant, decided to equip his men with
a new weapon: the Flash-Ball gun. The turn is symbolic: the troops fired back at the
crowd. In 2002, Sarkozy, Interior Minister, will engage in this shift with enthusiasm and
non-lethal weapons will increase. They allow to target a determined protester and
implement a highly effective strategy in a hurt to deter thousand.

Tested in a ghost town in the Dordogne and in the peripheries (the poor and non-white
constitute the overwhelming majority of injured es serious victims of police) or at
sporting events, these weapons are designed to a field of Action: revolt. The deployment
of men and equipment against social movements is increasingly imposing, even while
contesting practices are pacified. The rupture between rulers and ruled-are radicalized,
and our leaders are responding by intensifying the violence safe.

Meanwhile, the capitalist logic is grafted on the issue of policing: France, we know, is a
major arms sellers countries, lethal and non-lethal ... The field use is a good argument
sales and the ability to obtain new orders, a good reason to still massify already
colossal equipment.

But the fight is also semantic ... a nod to Klemperer, P. DL offers us a tasty analysis of
the term "defense of bullet launcher," a masterpiece of understatement! More broadly, any
term calling the police arsenal deployed deny the violence, while conversely, the
protestors are demonized es ( "thugs" ...) or reified-es by the speeches of agents and
service their superiors. Moreover, the servile complaisance of politicians who bet on an
alliance with the police unions to get (or stay) in power, causes them to adjust their
interventions on this paradigm. Rightward and rampant media in recent years using the
security doxa to bloom, and the injured are serious-disappearing speeches.

Opening with the death of Remi Fraisse, and a review of the state apparatus immediately
set in motion to stifle the political, the text written before the attacks of 13-November
and forward movements against the law work, describes the state of chilling picture of the
situation today. And ends on the idea that the question is no longer whether new
thresholds will be crossed in police violence, but finding how to organize ourselves to
resist.

Released in France on September 7 Kobanî Calling is the latest graphic novel of Italian
Zerocalcare. Kobanî Calling, it is the result of two trips to the author of Kurdistan and
a small group of activists from the centri sociali, these alternative cultural places and
activists typical of Italy. ---- We will go to Rome to Kobanî, via Turkey, Qandil
Mountains, Syria and Iraq, sometimes a few meters positions Daech, over 260 pages. No one
length, we discover the complexity of the war in Kurdistan. Whether you subscribe to
Kurdistanews on Facebook or the Kurds we are completely unknown-es, Kobanî Calling is an
ultra-available graphic novel, educational, rich, funny and moving. ---- Born in 1983,
Zerolcalcare is a committed artist who is becoming increasingly popular in Italy. With a
style all his own, full of humor and self-mockery, he tells the stories that make her
daily in the Roman suburb of Rebibbia. It also addresses broader causes, such as police
violence, which have particularly marked in the G8 summit in Genoa in 2001.

With this latest comic, Zerocalcare takes a clear position in favor of the struggle of the
Kurdish people and the revolutionary experience being in Rojava. This publication is in
itself a great act of support for these misunderstood and maligned struggles.

However, at no point does the author we read a work of propaganda mythifiant the Rojava or
the exploits of its fighters and combatants. Instead, Zerocalcare continues to question
and to step back on his observations during his two trips. Rather anti-hero warrior
adventurer well, we expressed doubts on these trips. Kobanî Calling is an important
testimony of women and men who, caught between expanding Daech, repression of Turkish
state and the interests of the Western powers, still during the war, to build a society
based on true equality, coexistence between peoples and emancipation. Enough to want to
pursue the matter and develop the solidarity that hope needs.

In short, the perfect gift to put in any hands.

Dear comrades of the Federacíon Anarquista Uruguaya, ---- We, militants of the Zabalaza
Anarchist Communist Front (ZACF), send you a big clenched fist salute and revolutionary
internationalist greetings on this the historic occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the
founding of the Federación Anarquista Uruguaya  - commemorating 60 years of struggle for
freedom and socialism. ---- Knowing all the obstacles and challenges that we in the ZACF
have and continue to face in trying to build a revolutionary anarchist movement rooted in
the daily life, struggles and fighting organisations of the oppressed classes we can only
begin to imagine the commitment, hard work and sacrifices that must have gone into
building the FAU, developing its extensive social insertion and influence in the fighting
organisations and struggles of the oppressed Uruguayan people and sustaining it over such
a long period - including under such incredibly harsh circumstances as military
dictatorship. This, for us, is a source of inspiration and reassurance and we pay homage
to all the militants of the FAU, both past and present, who, through their conviction and
commitment to the emancipation and redemption of mankind through social revolution, their
spirit of working class solidarity and resistance, their selfless sacrifices and tireless
militancy continue to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength, inspiration and wisdom
not only for the ZACF but anarchists and anarchist organisations around the world.

We will always recognise FAU as one of those organisations that has made every effort to
advance the cause of organised class struggle anarchism and internationalism. It has not
only been a source of inspiration to the ZACF, but FAU has and continues to be an
important theoretical and organisational reference for us and has played an important part
- sometimes indirectly, through its influence on and support for the especifista
organisations in Brazil - in contributing to the development, survival and growth of the
ZACF. Indeed, our organisational conceptions and theoretical understandings of anarchism
have been influenced and enriched by what little we think we know or understand about the
FAU's practical and historical experience, its theoretical conceptions and strategic
outlook - as well as those of especifismo in general.

It has been a long and no doubt hard and bumpy road since 1956. We honour the many FAU
militants, like Alberto "Pocho" Mechoso, who gave up their freedom and even their lives in
the struggle for freedom and socialism. Yet, after all is said and done, you are
celebrating another milestone, another anniversary. You continue to keep the red and black
banner of class struggle anarchism alive and well on the Latin American continent -
holding it up as an example for all to see.

Convinced as we are of the need for anarchist militants to be organised politically, in
anarchist political organisations - and for these to seek social insertion within the
movements and struggles of the oppressed classes - it is very reassuring for us to be able
to reference, and count amongst our comrades, an organisation such as FAU and its militants.

Although there is a vast ocean between us, FAU has always been like a distant relative we
wish we had more time to spend with and engage, and we hope to continue and deepen this
relationship between our organisations.

Comrades, we salute the FAU and stand with you in our common struggle for a new world,
shoulder to shoulder, fists raised and heads held high, hearts and minds fixed on a new
horizon. On freedom and socialism.

Arriba l@s que luchan!
No esta muerto quien pelea!

After many months of efforts Wielkopolska Association of Tenants, the city of Poznan in
September. finally took the decision to suspend the proceedings against the indebted
tenants waiting for the allocation of social housing. Bailiffs (at the request of a
creditor or city) suspended proceedings. ---- As a result of the intervention of WSL since
the spring of 2016 years the city does not bring this type of new cases to the courts (for
an enforcement order), and the ongoing proceedings before the courts finally been
suspended. In total this applied to approx. 430 cases. The scale of the phenomenon may,
however, be much greater, but it is not clear how many tenants would be at risk of this
type of claim. Greater Tenants' Association and the European Coalition for the Right to
the City believe halt the execution of a major success in the fight for the rights of tenants.

Recall: in the case of tenants living in a private house, the courts ruling on evictions,
often stipulated that they people that due to (according to law) the right to social
housing. While waiting for allocation to social housing (also according to the law), but
they had to be adjusted so. "Penal rent" (compensation for non-contractual use of a
dwelling). It was higher than the rent social 4 and even 6-fold (10-15 zl per square meter
to 2.45 zl per m²). Because the tenants waiting for the allocation of social housing even
several years, during this time they were unable to pay the "penal rent." Precisely
because they are unable to pay such high rents, the courts gave them the right to social
housing. During this time, therefore, it was growing debt waiting to move tenants and
private owners, deprived of income, seek a compensation from the city. In turn, the city,
after the payment of compensation to private owners, in turn, demanded the repayment of
debt and waiting for the allocation of social housing tenants. Shocking was that the city
attracted a debt although the same is not discharging its obligation to provide social
housing, thereby contributing to the growth of debt. However, while the legal procedures
allow enforcement of the tenants of this type of debt (the so-called. Recourses), it is
not certain how tenants may secure from the city of their right - confirmed by the final
judgment of the court - to social housing.

Greater Tenants Association objected to such practices, demanding cancellation of "bred"
by the city (as a result of wrong policies and social housing) debt. Our interest also due
to the Ombudsman, who shared our position. Despite the complex in the presence of ROP
March 1. by the city authorities declaration that Poznan will not "chase" above. debtors,
over the next few months, the city, though probably not guided new cases to court, still
attracted "criminal rentals" from the indebted tenants. At the same time WSL was informed
that halted all executions. But it was only in September. bailiffs (at the request of a
creditor or city) suspended the relevant proceedings.

The issue of debt relief tenants (recourses) still remains unresolved. Currently, we
expect to design an appropriate resolution of the city council on this issue, which
oddluzylaby tenants. Its introduction has already been announced a few months ago.

October is the month in which organizations and groups from all over Europe, in the
framework of the European Coalition for the Right to the City, expressing their opposition
to the anti-social effects of housing policies. In Athens, Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest,
Dublin, Geneva, Lisbon, Paris, Rome and many other European cities in October, held
coordinated actions and protests.
