Save koalas' habitat before it's too late.

Koalas' habitat is disappearing at an alarming rate. The New South Wales government can't sit by and let them go extinct.

Dear friends,
The koala may well be Australia's most iconic species. But if humans keep destroying their homes, they could go extinct within our lifetime.
In the last 20 years, the Australian government estimates that nearly 2,000 square miles of forest have been felled. That's a conservativeestimate, yet even these cautious numbers comprise an area the size of Luxembourg. Nearly 90 million animals have disappeared along with these forests.
Yet, despite these alarming trends, the local government in New South Wales — home to many of Australia's remaining koalas — has done little to nothing. Rather than protect forests, the government continues to allow clearcutting that puts the fate of koalas, and millions of other animals at risk.
Koalas only call Australia home. That means it's the responsibility of Australian leaders to protect these creatures for the whole world. Tell NSW Premier Berejiklian to put commonsense limits on clearcutting to save koalas.
Thank you,

P.S. Koalas are teetering on the edge of extinction. New South Wales must stop allowing the destruction of their habitat.
