Help prevent the deportation of a Nuba refugee from the Netherlands to Sudan. This is what you can do until Tuesday evening, 16th May 2017, 22:00 pm.

Tuesday May 16th at 12:50 pm the Dutch government will deport a Sudanese Nuba refugee, to Sudan. His life is in great danger. We fear he will be detained and tortured. That is why the refugee collective ‘We Are Here’, together with Nuba Mountains Solidarity Abroad and Darfur Union, ask for your solidarity.

We ask people to email, call, twitter or leave a facebook message to let these airlines know that they can stop this.

The flight details are:
- > FLIGHT KL0565 by KLM from Schiphol to Nairobi, departure on May 16 at 12:50 pm
- > FLIGHT KL4202 by Kenya Airways from Nairobi to Khartoum, departure on May 16 at 23:10 pm (note: 22:10 CET)

Our brother is from the Nuba Mountains. Nuba people face strong repression in Sudan. It is known that the security services and airport police see refugees who asked for asylum in another country as collaborators. Those people who arrive in Sudan with an emergency travel document and who haven't been in Sudan for a long time, are seen to be suspicious. It is known that such persons are often being detained, tortured and murdered.

We need your support to stop this violent deportation!
It is the first time in 3 years that a deportation to Sudan takes place from the Netherlands. Let the airlines know it is irresponsible to deport people by force to a place where they are not safe.
