End the UK ivory trade - no exceptions!

The ivory trade has taken the lives of too many elephants. Let's make sure the UK closes its ivory trade without any exceptions! Sign Now Dear friends, On average, an elephant is killed every 15 minutes for its ivory, and their population has fallen by almost a third in Africa since 2007. British law already makes it illegal to sell ivory from elephants killed after 1947, but a loophole allows dealers to claim an item as "antique", or produced before 1947, without showing any evidence. So, we still need a total ban on ivory sales! Sign now to call for a ban on all ivory sales in the UK. There is a bill going through UK Parliament right now that could significantly tighten the existing law. The Ivory Bill 2017-19 still contains some exceptions (e.g. for items pre-1918 and for musical instruments etc.), so we're still calling for a total ban, but it does demonstrate progress.
