SYRIA: The nightmare for families continues.Please help now.
| ||||||
Dear friends,
I know that Amnesty’s passionate supporters like you care deeply and personally about strengthening our movement, supporting human rights, and demanding justice. And over the past few weeks, I’ve been touched by the generosity of more than 1,000 people who have donated in the wake of the catastrophe in Eastern Ghouta, Syria. But as the crisis in Syria enters another heartbreaking year — and as this nightmare continues for Syrian children and families — it’s simply not enough. Because over the past month, more than 1,000 people — many of them children — have been killed in Eastern Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus. Because wave after wave of bombs have rained down on homes and schools. Hospitals crumbled. Chemical weapons fell from the sky. We are urgently seeking funds to step up advocacy and to protect civilians, and we need your support. Luc, with your support today, we will continue to document the horrific abuses and pressure the international community to stop this catastrophe. Together, we can help demand justice and save lives in Syria. Thank you, Margaret Huang Executive Director Amnesty International USA | ||||||
