Dear friends,
Last week I asked you to take action on behalf of William Morva, a mentally disabled man who is scheduled to be executed by the State of Virginia next week on July 6th. Tomorrow we're going to Virginia to deliver your messages directly to Governor McAuliffe, and we need your help to make our voices louder. Sign our petition, and tell the Governor that the death penalty is cruel and inhumane and that executing people with a serious mental disability is wrong.
Sincerely,
James Clark

Stop Virginia from executing a man with a serious mental disability
| ||||||
Dear friends,
On July 6th, Virginia will execute William Morva, even though he has been diagnosed with delusional disorder, a serious mental disability.
We can’t let this happen. Urge Governor McAuliffe to stop this execution. Friends, we know that the death penalty is cruel and inhumane and executing people with a serious mental disability is wrong. William Morva has a family history of mental disability and during his high school years, close friends and family saw his mental health decline. But during his trial, jurors never heard about the full extent of William Morva’s mental disability. They never heard that his delusional disorder may have contributed to his crimes. Call on Governor McAuliffe to stop William Morva’s execution immediately. We know that Governor McAuliffe has stopped executions before and he can do it again if he hears from enough Amnesty activists like you. Take action today to help stop William’s execution. Sincerely, James Clark Senior Campaigner to Abolish the Death Penalty Amnesty International USA | ||||||
