Dear friends,
The above image of Tess Thompson Talley recently went viral, and not for any happy reasons. In it, she's posing with a giraffe she just murdered for fun in South Africa. It's caused understandable outrage among conservationists, environmentalists and animal lovers alike, especially because what she did was actually completely legal, despite the fact that giraffes are considered a vulnerable species.
According to a 2016 survey, there are less than 100,000 giraffes left in the wild. Over the last generation, almost 40% of the species has been lost.
Giraffes, like elephants, rhinos, and lions are legally hunted in South Africa — despite their vulnerable or endangered status. We must fight for a ban on any and all trophy hunts in the country.
Will you add your voice to this petition to make sure the South African government hears us loud and clear?
Thank you,

Alex B.

P.S. The photo of Tess' trophy hunt is truly a disgusting sight, but we must use it to spur the South African government to take action for animals. Please call on South Africa to ban trophy hunting now.
