For too many months reactionary, sexist and homophobic ideas have been established in
Angers. From a far-right associative bar, through the right wing of the municipality,
quick feedback on these reactions whose first targets are women and minorities. ---- The
Manif for All had crystallized in Anjou a homophobia that was naively thought to have
disappeared for ages. The Cathos managed to mobilize several million people. Faced with
this surge of hate, it is clear that the mobilization was not up to par, the organized
gatherings not raising the crowds. There was reason to believe that the adoption of the
law opening marriage to same-sex couples would silence them. This is partly true. But the
most radical fringe has continued to mobilize.
This is notably the case of Common Sense, movement within the Republicans resulting from
the Manif for All, which has several elected municipal officials. They will have enough
weight for 2016 Christophe Béchu, the mayor of Angers to have posters removed from an HIV
prevention campaign. A strong mobilization then forced the mayor to a most pitiful
political gymnastics.

Among this municipal right wing, Maxence Henry is undoubtedly the one who goes furthest in
his public statements. A few weeks ago, in an RCF Anjou show about the legalization of
abortion in Ireland (where only men had the floor), the elected official did not mince his
words: "  Abortion is always a failure  " , so the 200,000 abortions a year in France are"
200,000 situations of failure ", and he even goes so far as to speak of a mysterious but
nevertheless powerful" steamroller that is put in favor of abortion ". [1]    The freedoms
that city halls use to talk about homosexuality or the rights of women to dispose of their
bodies have given some ideas to some to take action.

On the night of June 13 to 14, local Quazar, LGBT center in Angers, was tagged with
ignoble calls for the murder of homosexuals and Celtic crosses. [2]This act is signed and
we know in which direction to look for the culprits: members of the far right identity and
Catholic who since January has a local, called the Alvarium . [3]

Event: "  West, but still anti-fascist ! » Angeviscan antifascist festival which will take
place from September 16th to 22nd.

But the resistance is organized. Whether against the reactionary drift of a part of the
municipal team, as against the establishment of the extreme right, feminist, anti-fascist
and progressive organizations are hard at work to not give up an ounce of land to the
reactions of all hairs. On February 24, 500 people demonstrated against the Alvarium . On
Saturday, June 23, 150 people rallied against homophobia.

Manifest of February 24 against the local fascist Alvarium

Like what in Anjou and elsewhere, we must remain determined to fight for the equal rights
of all.

October 13th will see a national conference ‘Resisting the Market' hosted by the London
Region University and College Union (UCU) involving a number of networks and groups in the
UCU including the UCU Transformed, the Branch Solidarity Network and the UCU Left group.
Other than the latter, which is a long standing leftist caucus, these grassroots networks
are a product of the fight against changes to the University Superannuation Scheme (USS)
which took place earlier this year. This fight, which the UCU leadership did everything to
contain, saw an outpouring of activity at a Branch level unseen for many years as academic
and professional UCU members took initiatives and linked up through unofficial networks,
generally bypassing the official union structures. The level of engagement took not only
the union's leadership but also local branches by surprise. In part this was because
previous industrial action called by the UCU had been so pathetic and demoralising. The
enthusiasm and imagination shown was unprecedented, with some UCU Branches inviting other
unions and students to join their strike committees and a conscious reaching out in some
areas to grassroots unions such as the United Voices of the World in London and the
Scottish Couriers Network in Glasgow. However, whilst all this was encouraging and led to
a resounding rejection of a contemptuous ‘deal' pushed in the middle of the strike, the
reality was that the struggle was not extended to include even some workers with USS but
in other unions and the impact was not maximised. The offer from the employers to set-up a
Joint Expert Panel (JEP) which will look at 2017 evaluation of the pension scheme was
accepted by the membership but only postpones the inevitable Round Two of this fight.

And the need for organisation for that fight is what the national conference is, in part,
what needs to be developing. Ultimately, it will require the rank and file to
self-organise the struggle, to strengthen and develop the networks of resistance and take
control. Simply replacing the leadership, which has been the main focus of the left in the
past, is not enough. Time and energy wasted trying to ‘reform' the union will be better
spent trying to build an autonomous and independent rank and file movement which goes
beyond the UCU and encourages all University workers regardless of grade, role or status
to resist the the attacks of the employers.

As part of the trial of Clément Méric's assassins, which took place from 4 to 14
September, Alternative Libertaire paid numerous tributes to Clement Meric, antifascist
militant assassinated on 5 June 2013 precisely because he was antifascist. [1]In
particular, in order to repoliticize this crime, whose profoundly political character has
been regularly denied during the last five years, Alternative Libertaire participated in
the campaign initiated by the Committee for Clement in order to rename various streets and
squares in the name of our anti-fascist comrade. ---- Montreuil - September 7th ---- On
the initiative of Alternative Libertaire Montreuil, some forty people gathered on Friday,
September 7, late afternoon in front of the bakery in place François-Mitterrand in
Montreuil, so that the name of the antifascist Clément Méric replaces colonialist Louis
Faidherbe, the "  father of French imperialism  ". [2]

Brussels - 7 September
The comrades of Alternative Libertaire Brussels also paid tribute to Clement and his
fights antifascist and emancipator, Friday, September 7.

Nantes - September 8th

Accompanied by Solidarity Students, the activists of Alternative Libertaire Nantes
participated in the installation of two plaques in memory of Clément Méric, at the Place
de la Bourse in Nantes, on Saturday, September 8th.

The baptism of "  Rue Thurot  " in "  Rue Clement Meric  " and "  Place de la Bourse  " in
"  Place Clement Meric  ", which brings together over a hundred people, was also
accompanied by a speech:

Saint-Denis - September 9th
On Sunday September 9th, at the call of Alternative Libertaire Saint-Denis (as well as the
CGA, the NPA and the UL Solidaires), a few dozen people gathered "  Rue de la République "
in order to rename it "  Clément Méric Street  ".

Realized near the Sunday market of Saint-Denis, the laying of the plate was completed by a
speech.

Orleans - September 12
The Alternative Libertaire Orléans collective was present, along with the various other
appellant organizations, at the rally in honor of Clément on Wednesday, September 12th.

From the Place De Gaulle, the numerous and numerous participants formed an animated
procession going up to the crossing of the rue Royale and the street Jeanne d'Arc, where
there was affixed a plaque in memory of our anti-fascist comrade.

A unitary speech preceding the laying of the plaque, marked the tribute by insisting in
particular on the seriousness of the continuity of Clément's anti-fascist fight, which
should not be content to be a slogan:

Lorient - September 13th
A few dozen people responded to the call of Alternative Libertaire Lorient by gathering
place Paul Bert in Lorient, the evening of Thursday, September 13, to affix a plaque
honoring Clement Meric.

The name of Paul Bert, architect of racist theories and colonial ruler of Indochina who
lived in the XIX th century, has therefore given way to that of Clement, trade unionist
and antifascist of Brest origin.

Alternative Libertaire Lorient closed the rally by launching the municipality a call to
perpetuate this tribute to Clement.

Angers - September 13
On Thursday, September 13, on the eve of the verdict of the murder of Clément Méric, the
activists of Alternative Libertaire Angers and the Angevin Antifascist Network decided to
pay tribute to him.

A "  Place Clement Meric  " has symbolically covered the "  Square Alexis Carrel  ", named
after a doctor favorable to the eugenics and collabo of the regime of Petain and the Nazis.

The place is all the more meaningful because it is located close to the Alvarium ,
neo-fascist association bar. [3]

Rennes - 14th September
In tribute to Clement, on September 14th, the FA, the NPA, FO social action and Solidaires
Étudiant-es met at the initiative of Alternative Libertaire Rennes on the Place de la
République which for the occasion was renamed « Place Clement Meric  ".

Montpellier - September 14th
On the evening of Friday, September 14, pending the verdict of the murderous neo-Nazi
trial of Clement Meric, Alternative Libertaire Montpellier took part in the rally
initiated by the MAP (Montpellier Antifascist and Popular) in tribute to our comrade.

From the Place de la Comedie, the dozens of participants then went to Rue Jacques Coeur
to rename it to the name of our anti-fascist comrade who had fallen under the blows of the
extreme right.

A leaflet distributed during the tribute rightly recalled that "  fascism is
played[elsewhere ], in state racism, in the institutionalization of Islamophobia, in
police impunity, in the quasi-violent agitation. insurgent police unions, in the margins
of the state, security groups, private militias, etc. " [4]

Paris - 14th of September
On 14 September, as part of the Paris demonstration in honor of Clement Meric on the
occasion of the end of the trial of his murderers, Alternative Libertaire was present and
made a brief but strong speech, recalling the ideological character of death de Clément,
the justice and the necessity of his anti-fascist struggle and our will to pursue him !

5 YEARS AFTER THE PAUL WONDER OF THE GOLDEN ARMS OF THE GOLDEN EGG ... ---- Pavlos Fissas
fell dead from the golden killer knife George Roupakia in the morning of 18 September 2013
in Keratsini, when he and his company were attacked by an organized group of goldsmiths.
It is the same gang that, for years, has been battering immigrants, beating young people,
attacking trade unionists and social militants in self-organized struggle. Why the
fascists strike where state politics, boss interests and media propaganda suggest: against
the worst exploited part of society and against the movements declared to be the target of
state repression. ---- Golden Dawn, a state-run and governor since its inception, and a
political grandchild of the occupants and civil warriors of the occupation and the civil
war and the heir of the subversive action of the Gotsamans who murdered Lambrakis, as well
as of the Centaurs and the RNDN rangers who murdered and the fighter Professor Nikos
Tebondera, can now be portrayed as a supposedly anti-systemic force, but in fact there is
to develop the most conservative and reactive social instincts, dissolving those
collective, class and social ties contributing to social decision-making.

The lawsuit of the ASE which has been in progress for 3.5 years, has as its main political
objective the imposition of "democratic normality" and the consolidation of the theory of
the two extremes. Wishing to stifle the wrath of the murder of Paul Fussa that could not
be concealed and made visible their complicity, the state and the bosses attempt to put
society in the role of viewing a supposedly institutional treatment of the Nazis and
regaining social legitimacy. At the same time that the murderer Rupakia is in his home, at
the same time, he attempts to suppress the anti-fascist struggle on the streets through
the strike of mobilization and the persistent persecution of anarchists and anti-fascists.

At the same time, on the occasion of the stir of the so-called "Macedonian issue" and the
nationalist uprising that followed, the attempts of the re-emergence of the para-state
battalions and the fascist striking groups on the streets were attempted, while the
nationalist rallies of the previous period left behind an emerging - darker aspects of
modern history - nationalist enamel, who is called to be the vanguard of the bosses in the
social and class conflicts that will happen in the coming period, xaitias the continuation
of state-capitalist attack on society.

Today, where the far-right and fascist aspect of modern totalitarianism, the most extreme
manifestation of the exploitative cluster of state and capital is widened within the
framework of the "Fortress Europe", the isolation of the fascists and the conflict with
them everywhere in the social field becomes even greater importance. From Western and
Central Europe to the Balkans, the emergence of fascists on the streets, their open
relationship with the deep state, and their usefulness in imposing regime choices make the
need for vigilance vis-à-vis the fascist fascist groups even more perceptible and
imperative. The necessity of organizing the struggle and the formation of policies,

Faced with repressive and partisan terrorism, tools for imposing the state of the world
and the bosses, only the world of struggle and the organized presence of the movement can
serve as a basis for the formation of social and class self-defense. As a springboard for
the social and classical counter-attack that will pass over the parastatic neo-Nazis and
their patrons, to build the society of Equality, Solidarity and Freedom, the world of
Anarchy and Communist Communism.

We do not forget the murder of Pavlos Fissas on September 18, 2013 in Keratsini.

We do not forget hundreds of murderous attacks on refugees and immigrants. Not even the
dozens of rabid attacks on squats, self-managed spaces, and anarchist, left and
anti-fascist fighters. We stand in solidarity with the occupation of an old morgue in Alex
/ city that recently received an arson attack by fascists.

From the internationalist and anti-fascist barricades of Kamara and Propylaea,  from the
grand internationalist anti-fascist demonstration of solidarity to the occupation of the
Libertatia of thousands of militants on March 10 in Thessaloniki  to dozens of small and
great anti-fascist mobilizations throughout Greece, the Balkans, Western Europe and
America ...

To co-ordinate the phasing by building a platform, horizon, and counterpart social and tax
movement that targets the whole of the system that is generalized.

The dispute ended positively with the four tenants involved receiving a total of £832.00
in compensation. We have delayed issuing this statement until after confirmation of the
compensation payments. ---- Before our involvement, the four tenants' complaints had been
ignored; they found themselves being passed from pillar to post; their efforts to speak
directly to Fortis managers were invariably met with claims that the person was not
available; in some cases, these overseas students were met with what could most kindly be
described as insulting claims by Fortis staff that they cannot could not understand them.
---- We became involved when one of the tenants was put in contact with us in May. In
conjunction with the tenants, Manchester SF sent Fortis a letter demanding compensation
for the poorly maintained accommodation. After Fortis responded by denying they had any
case to answer we, along with the tenants, arranged a number of pickets and phone
blockades during June and July. These had the effect of forcing Fortis to recognise the
tenants' complaints and to shift their position, upping their first compensation offer
twice, after initially offering nothing.

We salute the companions and companions, brothers and sisters of farj this birthday. In a
Extremely serious moment for Latin American peoples with attacks on our achievements More
Felt-at all levels-by the ruling class, the validity of the farj and the militancy of It
is of strategic importance. Río de Janeiro represents a bastion of Resistance, not only to
adjustment and removal of rights, but also to the "test" of militarisation Which is being
held by the reactionary sectors on the continent. ---- In the same land as the strikes
strikes and worker leagues of 1917 and 1918, that resistance to dictatorship Military,
that the mobilizations of 2013, the same terraque referring to anarchism as malvina
Tabarez, José Oiticica, Angelina Soares, domingos passos and ideal peres, among many
others. In this Same land the and cab builds each day with the people a possibility of future.

In light of the absence of the London Anarchist Book Fair this year,  Freedom  and
Housmans  came together to organize a decentralized anarchist festival on October 20 and
21, and we would like you to get involved! ---- The idea is to have events going on in
radical locations all over London, organized by distinct groups, all happening under the
banner that  is not the Anarchist Book Fair . If you already have something planned for
the weekend and you think it would be appropriate, then send us an e-mail
(anarchistfestival (at) riseup.net ) and we will add you to our program. If you want to
organize something, book a place and let us know by email when everything is confirmed.
---- We want to approach broadly anarchism, and provided it is anti-authoritarian and
anti-capitalist it is within. We will not accept any event that is racist, sexist,
capacitating, transphobic, etc., and the policies of each venue should be followed as
usual. We want to have an emphasis on getting new people involved in anarchist politics,
so introductory / easily accessible events are especially wanted.

Examples of events that we think would be legal:

- Introductory conversations

- Groups of readings

- Book Launches

- Coffee mornings

- Days of visitation

- Walking Tours

"Anything else you can think of!"

Accessibility

Please be aware of any access restrictions for any venue you organize as we will include
them in the program.

We hope to hear more from you!
