The UK Prime Minister must sack the Housing Advisor, Roger Scruton. He has long history of bigoted and hateful public statements. Sign Now Luc, Theresa May recently appointed a new housing adviser, Roger Scruton. In the past, he has argued that children should be instilled with a feeling of "revulsion" towards homosexuals, and challenged the rights of same-sex couples to adopt. It has now also come to light that Scruton has publicly said that there is "no such crime" as date rape. A video of these shocking statements made in a 2005 lecture has been unearthed and published online by Buzzfeed News. In the video he says: "Whole new crimes have come into existence, like this supposed crime of 'date rape'. What that means is — of course there is no such crime — but nevertheless, when a woman cries 'date rape' what she means is 'the whole thing went too quickly', you know, 'I was not prepared', and so consent is withdrawn as it were in retrospect." Scruton's new role will see him advising the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. He will be chair of a new public body championing beautiful buildings. The person in this role should be someone who respects the beautifully diverse communities and humanity of the UK public.
