Award "The Cat Man of Aleppo" a Nobel Peace Prize!
| ||||
Dear friends,
Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel is an ambulance driver, father, and husband. He's also "the cat man of Aleppo," and he's made it his mission to provide food and refuge for hundreds of former house-cats made homeless by the war in Syria.
Several years ago, Aljaleel began buying small amounts of meat every day to feed cats left behind by people fleeing the area, but now, he runs a whole shelter for the abandoned animals. People all over Aleppo come to visit, especially children who delight in playing with the cats to forget the destruction and grief of war for a moment.
Aljaleel needs our help more urgently than ever. His cat sanctuary has become a target for repeated bombings and many of his cats have been killed. But the cat man says he has taken a vow to protect these animals and will stay with them "no matter what" to ensure their safety.
Every day, this incredible man shows the world what courage really is. Now we must show him that he has the support of the entire international community. Urge the Nobel Prize awarder to honor Aljaleel for his bravery and compassion!
Thank you for all that you do,
