100 days and no justice

Dear friends –
The news is out: arrests in Chechnya have started again.
Next Monday marks the 100th day since news first broke that Chechen authorities were arresting, jailing, and torturing men because they were believed to be gay. 100 days later and Federal Russian authorities have done nothing.
We're launching a massive online speak-out to tell Kadyrov, Putin and the world that we won't stop fighting until justice is served and the arrests finally end for good.
Just sign up with the link below and a message of solidarity will be posted on your social media channels automatically this Monday.

Dear friends –
Nearly 100 days ago, on April 1, news broke of Chechnya’s anti-gay purge. Over 100 men were arrested, imprisoned, and tortured by state authorities because they were believed to be gay. At least 6 men were murdered.
We thought this state-sponsored terror had ended. But in the last few days, we've heard from survivors that the arrests have resumed.
Russian federal authorities claim the allegations are "a provocation, a false report" and have refused to take action.
This Monday marks the 100th day since the news first broke. 100 days of injustice. We must let Russian authorities know that's 100 days too long and we demand justice!
This has to stop! 100 Days of Injustice in Chechnya
Here’s how it works:
  • On July 10th at 11 am Moscow time, our demand for justice will be posted on social feeds around the world.
  • If enough of us take part, the hashtags #100DaysOfInjustice, #Chechen100, and #Putin will be trending worldwide.
Chechen authorities deny all allegations and consider the suggestion that gay men exist in Chechnya a "filthy provocation." The head of the Argun police in Chechnya said, "My officers would not even want to touch such people, if they exist, let alone beat or torture them."
But my colleagues and I at the Russian LGBT Network have seen first hand the pain and suffering of those who survived these horrors.
We can't let Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic, get away with this anti-gay crackdown.
Thanks for going All Out,
Igor Kochetkov
