It is precisely the 'exceptional' experience (since it was the first and only) of Spain 
that has clearly demonstrated to the history of anarchism how much a strategic 
misunderstanding is to yield to the fallacy of bourgeois universal suffrage, if only for a 
purely conjunctural matter: exactly the "broad progressive front" of the republican 
government elected by the anarcho-syndicalist vote that favored the advance of fascism, 
first refusing to release arms to the antifascist workers and then orchestrating with the 
"communists" the great betrayal of the revolutionary camp because, according to the 
members of the republican government, they even declared publicly, it was preferable to 
the "fascist order" than the "anarchist subversion". ---- Above all this process there is

themselves in the same situation as the small group of CNT members who eventually joined 
the Republican government during the civil war and who at one point saw themselves as part 
of a body that plotted and executed a scandalous betrayal of what was the greatest 
revolutionary self-management experience in history.

Yes, the experience of exception of the CNT during that period is really a great 
historical landmark for the strategic maturation of the libertarian field, but the 
unmistakable lesson that it brought us is not a pretended formula according to which "in 
times of fratricidal mobilization of fascism aims to weaken a potential advance of the 
revolutionary camp, the anarchists must ally themselves with the authoritarian / 
self-styled progressives, "but rather (the unequivocal lesson of this experience is) the 
certainty so often demonstrated by all revolutionary libertarian historical experiences of 
that whoever wants pyramidal authority, not freedom, will always be a 'natural ally' of 
the hierarchy - read: militarism, elitism,of the structure of class domination (even if it 
is from a "managerial" class to a "managed" class) - and therefore (who wants pyramidal 
authority) will always be a "natural and contumacious enemy" of the libertarian project.

Experiments should serve to broaden the accumulation of historical learning, not to be 
erected into a sort of "neurotic symptom" by which one remains attached indefinitely to 
the repetition of certain inadequate response schemes.

And in the face of the age-old history of anarchism, we do not learn from this 
accumulation of experience, rather than favoring "organizational neuroses of repetition", 
it is a symptom of intellectual limitation.
