justify the destructuration and privatization of a public service.

End of railway status, opening to competition, removal of the less traveled lines, 
everything is there. Mr. Spinetta presumably does not understand what he is talking about, 
because his life takes place outside the realities of employees and users of rail. He 
knows nothing of the prohibitive tariffs and daily difficulties of people exiled from 
urban centers that have become too expensive. But he undoubtedly knows the tactics of the 
planned degradation of public services to justify their privatization. And like his 
master's little dog, he understands what he is asked to do: bark in the right direction.

Selection at the university, privatization of the SNCF, reform of the tank, the government 
accelerates the forced march. Capitalists often confuse sneering and accession. It may be

It has been 58 days since the Turkish state's first attack on Afrin in Rojava last January 
and solidarity initiatives in Rome have succeeded, as in other parts of Italy and around 
the world. Thousands of people were killed, schools and hospitals bombed, including the 
corridor opened by women's self-defense units YPG and YPJ to pass on hundreds of thousands 
of civilians. On the other hand, the self-defense of the inhabitants against the Turkish 
army, allied with the Syrian rebel forces and the Jidahists, is also strong. ---- The 
silence of the mainstream western press  of what is happening in this new phase of the war 
is deafening, and the complicity of the Italian gun makers and businessmen who continue

The regime led by President Emmanuel Macron announced in February that it was freezing 
wages in the public sector, cutting 120,000 jobs, bringing in more contract workers and 
cutting many budgets. The public sector employs 5 million people in France. ---- The 
Macron regime also intends to de-nationalise the SNCF, the rail system, with the scrapping 
of retirement ages of 52 for drivers and 57 for other workers, the ending of assured 
permanent employment and the scrapping of a standard salary scheme. ---- This brought 
widespread anger at this increasingly unpopular government. The public sector unions 
called for strikes and demonstrations on March 22nd. More than a hundred thousand took to 
the streets. University and high school students also undertook protests to commemorate 
the founding of the March 22nd Movement, the student group created in May 1968 which had a 
key role in the May-June events of that year.

There were strikes in schools, on the trains, in air transport, libraries, hospitals and 
other public sector workplaces. Five hundred thousand went out on strike. On the 
demonstrations there were calls for a general strike. Pensioners joined the striking 
workers and students. There was street fighting in Paris and Nantes, with the police using 
tear gas and water cannons.

The Macron regime is worried that "all the grievances fuse together, as was the case in 
1995" as one government official admitted. Then because of the strength of the movement, 
the government was forced to withdraw its austerity programme.

The union bureaucrats will attempt to defuse the movement. It is up to workers, students 
and pensioners to escalate the fight against the cuts and to develop alliances and joint 
action among themselves.

Afrin fell, in blood and in tears. But the story does not end there. Our support for the 
Kurdish left remains intact, as is our solidarity with the Syrian people. Civilians who 
have fled the bombings and exactions massively must be able to return to their homes. ---- 
Sunday, March 18, after almost sixty days of resistance foot, the Syrian Democratic Forces 
have preferred to abandon the city of Afrin in front of the firepower of the Turkish army 
and its Islamic auxiliaries. This news is painful for all and all the friends of the 
Kurdish cause, and more broadly, of peace in the Middle East. ---- We think of the 
hundreds of fighters who died to defend the township on foot: Kurds and Arabs, 
international volunteers from Turkey and around the world. They fought for freedom and 
revolution, and we salute their memory.

We think of the hundreds of thousands of civilians thrown on the roads by entire families 
to escape the advance of Islamist gangsters who today are looting and destroying a 
township that, until then, had been spared by the ravages of the Syrian civil war.

This tragedy would not have been possible without the complicity or neutrality of the 
imperialist states intervening in Syria: Moscow gave the go-ahead to the Ankara operation 
; Paris and Washington said they " understand " their ally in NATO, simply asking him to 
act " with restraint ". France and the European Union have signed a despicable pact with 
Erdogan, funding it to prohibit migrants from entering Europe.

Depicted, the FDS had resigned, after thirty days of fighting, to accept the reinforcement

The story however does not stop there. The loss of Afrîn is a military setback, not a 
political setback. Our support for the Kurdish left, its federalist, feminist and social 
project, respectful of minorities (Yesidis, Armenians, Turkmen, Arabs) remains intact, as 
well as our solidarity with the Syrian people victim of the barbarism of Assad.

The SDF promised to give the Turkish and Islamic occupation troops a guerrilla war in the 
mountains around Afrin.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to demand the right of return of the populations 
who fled the fighting, so that to the invasion does not add the temptation of the ethnic 
cleansing. Turkish troops and their jihadist deputies have to leave Afrin canton.
