Dear friends, The fur industry is riddled with animal cruelty and suffering.Every coat, bag, or shoe that uses fur comes at an extreme cost to the animal it belonged to before. While many famous designers have been fur-free for years, fashion powerhouse Marc Jacobs still hasn't stopped using fur in his designs. Animals on fur farms are locked in tiny, cramped wire cages where they are skinned alive. To not damage their fur, many are anally and genitally electrocuted. Many began their nightmare by being trapped in the wild using steel-jaw traps. There is no "cruelty-free" way to obtain fur. It's only a matter of time before fur is a thing of the past, but the sooner it happens, the better. Tell Marc Jacobs to get with the times. Cruelty is out, fur-free fashion is in. High-end designers set trends for the global fashion industry so their commitment to not use fur can have a tremendous impact.
