	Dear friends, Randa and her family lived a peaceful life in Aleppo, Syria until the war forced them to flee. First, their business was seized by militias. Then, the street where they lived became a warzone. Food and water became desperately scarce. When the destruction became too much to bear, they escaped under gunfire. Mohammed, Randa’s husband, carried their daughter, Sham, in his arms as they ran for their lives. The situation for far too many Syrian families like Randa’s is very dire. But there is hope.
