Help Amnesty fight the bad guys — Join our Rapid Response Network

HELP AMNESTY FIGHT THE BAD GUYS — JOIN OUR RAPID RESPONSE NETWORK

Dear friends,

With the help of activists like you Amnesty International has been fighting the bad guys to protect human rights around the world since 1961. Whether it’s writing letters, making calls, or rallying in the streets Amnesty activists have been on the front lines of the struggle for human rights, and it’s more important now than ever that we continue that fight.

That’s why we’ve created the Rapid Response Network — so that you can receive time-sensitive updates on the most urgent cases affecting individuals and communities at risk through text messages sent right to your mobile phone.

Help Amnesty fight the bad guys by joining the Rapid Response Network today!

As a part of the Rapid Response Network the cases and campaigns you’ll work on will change the world. Recently Astrid, a 15-year-old girl who fled violence in her home country of Guatemala, was awoken by six armed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents standing before her bed, yelling. She had gone to bed the night before expecting—as always—to go to school the next day. Instead she watched as her father Arturo was placed in handcuffs. They were then brought to the Berks County Residential Center in Pennsylvania with Astrid still in her pajamas.

The Rapid Response Network moved to action. Over just one week activists like you drove over 1,600 calls to ICE demanding Astrid and Arturo’s release. After a month in detention Astrid was released and able to go back to school.

Join Amnesty International’s Rapid Response Network to receive urgent updates!

Together we can make a world in which everyone’s human rights are respected.

Sincerely,
Margaret Huang
