Dear friends,
Harley was a sweet, timid black Labrador mix dog whose people adored him to no end. When his family headed out of town for a birthday party, they assumed their cute little "scaredy-cat" would be excited to see them again when they got back. Instead, they returned to find out that Harley had been found decapitated near the local railroad tracks.
This is every pet parent's worst nightmare. We have to demand justice, now. Sign the Care2 petition to make sure police find this killer and hold them accountable.
Harley's dad reports that the scene of the crime was eerie. The dog's body was found laying next to the train tracks, fully intact, as though nothing was wrong. There was no blood and no sign of impact, nothing of that nature — except that somebody had placed his dog collar right next to his body, along with his severed head.
The pup's family had asked a trusted family friend to watch him while they were out of town. At some point, the friend opened a door to the house, and Harley accidentally slipped out. Anyone with a dog will tell you that's pretty common. Usually, the dog runs around until calming down enough to let someone bring them home. No one could have imagined that Harley's disappearance would end as badly as it did.
No pet parent should ever have to go through what Harley's parents experienced. Please sign the petition and urge the local police to bring this dog murderer to justice.
Thank you,
 Miranda B.

P.S. Harley's parents came home to find out their dog had been viciously murdered. Now, they're demanding action and taking it to the press. Will you sign the petition to help them in their fight for justice?
