Autonomous women's group - Your MEDICINE GIVES SUCCESS AND RACES, IN THE MEDICINE WE ARE
REQUIRED! ---- Intervention at the hospitals "Alexandra" and GEN "Elena" ---- On the 4th
and 5th of June, approximately 50 women were interfered with in the gynecological
hospitals "Alexandra" and "Elena". We protested, we shared texts, talked to other women,
attacked the doctors' authority and we bothered their minions. ---- All of us who have
gathered in this intervention are women we visit in public structures to examine, to give
birth, to care for our health. But when we go to "Alexandra" and "Elena" hospitals, this
is not the case at all! Instead, we become what the doctors never tell. Those in whom they
cry out if we ask a question, because they "know better what is right for us". Those in
which Cesarean and Perineotomy are imposed without any explanation or explicit consensus.
We are the ones who have to suffer fictitious and wait-and-see before we abortion, pushing
us to private physicians. Those who do not let us breed in our rhythm and plan us the
arrival of our child. We are the ones who have been sexually harassed in the gynecological
clinic. We have heard racist comments because we do not have Greek citizenship or wearing
a headscarf.

We want doctors to know that we have our eyes and ears fourteen and that we have a
collective voice. We are not unsuspecting, we are not victims, we are suspicious because
we know very well who we are dealing with.

That's why it's better to show respect!

The poster was stuck a few days after the interventions

Brighton Solidarity Federation Hospitality Workers have successfully concluded a campaign
against a hotel in Brighton. Brighton SolFed had been working with a former employee for
payment of unpaid holiday pay, as well as compensation for dangerous working conditions
which have had a serious impact on this worker's health. ---- Brighton SolFed organised
with this worker and got the pay and compensation that they're owed after only one picket.
This is yet another case to make hotel and restaurant bosses think twice before subjecting
more workers to these degrading, exhausting and dangerous conditions. ---- Full article in
the link below. Don't let bosses get away with these criminal conditions. Unionise!
Organise! Fight Back! ---- Having trouble at work or want to get organised? Get in touch
with Brighton SolFed, either by direct message on here, or by emailing: brighton@solfed.org.uk

On Monday, June 18, we performed red painting interventions and with slogans on the front
of the buildings, in the 6 stores that AV Vasilopoulos has in the city of Patras. Apart
from the American street store which killed 56 year old, we performed the same
intervention and AB of Hagia Sophia, the Dymaion Coast of Zarouchlaiikon of Akrotiri in
Ovrya and AB in the city Papaflessa. ---- It was a small tribute to the memory of the
56-year-old worker who lost his life this Thursday when he dropped the floor he was
dropping from a height of 3.5 meters. ---- The store's address, perceived only by the
logic of profit, had neither the elemental "sensitivity" to close the shop after the
tragic death of the worker, and the next day it closed only after 4 in the afternoon, so
that the his colleagues go to his funeral. In the next few days, he did not hesitate to
spread that the death of the 56-year-old was due to a heart attack he suffered, wanting to
renounce his very serious and exclusive responsibilities due to the lack of security measures.

The forensic report clearly showed that death was due to craniocerebral injuries suffered
by the 56-year-old in his fall, thus widening the long list of murdered workers for
bosses' profits, a list that breaks down labor "accidents and has caused severe injuries
to workers and many times he has deprived them of their own life.

Besides, it has been known for many years that the company in AB Vasilopoulos (majority
owned by Delhaize, a Belgian supermarket chain) has a policy of recycling workers to
reduce labor costs (wages, stamps, bonuses, etc.) creates conditions of catharsis with
intensified work, cuts of rights and humiliations.

Let's give a class answer to the death that we have!

Against the generalized terrorism and repression, in the conditions of slavery and
impoverishment imposed by the state and the bosses in the workplace, there is another way.
The way of workers' organization, resistance, demand and social-class struggle. Although
this option may seem difficult, especially in today's circumstances, it is the only one
that can give a chance to our struggles and make them victorious, breaking the wider
climate of employer's arbitrariness and forbearance.

DO NOT LIVE DOLLS! DO NOT HAPPY DEATH!

Pride marches, organized during the months of May and June in many cities, are all festive
and political occasions to draw up reports on the state of oppression experienced by LGBT
people (Lesbians, Gay, Bi, Trans ) and to bring claims and move the balance of power.
Libertarian Alternative is supportive of these fights for more equality and social
justice. ---- Increased homophobic statements ---- LGBT people in France suffer from
material discrimination: difficulties to obtain a job or housing, exclusion from certain
social circles, violence. The SOS Homophobie association publishes each year a report on
homophobic acts declared in France. In 2017, and for the second year in a row, the numbers
are up ! Proof that homophobia is not going back in our country.

LGBT migrants at risk
74 countries in the world penalize homosexuality and / or transidentity. In some
countries, it is even punishable by the death penalty. Migrants from these countries who
arrive in France and need to acquire refugee status are abused by the French
administration. The stories of the persecutions experienced are extremely painful, but
always questioned by the authorities. This was the case for our Guinean comrade Moussa. He
left his country after seeing his companion burned alive. However, the French authorities
wanted to send him back! It is only through the mobilization of activists that Moussa has
been able to stay for the moment, but he is now preparing to be judged. It is unbearable
that LGBT migrants, who, like other migrants, are subjected to bullying and violence in
France, can not be welcomed. To send them back is to promise them death. We must welcome
them all, like other migrant people.

Homophobia exploited by racists
Of course, as this homophobia is no longer invisible, the government and the reactionaries
must give the hat to others than themselves. The year in which homophobic acts were
highest is 2013, when the Manif for All was at its peak. And yet, those who are blamed are
... the migrants ! Ludovic Pajot, MP FN, cracked a statement in this sense entitled "
Massive immigration is responsible for massive homophobia  ." This is obviously a gigantic
masquerade that serves both to ignore French homophobia and to blame the migrants. This
racist speech must be fought.

PMA for all
To resist reactionary attacks, it is not only a matter of defending oneself, one must also
make offensive demands. The opening of the right to the PMA (Medically Assisted
Procreation) for all is a major issue. Today, the PMA can only be carried out in France
for a heterosexual couple. To open it to lesbian couples and single women is to accept
that you can start a family without the participation of a man. Obviously, the
Conservatives will stand up against this measure that is part of the Macron program. The
fight will be fierce, and we must not expect much from this government that wants to spare
the reactions !

The fight for the PMA and for the rights of LGBT people will be on the street. You have to
be on the offensive !

We interview José Luís Carretero, secretary of the Solidaridad Obrera union, which is the
third central anarcho-syndicalist in the state. It is often one of the least known trade
unions in the libertarian panorama (leaving aside sectoral SAS-type trade unions and
others of local scope), while at other times it is presented as the necessary hinge to
reconvene anarcho-syndicalism in a single organization With the interview we intend to
approach their most daily reality and see their projection. ---- We also take the
opportunity to learn about the many-sided militancy of Jose Luis, an amateur economist
(although without a diploma - he tends to joke that he will be accused of intrusion)
through the ICEA or the Burbuja collective, professor, disseminator (Crisis magazine,
Queimada publishing house) , visible face of the movements in some international media
(Sputnik, HispanTV) and ultimately a friendly face that is always willing to contribute.

ALB News.- What type of OS have you found when you take over the secretariat?

Solidaridad Obrera is a small organization, with a large presence in some specific
companies, such as the Madrid Metro. An assembly and very combative organization with a
union activity that has spread in recent years outside the Metro, which was his
birthplace, to cover other sectors such as telemarketing, street cleaning or the Renfe. In
addition, the "Soli" is very active in the field of social struggles, participating in an
innumerable number of platforms against repression (Platform for freedom of Alfon, for
freedom of expression, etc), for health rights (CAS Madrid) or by public transport (Madrid
in Public Transport), for example.

Solidaridad Obrera has always opted for the unity of action of combative unionism and
anarcho-syndicalism, and we have always been present in the coordinators and platforms
that, like the Combative and Class Bloc at the state level or the late Unitary Block at
the Madrid level, have intended to generate spaces for the common work of all the trade
unionism that opposes the bureaucracy and officialism of CCOO and UGT.

Likewise, Solidaridad Obrera is an organization that does not charge state subsidies and
has not been freed either. The union hours of the delegates are enjoyed for fortnights and
everyone has to go through their work every month. The delegates, in addition, are
revocable at all times by the assembly of the union section (although bourgeois justice
does not always understand the democratic legitimacy of this form of operation).
Solidaridad Obrera is only financed with the fees of its members and, despite what it may
seem in a world governed by large donors and public subsidies, it has no money problems:
we have the right income for our level of activity, and we are independent of any external
force, be it the State, the bosses or any political party.

ALB News.- What has the union changed in recent years (for example in the last decade)?

In the last decade there has been a process of growth and extension beyond the Madrid
Metro, and some other redoubts such as Alicante, as well as the development of a dynamic
of ideological openness and ability to work with other union forces and social movements .

There was already a stage of growth in the 90s related to the strong links established
with the autonomous youth movement of Madrid in those years, but the growth of recent
times has more to do with union activity: we have expanded our activity to new locations (
Barcelona, Guadalajara, Valencia ...) and other labor sectors (telemarketing, cleaning,
packaging ...).

We have also decided to promote as much as possible the unity of action with the
alternative union forces and grassroots social movements. It is about practicing a trade
unionism that is not enclosed in the work centers, but also standing for the formation of
an effective counterpower of the working class in all those issues that concern it (public
services, ecology, housing, repression, etc.). ). A social unionism that complements and
nourishes the combat labor unionism and assembly that we practice in the workplace. It is
about operating on three fundamental levels: organizing workers of all kinds in the face
of precariousness and the loss of rights, building a workers' counterpower that has a
presence in strategic sectors such as transport,

ALB News.- Have there been adjustments in the union model of Solidaridad Obrera? Could you
remind us?

In our VII Congress, held in Madrid at the beginning of this year, a series of very
important papers were approved for the "Soli" union model:

The first one, written with a wide participation of affiliates, on the ecology and the
care that introduced the whole issue of the ecological contradictions of senile capitalism
in the framework of our trade union activity. In addition, feminism was explicitly treated
as an axis of primordial action, which has favored the participation of our organization
in the 8M women's strike, together with the other anarcho-syndicalist organizations. It is
a paper aimed at determining some important axes of the model of society for which we bet
(since we are not just a union without more, but a revolutionary union that seeks the end
of capitalism and its replacement by an egalitarian, free and self-managed society) like
ecofeminism and care.

There was also another presentation dedicated to the implementation of a complete system
of internal training and cultural action of our organization, which has ranged from
conducting talks and workshops for the whole working class, to the implementation of a
on-line training platform for members and the recovery of our analysis and debate magazine
( El Solidario ). It is about recovering, updating and expanding the workers' culture, in
all its aspects, and to train our militants for union and social action. Putting
intelligence at the service of struggle

Another presentation, on the other hand, has been dedicated to the organization's alliance
policy. We know that the social change we want can not be done alone, so we look for
allies and fellow travelers who support our society proposal and our struggle for workers'
rights. These alliances have several aspects: the alliance with the rest of the combative
and independent workers' forces (union or not) that, one day, allows the construction of a
great class union that can sweep the ruling class and bureaucracy in the world of work;
and the alliance with the rest of autonomous social movements that allow expanding the
counterpower of the majorities in the social group (feminist movement, ecologist, for
self-management, against repression, etc.)

ALB News.- Following your information, new points of implementation are seen, for example
in Catalonia. Can you tell us how it came about?

In Barcelona we have for a long time a nucleus of people that already had a presence in
some sector such as telemarketing, but recently that nucleus, which has given rise to a
trade union of various occupations, has been powerfully accompanied by two important
sections in the transport sector: Barcelona Metro and Renfe. Both sections are made up of
compañeras and compañeros who come from a union of much greater dimension, but with
growing internal problems (CGT). Actually, we do not know how an organization like the CGT
can afford to lose militants of the personal and human quality enjoyed by our new
colleagues. Trade unionists firmly inserted in their work centers and with decades of
experience. We are delighted that they are with us, and they tell us that they have never
worked so well.

ALB News.- And the unions of other new places?

Workers SolidarityI had presence, for a long time, in Madrid, Alicante, Cantabria and
Barcelona. A few months ago we started a union of various trades in Guadalajara, and right
now we are in the process of legalization of a very important union section in the stowage
of the port of Valencia, as well as a future trade union of various crafts in that town.
We believe that it is time for the autonomous and combative trade union movement to be
reinforced, organized and grow. As we have seen in recent years, the only alternative to
capitalism is still the self-organization of workers. The political adventurers of the
left wing of capital, social democrats or populists, will not save us. The extreme right,
always true to the needs of the plutocracy that says fight,

ALB News.- What is your assessment of your Secretariat? Can you combine it well with your
work and with your other facets of disseminator of ICEA or HispanTV?

I value as a great honor to exercise this secretariat. It is a huge responsibility and a
great adventure to represent some of the most combative workers in this country. I think
that, regarding this, we have to take into account two things:

In the first place: in Solidaridad Obrera the decisions are essentially assemblies and
collegiate. I do not have "control", but I help grease the equal cooperation between the
affiliates. This makes the work, at all times, a team effort, which makes it much easier.

Secondly: I am not released nor do I charge any amount for my work as general secretary. I
do not enjoy a single union hour. I go every day to my workplace to complete my full
working day as a public school teacher. I have all the responsibilities and duties
associated with my status as a teacher, at a time when working conditions in education are
being degraded by forced marches. That has made me, to focus on the work and the general
secretariat of Solidaridad Obrera, had to leave, at the end of last year, other spaces in
which I collaborated as the publishing house Queimada Ediciones . I have also left the
last month the presidency (not the militancy) of the ICEA. Despite that, I still write
regularly in magazines likeTransversal or the Ecuadorian publication Crisis , I give
lectures and talks, I am preparing, very slowly, some book, I participate in some
platforms of my profession like the group # FOLinvestigAcción, I collaborate sporadically
in programs of Hispan TV or Sputnik Radio ... I do what I can.

ALB News.- Now, the million dollar question, does anarcho-syndicalism have a future?

Anarcho-syndicalism will only have a future if it is able to adapt to the new time without
losing its defining elements: grassroots action, direct action, assembly, a class
discourse capable of integrating all sectors of the working class (both precarious , as
officials, temporary and false self-employed, unemployed and students, indigenous and
migrants ... etc).

We are going through a stage of senile capitalism at a global level in which the internal
contradictions of capitalism are increasingly more acute. There is a new poverty, a
growing offensive against the historical achievements of the working class, an extended
discourse, and financed by the think tanks of power, against the very concept of social
class and against workers' self-organization. There is a new fascism and new forms of
exploitation, associated with new technologies.

But there are also new forms of combat of global revolutionary unionism. Wild strikes in
the Asian workshop of the world (where the large manufacturing industry is concentrated in
large factories of hundreds of thousands of workers). Recovery of companies in crisis, to
make them work in a self-managed manner. Experiences of worker self-organization in the
most degraded labor sectors and neighborhoods, such as the kellys or the riders of
coleborativas platforms ...

Anarcho-syndicalism can become the recurring music of all that, in the reference of
struggle of the next generations, in what unifies and makes sense of all those experiences
of struggle. Workers Solidarity is why. But it can also sink into the dustbin of history,
transformed into a sectarian cavern of guys torn from the struggles of their society. In
an essentially conformist ideology, with a very radical and outlandish rhetoric that only
serves to move away from reality and not be tainted with the needs of the real working class.

It is up to the anarcho-syndicalists to decide what to do with anarcho-syndicalism in the
coming decades. But the working class will continue to fight, with or without us. That is
what has a future.

ALB News.- What are the international relations of SO?

Solidaridad Obrera belongs to the Coordinadora Roji-Negra Europea , an anarcho-syndicalist
platform to which organizations such as the Swedish SAC, the Italian USI or the French CNT
belong. It also belongs to the International Network of Solidarity and Struggle , an
international organization of grassroots unions, of which organizations such as Solidaires
(France) or Conlutas (Brazil) are part. Likewise, we collaborate assiduously with other
networks such as the International Network The Workers' Economy , which brings together
recuperated companies, trade union organizations and social movements from all over the
world; or with different organizations of Latin American anarchism such as the Gaúcha
Anarchist Federation (Brazil) orSocialist Libertarian Action (Argentina).

We are also part of international networks of transport workers, collaborating with the
subway unionists of Buenos Aires, for example. We understand that a global capitalism can
only be confronted by a global organization of workers. That we have to rebuild at some
point the Workers International capable of confronting the transnational value chains of
capital. It's time to start working in that direction.
