E-Nieuwsbrief Koerdisch Instituut 2016 /44 Nederlands - English Democratisch verkozen co-burgemeesters Diyarbakir opgepakt! Op 25 oktober, heeft de Turkse politie de 2 co-burgemeesters van de Koerdische  miljoenenstad  Diyarbakir gearresteerd. Hiermee schakelt de Turkse staat de repressie nog een  versnelling hoger.  Lees verder Twee Yezidi-vrouwen winnen Sacharovprijs 2016 Het Europees Parlement heeft gisteren, donderdag 27 oktober, de “Sacharovprijs  voor de Vrijheid van  Gedachten 2016″  toegekend aan twee Yezidi-vrouwen die ontsnapt zijn aan de  terreurgroep Islamitische  Staat.  Lees verder De staatsgreep van Erdoğan De Turkse regering verlengt de noodtoestand waardoor de zuiveringsacties tegen  opposanten verder  kunnen doorgaan. Project: Vrouwenhuis van Kobanê Het Koerdisch Instituut neemt deel aan een internationaal project voor de bouw  van een Vrouwenhuis  in Kobanê, de Koerdische stad in het noorden van Syrië die vernield werd door de  Islamitische Staat.  Meer informatie 14 november: Conferentie over Rojava Op maandag 14 november vindt in Brussel vanaf 18u30 een conferentie plaats over de  toekomst van Syrië en de plaats van Rojava als autonome regio.
