Dear friends,
You may have heard from us previously about Pizza the polar bear. He was the "World's Saddest Bear," who once lived at the Grandview Aquarium in Guangzhou, China. This place is a pathetic excuse for an animal park, located inside of a shopping mall. It's now back on our radar, and unfortunately, it's for an equally depressing reason.
Grandview is still home to several animals living in unsuitable conditions, including belugas, seals and a walrus. The aquarium has been called a living hell for good reason, and it needs to be closed down immediately.
For seals and whales, marine mammals that usually have a vast ocean to call their home, being forced to live in an empty tank in a dimly lit facility is absolute hell. And how could an aquarium on the second floorof a shopping mall be an appropriate place for massive, wild animals? Imagine if there was a leak, or worse, a flood!
Pizza may be at a better facility — thanks to animal activists like you — but the remaining animals still need your help. Add your name to the petition urging the city of Guangzhou to shut down the Grandview Aquarium and release these animals to a sanctuary.
Thank you,
P.S. The remaining animals at the Grandview Aquarium deserve to live in peace in a sanctuary where they can enjoy their remaining years. Not holed away inside a shopping mall. Please sign the petition.
