What can be the contribution of the experiments carried out in Syrian Kurdistan for the
revolutionary movements of other continents ? What are the limits and criticisms that can
be made of them ? A book condenses four years of libertarian action and reflection. ----
The Kurdish revolutionary movement, after breaking the back of the Islamic State in Syria,
suffered a setback in Afri, facing the Turkish occupation troops and their Islamist
auxiliaries. ---- This is a military setback, not a political setback. ---- For the
project of society carried by the Kurdish left in the Middle East continues to refer: a "
democratic confederalism " with distinctly self-managing accents, breaking with
Jacobinism and the nation-state, for gender equality, for the invention of a social and
ecological economy ...

These are the questions addressed in this book, in the light of a compilation of articles
published in the monthly Alternative Libertarian or on the blog
Kurdistan-autogestion-revolution.com . They are the result of analyzes, interviews with
Kurdish comrades exiled in France, testimonies of AL activists who went to Kurdistan to
observe or to fight.

The anarchists of Paraguay1 called not to vote. Simply put, not voting. Not to be part of
the electoral show made to legitimize the oppressive disorder that makes us live the
powerful criminals that govern us from politics, economics and religion. ---- Not to vote
is not to lend the body to this operation to save the appearances that the system has to
give some pills of hope from time to time with the purpose of: divert the social struggles
for an electoral exit; to recycle the political direction of the system by co-opting new
participants and at the same time relegitimizing the old participants; mark the news and
media agenda to divert attention from the issues that really concern people and that has
to do with their economic, social and territorial life; to concentrate in an electoral
spectacle all the social attention with the objective to measure the forces that are able
to mobilize the organs of control and political division that are the political parties.
Not voting is not becoming part of the system nor its routine legitimization. Not voting,
combined with the social struggle, is a declaration of rebellion to the whole system and
to who its political administrators are. Not voting is a coherent antisystem statement.
Not voting is not the same as "void voting" or "blank voting". Vote null or blank are
proposals from political parties that criticize the offer of candidacies that are in these
elections, but want to continue to legitimize the elections and make their own measurement
of electoral strength counting the votes null or white as theirs in view of presenting,
their leaders as candidates. The call to vote void or blank is a call to participate in
elections without electing candidates with the same intention as those who elect
candidates: to measure their "electoral muscle", to constitute themselves as desirable
forces for future electoral alliances and to propose now to their leaders as possible
figures to appear on ballot papers.
Void or blank vote is the same as voting: legitimizes and is part of the system, does not
question anything except the current offer of applications and aims to measure the
percentage of voters who call void or blank.
That is why the anarchists will not vote, because we do not legitimize this oppressive
system in any of its parts and we propose the fight and the disobedience in any place. If
you believe you are anti-system or rebellious to the system, do not go voting, do not lend
your body to the system. The rest is anti-social politicking.
