Demand Trump Rescind the Refugee Cap Sign Now Dear friends, Recently, President Trump decided to slash the number of refugees the United States will accept to a mere 45,000. At a time when there are more than 65 million displaced people and 22 million refugees globally, one of the largest countries in the world is closing the door. We cannot let this decision stand without a fight. Since World War II, those fleeing war, famine or genocide had nearly a 50 percent chance of being resettled in the US. Not anymore — that is if we let President Trump have his way. This decision is heartless and could not come at a worse time. Many other countries have already reached capacity and are unable to increase refugee resettlement numbers this year. Millions of refugees are left with even fewer options and in even more danger. Show that you have a heart by standing up to President Trump's outrageous refugee resettlement plan.
